IZOD, INDYCAR SERIES TO CONCLUDE SPONSORSHIP AFTER 2013

INDYCAR announced today that IZOD will conclude its sponsorship of the IndyCar Series after the current season.

Tracy Hines & Fellow USAC Competitors Bookend Lawrenceburg’s Season

Lawrenceburg Speedway in Indiana served as the Midwest opener for the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car Series back in April and will close that portion of the 2013 campaign for the series this weekend. For Tracy Hines, the event at Lawrenceburg will serve as one of the last two major open wheel events in his home state of Indiana that he will compete this season, before heading west to wrap up the year.

Kraig Kinser has had a good amount of success on small, tight bullrings this season with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series. He has nine top-10 finishes on tracks that measure one-third or one-quarter of a mile in distance.

Before heading to a half-mile, five-eighths-mile and four-tenths-mile to wrap up the season with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series, the native of Watertown, Conn., will compete once more on a short track as the series visits Fremont Speedway in Ohio this weekend, a track that Gravel has turned numerous laps at.
