Flying Lizard Motorsports Crowned LB Cup Champions at Lamborghini Super Trofeo Portugal Finale

PORTIMAO, Portugal. (November 8, 2022) – Flying Lizard Motorsports secured its 16th professional sports car racing championship in Portugal this weekend, celebrating the success of Slade Stewart, driver of the No. 14/114 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo2. The team participated in the two-season finale races for the IMSA-sanctioned Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America championship with drivers Stewart and Tom Tait, driver of the No. 64/164 Lamborghini. At the conclusion of the North American championship, the group went on to compete in the Lamborghini Grand Finals against the manufacturer’s European series.

“This has been an extremely successful inaugural season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series for us and we couldn’t have written a better finish,” said Team Owner Darren Law. “I have to thank all of the Flying Lizard crew, our drivers Slade Stewart and Tom Tait, and Lamborghini Newport Beach for making this season both successful and fun. We raced in many different series, and I am very impressed with what Lamborghini Squadra Corse has put together. To come away with the number of wins, podiums, and a championship in our debut season shows the level of commitment and quality of the Flying Lizard organization and we look forward to announcing plans for 2023 very soon.”

The flowing turns of Algarve International Circuit in Portimão, Portugal offered the perfect landscape for the season-concluding event. The track’s sweeping elevation through the hills of the property created exciting racing for the competitors. Though the circuit was new to the entire Flying Lizard team, the drivers and coaches of the organization used the two days of testing early in the week to learn the circuit, preparing for the final championship showdown.

Tait, driver of the No. 64/164 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo2 had the best drive of his career at Portimão. Regardless of the final results, his performance in the final four races was some of his strongest of the season. Tait climbed as high as second place, setting the fastest laps of his rookie season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series. He earned his fourth top-five finish of the year in round one in Portugal. He came into his own, gaining a new level of comfort in the car, continuing his season-long progression to the front of the Am class. His growth as a driver in his rookie season provides strong momentum to whatever may lay ahead in 2023.

With three wins, Stewart and the pink unicorn Lamborghini entered the weekend leading the driver points battle in the Super Trofeo North America series. His weekend got off to a rough start in the final practice when the car lost control, spinning off the track. Extensive damage caused the points leader to miss both qualifying sessions, starting the pair of races from the rear of the field with a not-so-pink Lamborghini. A failure in the right rear axle took the points leader out of the opening race, closing his points gap over the field. In race two, Stewart drove from last to second place, securing the 2022 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America LB Cup driver championship title. Equally impressive and challenging was the battle for the Grand Finals title. With a win in race one and a close battle until the final lap of race two, Slade missed the title for the Grand Finals by just a few points and finished with second place in the championship, an impressive run against the combined group of US and European drivers.

Together, Tait, Stewart, and the Lizards earned 16 top-five finishes in 14 races, earning five pole positions, eight podium finishes, and four wins, making it a successful debut season for the team in the North American one-make championship.

Now entering the off-season, Flying Lizard Motorsports continues to solidify plans for their 2023 championship endeavors.

Slade Stewart

The US Finals and Grand Final championship races in Portimão were absolutely amazing. We had our challenges and had to fight really hard but in the end, we came away with the LB Cup championship and finished in second place in the Grand Finals championship. This series is the pinnacle of spec series racing and Lamborghini pulled out all the stops to make it an event to remember. I have to thank Flying Lizard Motorsports for the immaculate support, Andy Lee for the amazing coaching all season, and my wife and children for being so supportive of my racing programs.

Tom Tait

It was an epic week here in Portimão, Portugal for the Lamborghini Grand Finals, essentially the world championship. We had a fantastic result in the North American races with a fifth and sixth place finish in classes and ran as high as second place in race one. I had a fantastic time. The weekend was epic overall. The European races were difficult, challenging, and fun. That was some of the hardest racing I’ve done in a long time. I truly enjoyed it. I got to know the car and had some great coaching from Corey Lewis. Flying Lizard Motorsports is the best team in the business. My teammate Slade Stewart won the North American LB Cup championship, giving Flying Lizard and Lamborghini Newport Beach a fantastic victory in their first year. I look forward to more years of this type of challenging racing.

Veloce Racing announces new-look driver line-up for Season 2 finale and 2023 campaign

8 November 2022, London: Veloce Racing have announced that 2021 Extreme E Champion Molly Taylor and former JBXE star Kevin Hansen will form the team’s new driver pairing for the Season 2 finale in Uruguay, continuing onto Season 3.

