The start of a season-long celebration honoring one of the NHRA’s greatest legends and four iconic events will make up the opening of the 2027 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

Eight of the top stars in NHRA’s Pro Stock Motorcycle category are headed west to Sonoma Raceway to compete in the GETTRX NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle All-Star Callout on Saturday, July 18, as part of the 38th annual DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge.

Six-time IndyCar champion Scott Dixon and the 2026 Indy 500 champion Felix Rosenqvist will compete alongside Pato O'Ward as full-time IndyCar competitors for Arrow McLaren in 2027. In addition, Ryan Hunter-Reay returns for a second one-off Indy 500 campaign next May.

Pato O'Ward took the lead from Christian Lundgaard on Lap 42 and held off a late charge from his teammate to win at Mid-Ohio.

The win was the first for O’Ward in nearly a year since he won last season’s Toronto street race.

Enzo Fittipaldi completed a flawless weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, leading every lap for the second straight race to sweep the INDY NXT by Firestone doubleheader.
