Austin Hill (fifth) and Rookie of the Year contenders Christian Eckes (sixth) and Derek Kraus (eighth) led Toyota at the rain-shortened Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday evening.

Truex on Racing at Kentucky: "I’m looking forward to getting back on track at Kentucky Speedway,” said Truex. “Our Marquis Spas Chevrolet Silverado looks great, and I know the team has worked hard to put together a strong piece. Kentucky is a fun track to race at. It will definitely be a challenge with no track time before the race starts, but I’m excited.”

Natalie Decker on Racing at Kentucky: “It was such a bummer to miss last week at Pocono Raceway,” said Decker. “I’m feeling much better and am ready to get back to the track with our N29 Capital Partners/REMarkable Pillow Chevrolet Silverado and my Niece Motorsports team. I know everyone has been working hard to prepare this truck, and I’m excited to get on track.”

Ty Majeski on Racing at Kentucky: “We had such a strong truck at Pocono,” said Majeski. “So, I’m ready to get on track at Kentucky and go after some redemption. As always, I know Phil and the whole team have been working hard to put together a strong piece for this weekend’s race. We had a great start to the week, winning the Slinger Nationals, so I’m looking forward to keeping that momentum going as we head to Kentucky.”

NASCAR was already set to return to Daytona International Speedway in late August, but now the iconic venue is set to host a double dose of two exciting NASCAR weekends during the month, one with unprecedented twists, literally.

Sheldon Creed qualified second and led 36 laps in his Gander Trucks debut at Kentucky Speedway in 2019. Creed has one ARCA Menards Series start at the track in 2017 where he started on pole, finished third and led 68 laps.

Todd Gilliland is ready to get back behind the wheel of his No. 38 Speedco Ford F-150 Saturday evening at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta. Coming off a successful month of racing in June, he's hoping to pick up where he left off in July. In the three NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races in June, Gilliland earned two top-five and three top-10 finishes. That momentum vaulted him up to fifth in the driver point standings.

Tanner Gray will be pulling double duty on Saturday at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta. Gray will compete in both the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series (NGROTS) race that evening, and also the ARCA Menards Series race earlier that afternoon. He has no previous starts at Kentucky an any series, so the extra seat time will be a benefit for the rookie.

With the uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus and the impact on the industry, this year’s NASCAR Champion’s Week and NASCAR Cup Series Awards originally scheduled to take place in Nashville will not occur.