Veloce Racing’s new line-up boasts considerable Extreme E pedigree, with Taylor securing the inaugural title with Rosberg X Racing (RXR) last term and Hansen taking five podiums from his eight X Prix appearances so far.

The upcoming Uruguay Natural Energy X Prix in Punta del Este will not be the first time the duo have been paired together, having linked up at this year’s season-opener in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, for JBXE.

Taylor and Hansen replace outgoing drivers Lance Woolridge and Christine GZ.

For Taylor, it is a welcome return to the series after claiming the title with Rosberg X Racing (RXR) in the championship’s inaugural season. Alongside Johan Kristoffersson in Season 1, Taylor helped secure three victories for Nico Rosberg’s team and returns to Extreme E with all the knowledge that comes with winning the series.

In early 2022, as well as competing for JBXE at the Desert X Prix, Taylor became the first Australian woman to drive the gruelling Dakar rally and will take part in the event again in 2023.

Molly Taylor, Veloce Racing, said: ”I had an incredible year with Extreme E in 2021 and I believe wholeheartedly in what the competition represents, both with respect to its commitment to sustainability and to gender equality.

“Having had the benefit of a win in last year’s championship, it feels amazing to know that I’m going to be back in the Extreme E paddock. I think we are building a very special team with the combination of Veloce’s ambition and experience, as well as Kevin’s skill and commitment. We are setting our targets high and I’m looking forward to being back in the action.”

As a driver for JBXE, Hansen achieved an impressive run of four podiums from his four appearances in the inaugural Extreme E season.

Hansen took over from former Formula One World Champion Jenson Button to partner Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky, and the Swedish pairing finished third in the Season 1 standings. Third place finishes in Senegal, where Hansen made his debut in the championship, and Sardinia last year were topped by second place finishes at the Arctic and Jurassic X Prix, respectively.

Hansen carried this mantle into Extreme E Season 2, competing alongside Veloce Development Driver Hedda Hosås, who joined Button’s outfit in Sardinia. The Scandinavian duo secured third place in the first round of the NEOM Island X Prix double-header.

Hansen has also been a fixture in off-road racing for several years through his efforts in the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The Swede has secured event wins and multiple podiums and currently sits fourth in this year’s standings for HANSEN World RX Team. His highest FIA World Rallycross Championship standing was third in 2019, the season in which he secured his maiden victory in the series.

Kevin Hansen, Veloce Racing, said: “I am absolutely stoked to be joining Veloce Racing on a long-term deal starting in Uruguay.

“To join a team which is young, ambitious, modern in its ways and doing things that no other team does is fantastic for me. It’s a huge opportunity to continue in Extreme E for the next X Prix and for Season 3.

“The team has high ambitions, as do I and Molly. I am really happy to have her alongside me – we raced in Saudi Arabia together and had a great time. We work well as a pair and we’re looking forward to building a partnership between us and the whole team.”

Daniel Bailey, CEO and Co-Founder of Veloce Racing, added: “We’re delighted to welcome both Kevin and Molly to our Veloce family and we’re excited to see what the future holds for us together.

“The challenges of Extreme E are unique in the world of motorsport, and Veloce is continuously evolving to adapt to this fast-paced and innovative series. Next year promises to be the team’s biggest yet, but first we are looking to finish Season 2 on a real high.

“All of us here at Veloce Racing want to thank both Lance and Christine for their commitment and contributions to the team, and we wish them all the best going forward in their careers.”

Veloce Racing’s new driver line-up will take on the final race of the season in Punta del Este, Uruguay, later this month (26-27 Uruguay) as the team looks to end Extreme E Season 2 on a positive note.

About Extreme E:

Extreme E is a radical new racing series, which will see electric SUVs competing in extreme environments around the world which have already been damaged or affected by climate and environmental issues. The five-race global voyage highlights the impact of climate change and human interference in some of the world’s most remote locations and promotes the adoption of electric vehicles in the quest for a lower carbon future for the planet.

To minimise local impact, Extreme E races will not be open to spectators, with fans instead invited to follow the action through live TV broadcast, and on social media.

