CONCORD, N.C. (June 28, 2022) – Tuesday was an “awfully” good night for racing and fun at Cook Out Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where Landen Lewis (Boston Reid & Co. Pro division) and Olivia Murray (Outlaws) were among the drivers claiming victory during Round 4’s white-knuckled excitement.

Back-to-back Wins for Lewis

Landen Lewis powered his Boston Reid & Co. Pro division hot rod to back-to-back wins with a triumphant Round 4 run. The 25-lap feature seemed to be well in hand for Alex McCollum, who was dominant early, until a caution on Lap 13 brought the field back together.

On the ensuing restart, Lewis squeezed his way into the lead taking the inside line away from McCollum and charging ahead of the pack. Parker Eatmon followed in his No. 4 machine to take the second place spot.

“This means a lot,” Lewis said. “It took me four years to get where we’re standing. Last week we finally won. (Team owner) Joe (Ryan Osborne) told me, when you win it once, it’s easier to get back again. He has right.”

Murray Manhandles Outlaw Competion

In the Bandolero Outlaw division, it was ladies night at America’s Home for Racing as Olivia Murray took home her first Cook Out Summer Shootout win of the 2022 season after dominating the 20-car field in a 20-lap feature. Despite three cautions that collected a total of 12 cars, Murray held off some fierce competition from Killian McMann and Phoenyx Kimball, among others.

In the end, however, no one had the speed to catch Murray, who cruised to victory ahead of Hunter Morgan and Kaeden Ballos.

“I just had to make sure I hit all my marks; The car felt so good,” Murray said after the win. “I’ve got to thank my sponsors – and my parents. Everybody here’s been able to help me do what I do.”

Cook Out Summer Shootout continues with Round 5 on Tuesday, July 5. “Red, White and Brew Night” at America’s Home for Racing features a full slate of Legend Car and Bandolero action, post-race autograph session and a patriotic fireworks display. All first responders get in FREE with a valid ID.

Travel Through Europe with an Electric Car

Photo by CHUTTERSNAP on Unsplash

Can you travel around Europe with an electric car? Of course! Whether taking a family holiday or spending the break with your friends, traveling in your electric car will be your new go-to.

Driving an electric car abroad is much like using a conventional vehicle. You’ll still need a license and car insurance that’s up to date before getting on the road. You’ll need to plan the routes you’ll take and see if there are exciting places to stop. However, there’re some unique reasons why you may want to consider an electric option for your next trip around Europe.

Why Travel by Electric Car instead of a Conventional Vehicle?

Driving an electric vehicle has plenty of benefits:

– Eco-friendly;

– Lower fuel costs;

– Easier to learn and use;

– Lower upkeep costs.

Out of all the pros we’ve listed, the electric car’s low fuel costs are its main selling point. In most parts of Europe, the cost of charging your vehicle at the charging stations per kilometer is lower than the cost of petrol you would use for the same distance.

Many newer models keep the customer in mind and are easy to use. The car industry has also undergone significant updates, making electric cars more efficient while keeping fuel, maintenance, and overall costs low.

Are There Concerns to Keep in Mind?

When buying a used vehicle, you should always do a car history check to verify if the vehicle has outstanding finance, is written off, or is reported stolen.

Like most electronics you may own, you’ll need to pay attention to how quickly it takes to charge the battery.

– Electric cars have a relatively long charge time.

– More planning is necessary.

– Initial costs are higher.

An electric car will take much longer to reach full battery than your phone, and you can’t plug the charger into a regular socket. You’ll need to spend more time looking up charging stations and planning your stops.

Since electric vehicles are newer to the market, they’re still a little more expensive to buy than conventional cars. However, over time, lower running costs may compensate for the initial outlay.

Where Can I get an Electric Car?

You don’t need to travel to a particular dealer to get an electric vehicle. Most local car dealerships have a variety of EVs. If you’re worried about initial costs, looking into car finance options may be a good option. This is an easy way to get the best car within your price range. You can even use an online HP & PCP finance calculator to look into how much you want to borrow and how long payments will go on.

