Beginner’s Guide for Betting on NASCAR

Betting on NASCAR races can be a fun and exciting way to add to your enjoyment of the sport. With various betting options available, it’s essential to understand the basics of betting on NASCAR so that you can make informed decisions and potentially win big.

Here is a step-by-step guide to betting on NASCAR races:

Choose a reputable sportsbook.

The first step in betting on NASCAR is to find a reputable sportsbook. Look for a sportsbook that is licensed and regulated by a reputable authority and offers a wide range of betting options for NASCAR races. Every sportsbook is different, but if you look for the best offshore sportsbooks then you’ll find one that suits your wagering style and betting needs.

You can also look for reviews and ratings of the sportsbook to see what other bettors have to say about their experience.

Study the NASCAR drivers and teams

Before betting on a NASCAR race, it’s important to research the drivers and teams. Look at their track records, current form, and performance statistics to make informed betting decisions and increase your chances of winning.

Learn about the variety of bets available.

There are numerous varieties of bets you can place when betting on NASCAR races, including:

Moneyline bets

Moneyline bets are the easiest type of bet, where you simply pick the driver you think will win the race.

Outright bets

Outright bets allow you to bet on the driver who will win the overall championship for the season, rather than just a single race.

Futures bets

Futures bets allow you to bet on the winner of a specific event, such as the Daytona 500, before the race takes place.

Prop bets

Prop bets give you the option to bet on specific outcomes within the race, such as which driver will lead the most laps or which team will have the fastest pit stop.

Matchup bets

Matchup bets allow you to bet on the performance of two drivers in a head-to-head matchup, rather than betting on the entire field.

Consider the track conditions

When betting on NASCAR, it’s important to consider the conditions of the track. Different tracks have different layouts and challenges, so it’s important to research the track and understand how it will affect the race.

All of this information can help you make better-informed betting decisions to increase your chances of winning.

Monitor the odds

The odds for

The NASCAR odds on the races can change heading into the race, so it is important to monitor them and make any necessary adjustments to your bets.

You need to keep in mind that the odds are set by the sportsbook and it is based on the information that is available to them. So any changes in the odds can reflect changes in the conditions, the drivers, and other factors that may affect the race.

Manage your bankroll

It’s important to manage your bankroll when wagering on NASCAR, as this can help you avoid losing all of your money in a single race. Begin by setting a budget for your bets and stick to it, even if you’re on a winning streak.

Also, consider spreading your bets across multiple races rather than betting all of your money on a single race.

Stay disciplined

Betting can be fun and exciting, but it’s vital to stay disciplined and avoid making hasty decisions. Stick to your betting strategy and don’t let emotions cloud your judgment.

With a little research and knowledge, you can make informed betting decisions and potentially win big.

Remember to choose a reputable sportsbook, study the drivers and teams, learn about the different types of bets, consider the track conditions, monitor the odds, manage your bankroll, and stay disciplined. Good luck!

Rev Racing gears up for Daytona ARCA season-opener

Jack Wood and Lavar Scott to make Rev Racing debut in AMS-opener at Daytona

February 9, 2023

Concord, NC — Rev Racing prepares for the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) season opener at Daytona International Speedway (DIS), fielding two entries who will compete on the 2.5-mile tri-oval in the Daytona 200. Rev Racing will field Lavar Scott, ARCA Menards Series East full-time driver and Jack Wood, part-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) driver at Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM). The team capped off their 2022 season as the AMS Driver Champions with Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet.

Rev Racing collectively garnered 3 wins, 17 top 5’s and 30 top 10’s throughout the 2022 AMS season. Rev Racing looks to carry the momentum into 2023 as contenders of the 2023 AMS title.