The St. Helena, a former passenger cargo ship, has undergone a multi-million Euro refit to minimise emissions and transform her into Extreme E’s operations hub. The ship will be used to transport the championship’s freight and infrastructure, including vehicles, to the nearest port, minimising Extreme E’s footprint, as well as being used to facilitate scientific research through its on-board laboratory.

Extreme E is also pioneering hydrogen fuel cell technology which will enable its race fleet to be charged using zero emission energy. This innovative solution from AFC Energy uses water and sun to generate hydrogen power. Not only will this process emit no greenhouse emissions, its only by-product will be water, which will be utilised elsewhere on-site.

Clazzio Seat Cover Benefits For Prius Cars

Photo by Sven D on Unsplash

Seat covers are an essential accessory for any car. Without a seat cover, you may be putting your car seats at a risk. The engine is the most important part of a car. Nonetheless, an engine can’t be seen, unlike seats. Seats may not contribute to the performance of your car, but it surely has an intangible effect on the performance.

The interior of your car is occupied majorly by seats. Having unattractive seats can affect your mood and driving experience. You do not want to go out on a date with such boring and faded seats. Instead, you want eye-catching and appealing seats so as to create a good first impression.

Should I Buy New Seats if my current seats don’t look good?

It depends on you. We cannot out rule that option. However, for most of us, buying new seats would go way beyond our budget. We recommend that you opt for seat covers. Clazzio produces some of the best seat covers. Nowadays, seat covers are produced in different colors with different materials. It not only protects your existing seats but also enhances the interior of your car.

Clazzio Seat Covers

As mentioned earlier, Clazzio is one of the best leather seat covers brands. It focuses on customer satisfaction by delivering products of the highest quality.

Benefits of Clazzio Seat Cover for Prius

Durability:  Clazzio seat covers last longer than other brands. This is because of the material that they use. These seat covers come with a 3-year or one warranty period depending on the type of material you choose.

Leather: Leather seat covers by Clazzio are considered as a bargain. These seats are made up of 100% pure leather unlike some brands that claim to use leather but they actually use a blend of leather and cheap material. Leather seat covers will give your Prius the royal look it needs. If you are looking to upgrade your Prius without wanting to spend a lot, leather seat covers are the way to go about it.

Color: Clazzio seat covers come in various colors. Depending on the interior of your Prius, you can choose any color that compliments the interior. The options are endless. One can get customized seat covers as well. You simply need to head to the website and drop an email. Clazzio representatives will get back to you.

Fitting: The engineers at Clazzio are very particular with fitting. They take exact measurements of the dimensions of the seats in different cars. As different cars have different setups and dimensions, Clazzio offers seat covers dedicated exclusively to your car model. For instance, you will find five different sets of seat covers for Prius. You simply need to select the right car model online and you shall get tailor-made seat covers.

Easy installation: The installation process is very easy and simple to follow. It would take you 2 to 3 hours to get done with everything. Since the process is a DIY, you can save a few dollars as you would not have to seek professional help. Seat covers from other brands require professional help and the process is lengthy. At times, it could take up to 2 days. With Clazzio, you have to simply follow the instructions, and Voila! You are done.

Easy to wash: As we know that Clazzio seat covers take only 2 to 3 hours to install, you can wash these covers anytime you like. Further, Clazzio leather seat covers are less porous. This is beneficial for those who have pets and kids. The next time your kid drops his orange juice on the seat, do not panic. Just wipe the liquid off of the seat.

Fun Facts About Lamborghini

Photo by Dylan Pirozek on Unsplash

Are you considering a Lamborghini lease? If so, it might be a good idea to know a few things about the brand – especially if this is your first time. Here are a few fun facts for you to think about while heading over to the dealership.

It’s Named After Ferrucio Lamborghini

He was the founder of the brand, which came into existence in 1963. Lamborghini was also a veteran, having served in the Italian Air Force as a mechanic. This is where he got his love for cars.

The First Models Were Not Cars, Though

It’s hard to imagine this company making anything other than sleek cars that grab people’s attention when passing by. They made tractors, first. Yes, you read that correctly.

He built the tractor out of discarded military vehicles and it proved popular. There is a reason why there are no Lamborghini tractors zipping around though. That reason was a man named Enzo Ferrari.

The Lamborghini Car Was Created Due to a Challenge

Yes, it was because of an argument between the Ferrari founder and Lamborghini about the Ferrari car’s clutch. At the time, Lamborghini was content to be in the agricultural business. That changed when the Ferrari founder couldn’t make a clutch good enough.