Now that you have an electric car, is there anything else to keep in mind?

Tip 1. Look up charging stations

Like the UK, there’s a growing network of charging stations popping up across Europe. No matter where you’re driving to, there’ll be charging station options along the way – you need to look them up and plan to stop there before you need a full charge. That also means you will need to plan your routes early. It’s a good thing we live in a technological age and can quickly look up charging stations (provided there’s internet available).

Some of the better apps include:

– Going Electric;

– LEMnet;

– Charge Map;

– Plugshare;

– EV Charging map;

– Fastned;

– MOOVILITY;

– CHAdeMO-map;

– and the classic Google Maps.

Tip 2: Look up the charging systems

If you’re driving within the same country, you can use the same charge card and cable each time you charge. If you’re going through a few countries, you’ll need to apply for a new charge card for each place – this may take a few days to process, so plan ahead.

Tip 3. Look up local rules

Much like Tip 2, get familiar with local driving, charging, and parking rules. For example, if you’re driving from the UK to France, you need to know they drive on the right side of the road once you leave the Eurotunnel.

Other than that, you may come across restaurants or lodgings that offer free charging while you stay there – this too can continue to keep your trip cost low.

Tip 4. Get familiar with your car

Before beginning your adventure, look up your car’s driving range. Most electric vehicles fall within the 250-300 kilometers range, provided you’re not speeding the entire time. If you want to limit charging stops, you can plan to drive slower and keep to under 90 km/hr.

Tip 5. Look up the weather

Whether you’re driving a conventional car or an electric option, this is an excellent tip to ensure you and your passengers are as safe as possible on the road. However, much like conventional cars, your car may burn more fuel if the weather goes too far in one direction (very hot or cold).

Tip 6. Be flexible

You’re most likely traveling through Europe because you’re on holiday. Enjoy the trip, not just the destination (provided you don’t need to be at the destination by a particular time).

If charging is taking a while, relax! You can read a book or explore your surroundings – when is the next time you’ll get to stop by the area? Drivers of conventional cars are highly encouraged to take regular stops as well, and they’re not missing out by taking a short break.

Traveling through a different country can come with its challenges but planning a trip with an electric car doesn’t need to be complicated.

The Most Important Factors in Choosing an Online Casino

Millions of individuals worldwide are playing their preferred casino games on the global gambling network. The number of online casinos and gaming platforms daily is growing exponentially as new sites join online casino daily. Online casinos are no less lucrative, with thousands of different operating locations.

Choosing the right online casino can be just as tricky as you think. With world-class online gambling, there is a lot of difference between casinos that customers are not forced to deal with. When choosing an online casino, though, the risks associated with rogue online casinos are what occur.

Online gambling is growing and at a value of over $92.9 billion in 2023. This growth is driven by online gambling because it’s accessible to players 24 hours a day. The problem with the size of this market is that it has allowed for scammers looking to prey on unknowing and unsuspecting people.

Concerning the market, there is always a good chance of gambling tourism. Players often have an abundance of options with reputable casino houses. On the other hand, as every rose has its thorn, many casinos are ‘not legit’ or offer sub-par gambling experiences. You can find the best & trustworthy online casinos by clicking here

To stay safe from scams, you should be sure to look for an ethical online casino and consider these factors when choosing one.

Decide on what you need.

Before deciding which site to gamble with, you must know what you trust and value. There is no one-size-fits-all approach or optimum solution that exists for all players.

Some players feel the most satisfied with playing casino games at an online casino, while other people enjoy playing any games available. Some players are more interested in receiving gifts from the provider, while others don’t care about rewards. Other gamblers enjoy playing for fun or to top up their funds, depending on some of their personality traits.

First, you should have a clear idea in your mind of what you’re looking for and your individual needs. After you decide on what you are looking for in an online casino, it’s time to find that kind of experience in an online casino.

