Taylor Ferns to Race with the World of Outlaws Again this Week; Fremont Speedway Also On-Tap

One of the goals Taylor Ferns and her team set before the season was to make their World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series debut. She patiently waited most of the season and was able to check that off her list last week at the famed Eldora Speedway in Ohio. The 2011 USAC D1 Midget Series champion won’t have to wait very long to race with the series again, as she’ll compete with the “Greatest Show on Dirt” this week at Bloomington Speedway in Indiana.

Gord Shepherd takes home 2014 Whelen All-American Series Late Model Ontario Championship

With a pair of top four finishes on the final night of competition this year at Barrie Speedway, Gord Shepherd would take home the 2014 Whelen All-American Series Late Model Ontario Championship, eight points ahead of Rick Walt. For Shepherd, it marks the second time in his career that he has won the Ontario crown, repeating last year's success. It also marks his third track championship in the last four seasons at Barrie Speedway.

Bobby Labonte Racing Announces Changes for 2015

Bobby Labonte Racing (BLR) announced today the team will cease operations at the end of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season. Since 2007, BLR and driver Earl Pearson, Jr. have enjoyed championship success together. They won back-to-back Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series championships and some of dirt late model top events including the Indiana Icebreaker, Colossal 100 and the Dirt Track World Championship among others. The team was also the founder and house team of the Longhorn Chassis beginning in 2011.