Lamborghini decided to make his own sports car to show what a car with a good clutch was capable of. This was a big risk, since he was mainly known as a tractor maker. It all worked out for him, though.

The First Lamborghini Shown At An Auto Show Had No Engine

Lamborghini was determined to show his new car at the 1963 Turin Auto Show. That meant that there was an incredibly tight window for them to design and build the car model. He had to leave out certain things … like an engine, since the one he had made didn’t fit.

He took it to the show and there were bricks underneath the hood. It was still enough to get the ball rolling and get people interested in his sports cars.

Another fact was that he initially balked at having a racing team, seeing the sport as a waste of time and gas. That changed later, but at first, he didn’t join Ferrari and Maserati on the racetracks.

The models were named after bulls, like Miura. Lamborghini was always a fan of bullfighting.

These are just a few facts that you can tell people about when driving around in your leased car. Enjoy.

Photo by Peter Broomfield on Unsplash

A car alarm is an electronic device installed under the seat, center console, or dash near the steering column. By means of light, sound, or both, a car alarm signals unauthorized access to a vehicle, preventing the theft of the vehicle or personal belongings within the vehicle. However, with the change with technology, you may be wondering whether car alarm systems are still reliable.

Below, we discuss how reliable car alarm systems are and explain how they can ensure the safety of your vehicle.

  1. Theft Prevention

When a car alarm Santa Monica goes off, most car owners rush to where they parked their cars to check if it is their car that has been tampered with or see if a break-in is happening.

Car thieves know that if an alarm goes off, everyone’s attention will be on them. As such, they avoid vehicles with obvious signs of alarm systems.

When you install a car alarm system, you deter thieves even before the alarm sounds

  1. Protect Your Belongings

If you think that car theft is an inconvenience that can never happen to you, then you are mistaken.

Your car can still be a target of theft because it contains items that are appealing to thieves, including;

  • Tailgates
  • Batteries
  • GPS units
  • Rims and tires
  • Third-row seats
  • Stereo systems
  • License plates/tags
  • Catalytic converters

As mentioned above, car alarm Santa Monica attracts attention. So, the valuables you have in your vehicle are not usually worth getting caught over.

  1. Tracking Abilities

Most car alarm systems have tracking devices that enable law enforcement to track your car if it gets stolen. You can connect your tracking program to your phone and enable the “kill command,” which freezes your car, bringing it to a stop.

The thief might realize what has happened and run away, but your vehicle will live to see another day.

  1. Immobilizing Features

Some thieves are determined to accomplish their mission, even if this means ignoring a blaring car alarm.

A car alarm Santa Monica comes with a car immobilizer system that prevents your car from starting once the alarm is activated. A car immobilizer renders the standard hot-wiring method useless, and even if a thief gains access to your car, they cannot drive away with it.

Wrap Up

Do not wait for your car to be broken into or stolen. Invest in a car alarm system today and enjoy the reliability and enhanced security it has to offer.

“Just super proud of this race team, super proud of everybody on it, not just the 22 team but everybody that puts a bunch of effort into this, said Logano after the race. “You think of everyone at Team Penske, everyone at Roush Yates, everyone at Shell and Pennzoil and Ford and everybody that really supports us and not just them but their families.

Logano, who began his career in 2009 as the NCS “Rookie of the Year is clearly building a Hall of Fame resume in NASCAR’s top division. This was Logano and the Shell-Pennzoil race team’s fifth time qualifying for the “Championship 4” since joining Team Penske in 2013 (2014, ’16, ’18, ’20, ’22). The 2022 title is Logano’s second after earning his first career NCS title following the 2018 season and the first for Shell and Pennzoil as primary sponsors.

“What an honor to a part of this moment in racing history. This was a fantastic way to cap off an outstanding season, and we are extremely proud of Joey, Roger Penske and the entire team,” said Steve Reindl, president, Shell Lubricants North America. “We are grateful to be a part of a winning tradition at Team Penske, where Shell and Pennzoil play a critical role in the team’s performance. NASCAR Top-10 Power Rankings: Phoenix

Photo by David Myers for SpeedwayMedia.com.

Note: The quotes in this article are fictional.

1. Joey Logano: Logano started on the pole at Phoenix and dominated on his way to the Cup championship, the second of his career.