Wood, who is a newcomer to Rev Racing, is looking forward to the added seat time to support his part-time NCTS commitments with KBM for 2023. Due to the technical alliance between Rev Racing and KBM, announced last year during championship weekend in Phoenix, the pairing seemed like a natural fit. Wood will run the No. 6 WB/Velocity Racing Chevrolet in Daytona. He is scheduled to run 7 races with the team throughout the AMS season, and potentially more. Wood will also be competing in the NextEra Energy 250 in conjunction with his AMS commitments.

The California native made his NCTS debut at Circuit of the Americas in May of 2021. Wood has tallied 35 starts, including a full season (23 races) in 2022. He will continue to compete in multiple series in 2023 and anchor the No. 51 Chevrolet. He competed in one AMS racing event in 2022 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

“I’m super excited to return to the ARCA Menards Series this year running a part-time schedule with Rev Racing.” said Jack Wood. “Getting more seat time will be a great platform for me to continue to learn and grow my skill set. Some weekends I’ll be running both ARCA and Trucks and I’ll be able to apply what I learn in the ARCA race to the truck race. Rev is coming off of a really strong season and I’m looking forward to getting onto the track with them and showing what we got!”

Lavar Scottt, who is slated to run a full-time AMS East car for Rev Racing is eager for this experience as he enters his rookie season in 2023. Scott will be returning for his fourth season with Rev Racing as a part of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. In 2022, Scott earned multiple top 5s and 10s in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series.

“I am very excited for Daytona and blessed to have the opportunity with Rev Racing and NASCAR Drive for Diversity,” said Lavar Scott. “This series is very different from anything I have competed in, but I trust myself, as well as the team who is always ready for a good showing.”

Andres Perez de Lara, who will compete full-time in the AMS with Rev Racing in 2023, will not meet the age requirements of the Series until the Phoenix race in March.

Wood and Scott will return to AMS action beginning with a practice session on February 16th. General Tire Pole Qualifying will take place on the 17th with the Daytona 200 80-lapper on the 18th. The AMS season-opener will broadcast live on FS1 and the Fox Sports App.

About Rev Racing: Rev Racing seeks to obtain the highest quality applicants representing diverse backgrounds and develop them into successful NASCAR drivers. Started by Max Siegel in 2009, Rev Racing manages the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. Rev Racing currently operates and manages drivers in the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East, NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, and a youth racing initiative.

FULLTIME JD MOTORSPORTS DRIVER BRENNAN POOLE AND MACC DOOR SYSTEMS TEAM UP FOR SIX RACES STARTING WITH DAYTONA

GAFFNEY, S.C. — Brennan Poole is ready for his moment. After a three-race run with JD Motorsports at the end of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, the Texas driver is back with the Gaffney, S.C. based team for a full-season Xfinity campaign this year.

“It’s been a few years since I went the distance in the Xfinity Series, and I’m more than ready to buckle in and give it my best shot,” Poole said. “I know enough about the JD Motorsports operation to know that Johnny (team owner Johnny Davis) and his people always put solid cars on the track. We’ll be more than ready to go when we arrive in Daytona.”

The 33-race Xfinity schedule opens at Daytona International Speedway, on Feb. 18, the day before the Daytona 500 Cup Series opener.

Poole, 31, has raced two full seasons (2016 and 2017) and portions of two others in Xfinity cars. In 2015, he started 17 races, scoring a pair of top 10s.

Poole will ride into Daytona with the strong sponsorship backing of Macc Door Systems, a family-owned company that has supplied garage doors and openers to installation companies and building suppliers for the past 20 years.

Macc will sponsor Poole at Daytona, the series’ two Las Vegas races, Talladega, Nashville and Bristol. “Any time we can team with Macc, it’s a good thing,” said Davis. “We feel like we know the people there as family, and working together to boost both of our teams is an upfront goal as we move into the new season.”

Poole’s racing background perfectly prepared him for a strong run at Xfinity Series success. He racked up 90 wins in quarter-midget racing and won the 2002 national championship in that very competitive division. He moved up to Legends racing on asphalt, scoring 96 wins in two years.