How it got its reputation and mindset

One of the best factors we should consider before choosing an online casino is the company’s reputation. A good reputation is also a vital sign that quality and reliability are guaranteed in online casinos.

The online gambling experts from Gameday Casino explain that casinos can inform you of their legitimacy by revealing the other online casino’s reputations. It will tell you what to expect if they have good reviews and reward gamblers appropriately.

To get the information you need, you need to do some research. Here are a few tips.

Is this online casino safe to play with?

How To Find A Quality and Trustworthy Online Casino

If a popular online casino was hacked, research about that incident. If you research and find nothing fishy about the online casino, it is a good sign that the provider is reliable like Casinority Denmark, and you’ll get quality gambling experiences.

The website standard

It would be best if you kept in mind when choosing an online casino that the website plays a significant role. If the site’s quality is not high, you’re likely to have a poor experience on the site.

Online gambling websites are built to enhance your online gaming experience. Some of these features include:

  • site fasteners
  • obstructiveness
  • reliability
  • The State of Web Design
  • A simple pattern
  • content ranking
  • convenience
  • standard content
  • visibility

Things like how fast the website loads and how it looks will affect the experience you have during your gambling activities. Are you in the market for a fast-loading, aesthetically appealing online casino? Is someone using their mobile device to gamble? If so, this type of website is worth considering.

Various Casino Games

When deciding which online casino to choose, you must consider the website’s strategy for many different types of players.

If you want to add a little something different to your casino experience, find an online casino that gives you the option to try out more games. If you feel satisfied with one game and don’t want more variety for fun, winning odds, or simply running out of things to do quickly, choose an online casino with a wide selection of games.

Dividends and awards

An important factor in deciding where to gamble online is the amount of money you can deposit and other online bonuses. Some casinos offer generous welcome bonuses with extra match deposits that boast two or more; others give out loads of free spins. Some casinos also provide new arrivals with no deposit bonuses in the form of free cash and spins.

Whether you get a casino bonus or a free game for your favorite game, always visit the terms and conditions on their website to avoid unpleasant surprises. The terms and conditions section provides critical information, such as wagering requirements, the validity of certain funds, and other requirements, so you must review them carefully. Besides that, also pay attention to what payment options are available and how quickly withdrawals can be made. You want your preferred method to work with your chosen casino, so they’re comfortable with depositing and withdrawing funds through the option you choose.

Prepayments and draw-out options

Ensure that the casino has a smooth process for deposits and withdrawals. You should ask yourself if the casino provides seamless service to its players, a reliable server, and peace of mind through security protections in place.

It’s essential to research the steps associated with these two processes and the terms of service to make sure they suit your expectations.

Clients stand up options

Because you’re playing at one of the top online casinos in widespread use, there are always certain things that could be problematic. That said, most providers offer various customer support options to help address any issues you have should they come up.

You should also explore the customer service quality. When contacting customer support, ask a question or two and watch how fast you answer. And how helpful and reliable they are when answering your question.

Buescher on racing at Road America:
“I like road racing in general, it breaks up our schedule nicely. I got an ARCA win at Road America several years back and it’s been a really neat race track. It has good rhythm and is somewhat of a cross of Sonoma and some of these others that have higher-speed areas, but slower tempo areas, as well. It’s a really fun track and I can’t wait to get there and see if we can replicate some of our recent road racing experience in the Fastenal Ford.”

Buescher lost a wheel late in Sunday’s race from Nashville, ultimately finishing 30th in a race that featured three-plus hours in weather delays.

Sean Creech Motorsport to carry US and Canadian colors at CTMP

The LMP3 team hopes to put a disappointing race last weekend behind them as they return to Canada for the first time in four years – carrying a Maple Leaf-inspired livery in tribute

BOWMANVILLE, Ont. (28 June, 2022) – Sean Creech Motorsport (SCM) will carry a combination American/Canadian livery this weekend in tribute to its Canadian fans, as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park for Sunday’s Chevrolet Grand Prix (3:00 p.m., NBC).