“I’m the champion,” Logano said. “Or, you can just call me driver ‘1A.’ All the other championship-round drivers? They are not ‘1A.’ And judging by their championship aspirations, they were also not ‘2B.'”

2. Ross Chastain: Chastain started 25th and finished third at Phoenix, just coming up short as Joey Logano won the race and championship.

“I still consider this season a success,” Chastain said. “Maybe I didn’t win the title, but the word ‘Chastaining’ will forever be in the racing lexicon.”

3. Ryan Blaney: Blaney led 109 laps and finished second at Phoenix, completing the 2022 season without a win.

“I honestly don’t know how to explain to someone why we couldn’t manage a single win,” Blaney said. “I mean, I could try, but my feeling is it would be a no-win situation.”

4. Denny Hamlin: Hamlin finished eighth at Phoenix, posting his 16th top 10 of the season.

“It was weird for me not racing for the championship,” Hamlin said. “It wasn’t weird for me not winning the championship.”

5. William Byron: Byron finished sixth at Phoenix.

“I’m pleased with my finish,” Byron said. “No, it’s not a win, but it is a bit of momentum heading into next season. And I’m sure we could maintain that momentum if the Daytona 500 was tomorrow, and not three months from now.”

6. Chase Elliott: Elliott’s championship hopes were shattered when he spun on a final stage restart, with a little help from Ross Chastain. Elliott fell a lap down and never recovered, finishing 28th.

“I’m devastated,” Elliott said. “But I’m not looking for anyone’s sympathy or charity. And speaking of ‘charity,’ Chastain’s ‘helped’ a lot of people this season.”

7. Kevin Harvick: Harvick finished fifth at Phoenix.

“Congratulations to Joey Logano,” Harvick said. “And congratulations to the Xfinity and Truck champs, Ty Gibbs and Zane Smith, respectively. I hear Gibbs might be the next big thing in the Cup series. And by ‘thing,’ I mean ‘douchebag.'”

8. Christopher Bell: Bell suffered a horrible pit stop with less than 35 laps to go, which cost him several spots to Joey Logano and Ross Chastain. Bell wasn’t able to make his way to the front and finished a disappointing 10th.

“My pit crew member got his finger stuck between the nut and the spindle,” Bell said. “That has to be incredibly painful. Still, I’m not sure who it hurt worse, me or him?”

9. Kyle Larson: Larson finished ninth at Phoenix.

“Tough break for my Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott,” Larson said. “I’m sure it was unexpected when contact with Ross Chastain sent Chase for a spin. Of course, anytime Chase gets spun, it’s unexpected unless it’s me doing it. He’s come to expect that.”

10. Chase Briscoe: Briscoe came home fourth at Phoenix, registering his sixth top-five of the season.

“Seeing Joey Logano win the championship makes me hungry to work harder for a championship I can call my own,” Briscoe said. “Tony Stewart also said seeing Logano made him hungry, mostly because Joey’s nickname is ‘Sliced Bread.’ Tony also wished there was a driver nicknamed ‘Sandwich Meat.'”

FactoryONE Sherco Results from Round Five of EnduroCross

Cooper Abbott on His Hot Lap - Photo courtesy of Diahann Tanke

Nampa, ID – It was mixed emotions for team FactoryONE Sherco in front of a sold-out crowd at the Ford Idaho Center. Cooper Abbott had consistent motos but came up just short of his first overall podium. Louise Forsley had to sit out the round due to illness. Cody Webb was a magnet for pileups and incidents

The raucous crowd was provided with a great show over the course of the evening. The hot lap qualification provided the fans with jaw-dropping moments from the start. Each successive rider seemed to open up a new line that wasn’t done during the afternoon practice sessions. One such moment was when Cody Webb jumped the entire “balance beam gulch” during his qualification run. He was the only one to do so and the appreciation from the audience was evident. This move helped him secure the third-fastest time. Cooper Abbott had a few bobbles to go along with some spectacular moments during his hot lap. He finished with the seventh gate pick for moto number one.