Poole moved to dirt modifieds in 2007 and won the Texas World Dirt Track Championship. In three following years in asphalt late models, he won 10 times and became the first driver in UARA history to win three races in a row and six in a season. He won the UARA championship in 2011 and twice was named the series most popular driver.

Poole jumped into ARCA racing in 2011, winning in his first start at Salem Speedway. In 35 ARCA starts, he won six times, establishing himself as a candidate for rides in NASCAR’s top three national series.

After running in Xfinity and doing well, Poole ran 35 of 36 Cup Series races in 2020, scoring a ninth in heavy traffic at Talladega.

Now Poole is back with force in Xfinity and ready to do the full February-to-November sweep through the schedule.

“I have a lot of experience in this series, and I know a lot about the tracks,” Poole said. “I feel like we can make some noise this year. I’m anxious to get started.”

An innovator and influencer in the digital arena, Poole was the first driver to vlog. He also developed a monetized YouTube channel with his “Running with the Bull” series. The content was featured at tracks on video screens and acquired hundreds of thousands of impressions across social and digital media.

Although Poole is dedicated and devoted to racing, his interests cover a wide spectrum. He is involved in extreme sports, skateboarding, music and media.

Kaulig Racing took to social media to reveal its driver-crew chief pairing for the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series season that is nine days away from commencing. For this season, all three Xfinity crew chiefs that feature Bruce Schlicker, Jason Trinchere and Alex Yontz will remain with their respective Chevrolet Camaro entries.

Yontz, a five-time race-winning crew chief who swapped from Kaulig’s No. 11 to 10 entry late during the previous season, will remain atop the No. 10 pit box that will serve as the team’s “all-star” entry and be piloted by multiple competitors. Justin Haley will be driving the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro for the Xfinity season opener at Daytona International Speedway while former Xfinity champion Austin Dillon will make his first start of the season with Kaulig at Auto Club Speedway in late February. In addition, veteran AJ Allmendinger will be making select Xfinity starts alongside his full-time Cup Series duties with Kaulig, beginning at Circuit of the Americas in March.

Meanwhile, Trinchere, who commenced the previous season as the crew chief of the No. 10 entry before transitioning to Kaulig’s No. 11 entry, will be remaining with the No. 11 Chevrolet Camaro team to crew chief Daniel Hemric, who returns for a second full-time stint at Kaulig. Trinchere has five Xfinity career victories to his resume, all of which occurred in 2021 with Allmendinger as the duo made the Playoffs before finishing in fourth place in the final standings. Hemric, the 2021 Xfinity Series champion, is coming off his first season at Kaulig, where he achieved a pole, three top-five results, 14 top-10 results, an average-finishing result of 15.6 and an Xfinity Playoff berth before being eliminated from title contention during the Round of 12 and finishing in ninth place in the final driver’s standings.

Lastly, Schlicker will return as the crew chief of the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro entry that is set to be piloted by Chandler Smith, who will embark in his first full-time campaign in the Xfinity circuit and compete for the Rookie-of-the-Year title. Schlicker has six Xfinity victories to his resume, with his first occurring at Talladega Superspeedway in 2021 with Jeb Burton before notching five with Allmendinger during the previous season. Smith, the 2021 Craftsman Truck Series Rookie-of-the-Year recipient, graduates to the Xfinity Series following two full-time seasons in the Truck circuit with Kyle Busch Motorsports, where he notched a total of five victories and is coming off a third-place result in last year’s championship standings. He also made his first three Xfinity starts in 2022 with Sam Hunt Racing, where he notched a career-best seventh-place result at Homestead-Miami Speedway in October.