Creech has competed in sports car racing for over 30 years, but it’s been three years since the team – and the series – last traveled north of the border. This year, veteran duo João Barbosa and Lance Willsey are behind the wheel, ready to contend for another LMP3 podium finish in their No. 33 SCM Exelixis/Focal One/Alta Equipment Ligier JS P320.

The team has long carried a Canadian tribute on its LMP3 cars when competing in Canada, incorporating the maple leaf into its stars-and-stripes motif. This year will be no exception, with the nose of the car sporting both the American stars and the maple leaf, while the engine cover displays a stylized Canadian flag – both in tribute to the passion of the Canadian fans.

The young Creech first competed at CTMP (then called Mosport) after returning from several years in Europe working with Dauer Racing to work for Jim Busby Racing, Kevin Doran Racing, and Mike Colucci Racing. Fast forward to 2018 when Creech and his team managed the Extreme Speed Motorsports program in IMSA Prototype Challenge and brought home two podiums at CTMP (with Kris Wright and Yann Clairay finishing second, and Max Hanratty and Garett Grist finishing third). Wright would go on to capture the series championship, with Hanratty third in the final standings.

Now, Creech returns to CTMP with the fourth-place team in the LMP3 class, on the heels of a sixth-place finish in last weekend’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen International. With an early incident in that race putting them down in the standings, the team looks to rebound at a track that holds a special place in the hearts of the team.

“This place has some serious history,” said Creech. “Can-Am, Formula One, GTP. We first ran here back in the early 90s so I’ve been here many times over the years. This is such a fast track, with a lot of elevation change, so you have to have a lot of grip in the car, both mechanical and aero. In that way, the back-to-back races have some similarities. We’ll start from scratch at CTMP because everything about the car is different than it was the last time we were here – different chassis, different tires. But we have a good baseline from Watkins Glen.”

Barbosa, a two-time WeatherTech series champion, has a podium in six races at CTMP and looks forward to testing the Ligier’s pace on the notoriously quick 2.459-mile circuit, located just over an hour from Toronto.

“CTMP is an old-school, very fast track,” said Barbosa. “We’re looking forward to finally getting back there, it’s going to be fun. I’ve had some good races in the past, though not always the best finishes. But it’s going to be fun with these cars!”

Willsey has raced at CTMP in several series and ran with Creech in the IMSA Prototype Challenge in 2018 and 2019. He will also contest the IPC race Sunday morning (alongside Red Deer, Alberta’s Parker Thompson, who is currently contending for the Porsche Carrera Cup North America championship title). Ask Willsey about returning to Canada and the first thing he thinks of is the enthusiasm of the motorsports fans who frequent the track.

“The environment at CTMP is one of my favorites,” said Willsey. “The fans are among the most knowledgeable and passionate fans of any track we go to. I’m really looking forward to it, especially with our special livery for this weekend. Canada will always be a very special place to and for me. It is where my mothers family settled and built their lives after fleeing the Nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia. Every visit is quite special for me.

“The track is a significant paradox,” Willsey continued. “It became one of my favorite tracks in just a small number of laps – it’s high-speed, high-commitment, which made it incredibly enjoyable to drive. But much like other tracks, there’s so much local knowledge in regard to finding the grip on track and car placement. I need to figure out some of the nuances, but the track is spectacular.

The team would like to thank partners Alta Equipment Company and Focal One for their continued support.

Stoner Car Care Colors Carried by iRacing

Premier online racing simulation platform utilizes iconic Stoner Car Care and Invisible Glass liveries on new Aston Martin Vantage GT4s in its latest build cycle

ORLANDO, Fla. (28 June 2022) – Stoner Car Care Racing fielded by Automatic Racing team’s two Aston Martin Vantage GT4s – in Stoner Car Care and Invisible Glass colors – joined the ranks of sports cars immortalized through online gaming, as the two cars were made available on iRacing recently.