The FactoryONE Sherco duo were among a tight group of riders at the end of the longest start straight to date in moto one. It was Colton Haaker with the hole-shot, followed by Taddy Balzusiak, Cody Webb, Jonny Walker, and Cooper Abbott. It was lap two when things started to unravel for Webb. Blazusiak and Webb were battling for position when a log obstacle took down the Polish rider. Webb had nowhere to go as he was right on his rear wheel and ended up landing on Blazusiak in a very precarious manner. This allowed Abbott into the third spot, but the downed pair were now in last and second to last. While Webb was making his way through back markers, a similar situation occurred with Anthony Johnson crashing just in front of Webb which brought down the three-time champ for a second time. Abbott meanwhile was clicking off consistent laps and finished the moto on the podium in third. Webb finished thirteenth after the double misfortune during the moto.

On what is a rare instance, moto two would have Cody Webb on the front row for the inverted start with Abbott having the 3rd last pick on the back row. As the gate dropped, it was Blazusiak with the hole-shot, followed by Spenser Wilton, Gus Riorden, and Cody Webb. The leaders were battling for position coming out of the rock garden and into the “balance beam gulch,” when Webb was involved in yet another frightful moment. As the riders come out of the gulch, they need to set themselves up for a 180-degree right-hand turn. As Webb was entering the turn, Branden Petrite had launched himself off of a log double jump and his front wheel landed between Webb’s shoulder blades rolling down his back and to his bike. While shaken, it wasn’t enough to knock Webb off of his Sherco. Behind them, Cooper Abbott had gotten pinched in at the start and was in the thirteenth at the first corner. He would again ride very consistent laps and pass riders up to the eighth position where he would finish the moto. Cody Webb finished p5, citing the near takeout as being in his head.

In moto three, Cody Webb would rocket out of the gate for his first hole-shot of the year on his SEF 300 Factory. He was followed by Blazusiak, Ryder Leblond, Colton Haaker, and a host of other riders in tow. This wasn’t great news for Abbott as he had a chance at his first podium of the year if he was to finish ahead of Leblond and in a top-six placement in the moto. He changed that after the first tire stack when he took an inside line and moved up to p2 behind Webb. As we said in the open, it was mixed emotions however as back-to-back mistakes allowed Haaker and Walker past with Leblond right on the rear wheel of Abbott. Cooper was able to hold him off for a few laps but in the end, he had to settle for p6 for the moto and p4 for the overall. Cody Webb finished the moto in p3 and p6 overall. Webb is still in a fight for the championship podium despite finishing last in round one due to some misfortune.

“I think I had a crash magnet on or something,” said a confused Cody Webb. “That was a really tough night. I had myself set up for success but riders kept crashing in front of me, but that is racing. Honestly, I am just happy to walk away uninjured, especially after (Branden) Petrie used me as a landing ramp in moto two. I am still in the hunt for a season podium despite this round and the opening round, I am going to give it my all in Reno,” concluded Webb.

“I had a great moto one,” said Cooper Abbott. “I was able to click off smooth laps and that was key to having a great race. The guys were riding so fast, it was easy to get out of shape pushing that kind of pace. I am so close to that overall podium spot, I just need to clean up my second motos where I am typically starting on the back row with the inverted start. I am gunning for that podium at the final round in Reno,” concluded Abbott.

Unfortunately for Louise Forsley, illness got the better of her and she was unable to race round five despite being in a very tight battle for the championship. On a positive note, 18-year-old Inside Enduro Sherco’s Hallie Marks was able to secure her first women’s pro podium.

“I have been battling something since the Prescott round, ” said Louise Forsley. “it is really kicking my butt so we decided it was in my best interest to sit this one out despite being so close in championship points,” concluded Forsley.

Buescher Finishes 21st in Finale at Phoenix

No. 17 Team Rebounds in Final Race of 2022 Season

AVONDALE, Ariz. (Nov. 6, 2022) – Chris Buescher drove his Fastenal Ford Mustang to a 21st-place finish in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series finale Sunday at Phoenix Raceway.

Buescher fired off 19th to begin the afternoon of 312 laps, going on to finish the quick first stage of 60 laps in 23rd. He fired off 23rd for stage two before a yellow was shown just a few laps into the run. During the caution in his scheduled pit stop, the RFK tire carrier was struck by the No. 99 car, resulting in a second trip to pit road during the yellow while the team assessed the pit personnel situation.

Buescher went on to finish the stage in 27th, and after going a lap down to the leaders, the team fought back for Buescher to wave around and regain the lead lap position. He ultimately picked off multiple positions in the closing laps to earn the 21st-place finish.