The trio of Xfinity Series crew chiefs finalize Kaulig Racing’s full crew chief lineup that will also see Matt Swinderski and Trent Owens remaining as Cup Series crew chiefs for the team’s Nos. 16 and 31 entries, respectively. Justin Haley will be returning for a second full-time Cup stint at Kaulig in the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 while Allmendinger returns to full-time Cup competition for the first time since 2018 in the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

The 2023 season is set to mark Kaulig Racing’s eighth season in the Xfinity Series and third fielding three full-time entries. Through a combined 425 career starts, the organization has notched 19 victories, nine poles, 100 top-five results, 223 top-10 results and 2,145 laps led. Having placed at least one entry in the Xfinity Series Playoffs since its inception, the organization continues to pursue its first NASCAR championship.

To receive such a gift as being able to take our families to the race is a huge honor for all of us.”

“The destruction we saw just down the road from our speedway was devastating, the city of Griffin will be rebuilding for quite some time,” said AMS Executive Vice President and General Manager Brandon Hutchison. “The men and women employed by the city are working tirelessly to put the pieces back together. We want to acknowledge their hard work by giving something back to them: tickets to our upcoming NASCAR race and a day of fun and entertainment on us.”

IMS Becomes First Sport Venue To Receive Silver Responsible Sport Certification

INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023) – Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS), home to the largest single-day sporting event in the world, the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge, is the first sport facility to achieve organizational certification through the Council for Responsible Sport (Council).

Organizational certification became available for the first time in August 2021. The new standard is based on the recognition of the following core principles: power of sport, resolution of climate change, enablement of social justice and business of sport. IMS was the first to commit to the new framework, implementing year-round tracking of environmental and social impacts for the more than 300 events hosted at IMS annually.

Previously, in 2021, the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge was certified a responsible event.

The Council provides a structured approach for event hosts and organizers to measure, implement, validate and improve the social and environmental sustainability of their events and venues. Certification is earned by taking action spanning five categories: planning and communications, procurement, resource management, access and equity and community legacy. IMS ultimately accomplished 210 credits across these categories, earning silver level distinction as a Certified Organization.

“IMS’ commitment to embrace social and environmental realities and to implement a systematic approach to setting goals, adapting operations and measuring progress is outstanding,” said Rico Tesio, Council for Responsible Sport board chair. “Achieving Responsible Sport certification at an organizational level is not only a real milestone in the venue’s own storied history but also demonstrates leadership in motorsport and beyond and should be celebrated as vigorously as any checkered flag waved on the famous Yard of Bricks.”

Key partnerships and the implementation of new tracking technology helped IMS achieve this landmark goal. With the addition of the new organizational certification, the Council implemented ReScore, a system designed to help venues track their progress. WM Sustainability Services was critical in IMS’ sustainability journey, providing support by documenting a variety of resource management credits relating to emissions calculations, waste diversion and energy consumption.

“This is a monumental and impactful achievement for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, earned through a comprehensive commitment to innovation and hard work that safeguards our community and leads the way in our sport,” IMS President J. Douglas Boles said. “We learned a lot in 2021 when we received our event certification for the Indy 500. That process helped us get to this moment, where we are now tracking the impact of our events throughout the year and implementing systemic programs that yield results.

“We remain committed to becoming the most sustainable motorsport venue in the world, and we are grateful for the support and enthusiasm shown by our fans as we continue to identify new opportunities to encourage their participation in this journey.”

As part of the new certification, IMS implemented new standards and procedures. This includes the development of a diversity, equity and inclusion plan, along with a public commitment to the measurement and mitigation of environmental impacts. IMS expanded waste diversion efforts beyond the Indianapolis 500 to include events hosted at IMS year-round. Additionally, IMS adopted new procurement policies and protocols, eliminating single-use plastic and Styrofoam in office spaces, in addition to prioritizing purchases from women- and minority-owned businesses and businesses with sustainability related certifications.