The latest build cycle for the extremely popular racing simulation platform brought a plethora of new tracks and cars to the program, including the No. 09 Stoner Car Care Aston Martin Vantage GT4 and the No. 99 Invisible Glass Aston Martin Vantage GT4, both from the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 has been featured on iRacing since 2014 but this marks the debut for the GT4 version. With over 200,000 subscribers on the platform, the liveries are built-in as an option for those downloading the capable new GT4 spec machine to their virtual garages.

The Aston Martin Vantage GT4 first broke cover in IMSA during the 2019 season, and has had a strong competitive presence in the Michelin Pilot Challenge paddock ever since.

During the summer of 2020, a team of photographers and sound engineers from iRacing descended on the Automatic Racing shop on the north side of Orlando. Painstaking efforts ensued to ensure that the sound and picture quality of the two Aston Martins was as realistic as possible. The iRacing crew returned to the shop several times through the summer to make sure they had the cars photographed in every possible configuration, down to the most minute detail.

“It was definitely a process, all the legwork they did to nail it down properly,” said Automatic Racing team manager David Russell. “They took a lot of photos from many different angles, all around the car – we put it up on the lift so they could film under the car, as well as under the hood. They did photos of the wheels, took the tires off and got photos of the suspension. Then of course, they recorded a good deal of engine sound and exhaust sound so they could get that properly dialed in. You can really hear that on the game – the shifts, everything. The sound is spot on.”

For driver Rob Ecklin, Jr., it’s a positive on two levels – both as driver of the No. 09 Aston Martin and as the President of Stoner Car Care. Ecklin, like other GT4 racers, has long used a GT3 car that had somewhat similar handling characteristics to the Aston Martin GT4 when working on pre-race prep, so the fact that there are now several GT4s available is a huge bonus – especially when two of them are your company’s own branded cars.

“This is so special,” said Ecklin, from Lancaster, Pa. “From a business standpoint, there are so many people on iRacing which means many new eyeballs on our products so this is great exposure. The amount of detail is amazing: it’s an exact duplicate. It’s so realistic that people have asked if I was driving the car in the video clip iRacing put out when they announced the cars! It’s quite different to be driving my car in a sim format but once I changed brake bias and traction control settings, the times I got to on the Sebring sim were very close to the times I did on the race weekend. So that’s a great tool going forward. I’m very thankful to iRacing for including us and to Automatic Racing for seeing it through.”

The offering underscores iRacing’s long-running relationship with IMSA. The ground-breaking sim offers every track on the IMSA schedule, with scores of options to utilize IMSA equipment through a wide range of classes and categories. But no matter what model users select, the fidelity is a key component.

“Everyone on our end who has driven the car on iRacing have all commented about how close it is to the real deal, from looks to handling,” said Russell. “I’m getting all kinds of emails and texts from people all over the world who are really impressed. It’s very cool, to see Stoner Car Care represented on iRacing.”

Next up for the non-virtual Stoner Car Care Racing Team will be the FCP Euro Northest Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park, July 16th.

Mazda MX-5 Cup Looks to Shine in NASCAR Spotlight at Road America

SRO VIR 2022

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (June 28, 2022) – The engines have barely cooled from Rounds Seven and Eight of the Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires, but teams are already en route to Rounds Nine and Ten at Road America, in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The stage is set for an extraordinary event as the series shares the weekend with the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series for the first time in its history, and NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman is slated to take part in both races.

Jared Thomas’ (No. 96 JTR Motorsports Engineering) streak of winning at each track so far this season came to an end at Watkins Glen International. Still, he was able to finish on the podium in Race Two and extend his lead in the championship to 415 over Selin Rollan (No. 87 Hixon Motor Sports). A mechanical DNF for Rollan in Race One could prove to be a pivotal moment in the 2022 Championship.

Both drivers are experienced at Road America and are wise to the way the ever-important draft works around the 4.048-mile road course. Nearly every Mazda MX-5 Cup race at Road America comes down to a drafting battle out of Turn 14 on the final lap. It’s no wonder that the average finish for the last 12 MX-5 Cup races at Road America is 0.452-second.

“On the last lap coming out of Turn 14, I’m looking to be in the top three,” Thomas said. “The possible scenarios are endless, and you just have to be ready for anything on the last lap!”

MX-5 Cup rookies were out in force at Watkins Glen. Joey Atanasio (No. 43 Formidable Racing) earned his third podium finish of the year, solidifying his lead in the Rookie of the Year points. Bruno Carneiro (No. 22 Hixon Motor Sports) earned his first podium finish in Race Two and very nearly got his first win, but it was Aidan Fassnacht (No. 15 McCumbee McAleer Racing) who scored the victory after starting from last on the grid.

The rookies and the entire field for that matter should be careful not to write Fassnacht’s performance off as a fluke; he’s been to Road America before and knows how to win there.

“Prior to Watkins Glen last weekend, Road America was the only track I have won at in the country,” Fassnacht said. “So, my confidence is at an all-time high with two podiums at Watkins Glen and a win from the back. I am now going to a track that I know how to win on. I just can’t wait to get to Road America and get started.”

A rookie with a unique background will join the field this weekend; NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman (No. 75 Thunder Bunny Racing) will make his series debut at Road America. Kligerman has long been a fan of MX-5 Cup racing and will already be at Road America as a reporter for NBC Sports. The timing was perfect for Mazda to invite Kligerman to race as a guest driver.

“I’ve been of fan of MX-5 Cup for a long time,” Kligerman said. “I think the NASCAR audience will love what the series has to offer. These small, nimble cars can take a track like Road America and make it feel like a superspeedway with the way they work in packs and the level of drafting that takes place. I look forward to mixing it up with the regulars.”

Racing alongside the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity series is a first for MX-5 Cup, but a combination that makes plenty of sense; the MX-5 Cup cars are the same as the Mazda Miata MX-5 that one can drive out of a Mazda dealership, the racing is as action packed as NASCAR, and success is highly dependent on a driver’s ability to use the draft. Naturally most of the MX-5 Cup drivers are fans of NASCAR and are thrilled to be on the same fight card at Road America.

“Racing on a NASCAR Cup weekend is a great opportunity to show off the exciting racing that MX-5 Cup puts on to a new fan base and there is no better way to do it than on Fourth of July weekend at Road America,” Thomas said of the upcoming event.

Both Road America races will be streamed live on RACER.com and IMSA.com/tvlive. Saturday’s Round Nine race takes place at 9:05am CT, as does Sunday’s Round 10 race.

Ruedebusch Development and Construction Debuts with Gilliland

Homecoming Weekend for New Partner

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 28, 2022) – It is another new weekend and another new track for rising star Todd Gilliland. The NASCAR Cup Series rookie driver will compete this weekend at Road America- the beautiful road course located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Although another new experience for Gilliland behind the wheel, he comes into the weekend with a partner based in Wisconsin.

Ruedebusch Development and Construction has been a familiar supporter of the sport. The Wisconsin-based company is a full-service commercial construction and real estate land development business. They specialize in commercial real estate development, design, real estate brokerage, consulting and more.

They have supported several teams and drivers and Gilliland is proud to carry their colors this weekend.

“It has been awesome to have the support from Ruedebusch Development and Construction this year,” said Gilliland. “They love the sport, and they are great people. I will have to ask them for advice this weekend because they have been to Road America more than I have. But seriously, it has been fun to see all the partners give me support this season. It has been up and down, but we are grinding away and love all the partners backing us.”

Ruedebusch Development and Construction will be the primary partner of Gilliland and the No. 38 team two more times in the 2022 season with races on the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

First, Gilliland is ready to concentrate on the task at hand.

“I look forward to racing road course races,” said Gilliland. “Which is good, because in the NASCAR Cup Series there are a lot on the schedule. Road America is a new track for me, but I am confident that we can take some notes from the previous road races at Circuit of the Americas and Sonoma and get up to speed quickly.”

Gilliland and the Ruedebusch Development and Construction Ford Mustang will race Road America on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. ET on the USA Network.