About Indianapolis Motor Speedway

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the world’s largest spectator sporting facility, has been the worldwide leader in motorsports entertainment since opening in 1909. IMS will host the 107th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge – the world’s most prestigious auto race – on Sunday, May 28. That race is the climax of an exciting Month of May schedule for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES that also includes the GMR Grand Prix on Saturday, May 13 on the IMS road course. Three of the biggest racing series in North America each will race on the IMS road course during Brickyard Weekend on Aug. 11-13, featuring the Verizon 200 at the Brickyard for the NASCAR Cup Series, Gallagher Grand Prix for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard for the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Other events in 2023 at IMS will feature the NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series, the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America and IMSA. IMS, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and IMS Productions are owned by Penske Corporation, a global transportation, automotive and motorsports leader. To purchase tickets or for more information, please visit IMS.com.

About the Council for Responsible Sport

Since 2008, the Council’s vision has been of a world where responsibly produced sports events are the norm. Over the years, the Council has certified over 150 events, reaching over one million participants and countless spectators. The Indianapolis 500 joined our family of certified events in 2021, earning silver certification.

In fall 2021, the Council introduced a new Responsible Sport Standard for Organizations, and broadened its vision to include a world where organizations already producing responsible events could also be recognized for their ongoing and systemwide commitment to responsible planning & communications, procurement practices, resource management, access & equity, and community legacy. In early 2023, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway became the first-ever recipient of Organizational Certification by the Council, achieving silver certification after completing the rigorous year-long process that organizational certification entails.

Important Things To Consider When Renting A Luxury Car

Photo by Reinhart Julian on Unsplash

Whether you’re planning an important business venture, a well-deserved vacation, or any other kind of trip, there’s a good chance you’ll want to rent a vehicle to get around. While you can opt for pocket-friendly rental models, there are several reasons to consider a luxury car instead.

Luxury car rentals are available in a wide variety, and there’s no better way to travel in style and absolute comfort.

Nevertheless, there are a few essential things to consider when renting a luxury car.

Do Some Research Ahead Of Time

It’s crucial to know ahead of time which model you want to rent. You’ll also need to find a rental company that stocks the model you’re after and secure your booking in advance.

It’s also wise to ask for a model guarantee. Even though there are hardly any setbacks when booking a luxury car rental, it’s nice to have peace of mind that your exotic car will be delivered on time.

Consider The Size Of Your Baggage

Luxury and exotic car models sometimes don’t come with boast-worthy storage capacities. In some cases, these cars might have no storage space at all. So, it’s wise to consider your baggage size before choosing a rental. Otherwise, your trip might be a bit less comfortable than you’d want.

Keep An Eye On The Mileage

You’ll also want to know the estimated mileage during your trip so you can compare your estimation to the included mileage for the rental; this will help you avoid extra costs for extra mileage.

Understand Your Coverage

The deposit for a luxury rental will largely depend on the make and model. Even if the deposit is hefty, opting for rental car insurance is still wise. This insurance is often overlooked as an unnecessary extra cost, but additional coverage provides extra peace of mind when renting a luxury vehicle.

Instead of hoping nothing goes wrong during your trip, opt for insurance with the rental company. Moreover, it’s also essential to check your travel insurance policies to understand what you are covered for while enjoying your getaway.

Inspect The Vehicle

Once you’ve chosen your luxury car, you might be tempted to start driving your rental car right away. However, inspecting the vehicle for even the most minor imperfection is essential.

Even though luxury rentals are usually in top condition, rentals are turned around quickly, and inspectors can miss some small details. So, take your time to examine the vehicle. Photograph imperfections with time stamps to prevent being charged for pre-existing imperfections.

Moreover, if you do happen to damage a luxury rental, you’ll need to contact the rental company and return the car for damage assessment. Then you’ll need to settle payment for repairs and inquire about solutions for the remainder of your stay.

Renting a luxury vehicle can transform the way you travel. Whether on business or leisure, there’s no better way to heighten your comfort than with a luxury car. These rentals also come with an extra service layer, like avoiding airport taxes and vehicle delivery to your hotel or doorstep.
