Cadillac at Bahrain: Golden opportunity

Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA looks to complete WEC season with program bests

DETROIT (November 3, 2025) – Cadillac Racing enters the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season finale with objectives that stretch beyond this weekend’s Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain.

A second race victory in its first year with two Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA Hypercar entries, the season’s fourth pole and the Cadillac Racing program’s best finish in the Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ Championships are at the forefront. Carrying momentum from any or all those results into the ewith programight-race 2026 campaign is the bonus.

“I think we’ve established some strong bases for next year and looking forward to closing on a high on a difficult track in Bahrain,” said Sebastien Bourdais, who will sharing driving duties with Earl Bamber and Jenson Button.

Three free practice sessions totaling 240 minutes preceding qualifications for the 18-car Hypercar field representing eight manufacturers will be conducted on the 5.412 km (3.363-mile), 15-turn Bahrain International Circuit in preparation for the November 8 race.

With a single point scored at Fuji, Ferrari holds a 39-point advantage over Porsche and 61-point lead over Cadillac in the Manufacturers’ Championship with 66 points available in the finale.

Similarly, the front-running No. 51 Ferrari AF Corse has recorded only 10 points over the past three races, which places the charging No. 12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R of Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens 13 points out of third and 21 points behind second in the Drivers’ Championship.

The No. 12 entry is the only Hypercar to score points in all seven races, highlighted by the program’s maiden WEC victory in July at Interlagos.

Along with the No. 38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R, the Cadillac Racing entries have also qualified 1-2 in three of the past four races.

Last year, the lone Cadillac Racing Hypercar entry driven by Bamber, Bourdais and Lynn finished sixth after starting 13th. Hertz Team JOTA placed seventh and 13th with another manufacturer.

The race is scheduled for 2 p.m. AST / 6 a.m. ET Saturday. Full streaming coverage is available on the MotorTrend and the MAX app in the United States in addition to the FIA WEC app. Worldwide streaming via the in-car cameras on the Nos. 12 and 38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.Rs is available HERE. Streaming of Free Practice 3 and qualifying will be available on the FIA WEC app.

What they’re saying

No. 12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R

Alex Lynn: “Looking forward to going to Bahrain. It’s a great circuit and I’m expecting to fight for a great result. We’ve been on extremely good form, especially when it comes to qualifying with three pole positions in the last four races and four poles in the last nine races. I think we have good pace in our car and looking to end the year on a high. If we can pick up a trophy, that would be a lovely way to end the year, which has on the whole been a fantastic 2025 with so many milestones reached. It’s been a landmark year with so many amazing memories. And I’m looking forward to 2026; it comes around so fast.”

Norman Nato: “Especially in the position we are in, we’re going to fight for some good position in the manufacturer championship and driver championship, where we can do top three with both, if not better. So, it’s exciting. It’s crazy already to say that it’s the last race of the season. It’s been so fast. All the work that has been done like from a year ago now because this is when, basically, last year we started to drive the car for the first time and to try to develop everything. Still a long way to go to achieve the goals we want to achieve, but we can be quite proud of what everyone has done this season. We want to finish on a high and we will push to win the race, if possible, and if not, to finish as high as possible in both championships.”

Will Stevens: “There’s a lot for grabs for us in both the drivers and constructors’ championships. We’re fighting for P2 in the constructors and can get in the top three and the Drivers Championship. So, there’s a lot in play for us and a race we have confidence as a team going into because we’re generally quite strong there as a team. It’s quite a different track to a lot of others, very high degradation on tires. It requires quite a different philosophy to be strong there, but something we know what we need to do to achieve a good result. We’ve been strong at all the races this year. I think we have a good understanding now of where we need to be and what we need to do with the car to be competitive. So just excited for it, a longer race, more at play, and let’s hope we can finish this season on a high.”

No. 38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R

Earl Bamber: “JOTA and Cadillac have done a fantastic job. We had the goal of getting one podium this year and got the win and second. And we’ve smashed it out of the park with all the front row lockouts. The 38 side of the garage is really strong. I felt we had one of the strongest cars in Fuji as well. Just a little bit of bad luck. Going to Bahrain, I said to the JOTA guys, ‘we need some of your Bahrain magic sauce.’ So, hopefully, they can sprinkle a bit on and we’ll be a jet.”

Sebastien Bourdais: “It’s been an interesting one. Lots of speed at times, especially in qualifying, not always transforming into results but a very valuable first season in the collaboration between JOTA and Cadillac. I think we’ve established some strong bases for next year and looking forward to closing on a high on a difficult track in Bahrain. It’s critical to manage tire degradation and the track has been challenging to Cadillac in the past. We were also concerned about tire deg in Interlagos and it ended up being our strongest weekend, so we’ll approach the weekend with an open mind and hopefully we can hit the ground running and have a great weekend.”

Jenson Button: “I think when you look at this year and what Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA have achieved in such a short time, it’s impressive. When we first had the Cadillac, it’s obviously a big transitional period going from one car to another. It takes time. The way that we’ve improved the car through the season with obviously the 1-2 in Brazil, we have to be positive coming here and looking for a great result. Working with JOTA, it’s been a real lovely atmosphere within the team, a real family atmosphere even though we’re a works team it still has that family vibe. And this is such a competitive championship. The cars look cool, they sound amazing and there are some bloody amazing drivers racing in this championship, so it always makes for good racing.”

Team Penske NASCAR Cup Series Race Report – Phoenix 2

NASCAR Cup Series Championship – Phoenix Raceway
Avondale, Ariz. – November 2, 2025

AUSTIN CINDRIC No. 2 DISCOUNT TIRE FORD MUSTANG DARK HORSE
START: 4TH STAGE 1: 4TH STAGE 2: 20TH FINISH: 34TH POINTS: 14TH
RACE RUNDOWN: Austin Cindric and the No. 2 Discount Tire Ford Mustang Dark Horse showed strong early pace in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series season finale at Phoenix Raceway before late-race trouble brought an early end to their day. After starting fourth, Cindric quickly settled into third and remained a steady presence inside the top five throughout the opening segment, crossing the line fourth at the conclusion of Stage 1. A series of cautions in Stage 2 shuffled the running order, and a slow stop midway through the Stage dropped the No. 2 team toward the back of the field in 28th. A hard charge from the No. 2 saw Cindric gain a handful of positions before the second segment concluded, in which he finished 20th. The Discount Tire team continued to battle through the final stint, methodically working back inside the top 15 before a spin on Lap 259 sent the No. 2 Ford Mustang into the wall with heavy right-rear damage. The team made repairs to keep the car in the race, and Cindric went on to finish 34th after nursing the damaged Discount Tire machine to the checkered flag.

CINDRIC’S THOUGHTS: “We had really strong pace early and put ourselves in a good position to start the day. Unfortunately, things didn’t go our way there at the end. I’m proud of this No. 2 team for the effort they’ve put in all season — everyone has continued to fight week in and week out. Thank you to all our partners and everyone at Team Penske for their support. We’ll reset, get to work this offseason, and come back ready to hit the ground running in 2026.”

RYAN BLANEY No. 12 MENARDS/DUTCH BOY FORD MUSTANG DARK HORSE
START: 5TH STAGE 1: 2ND STAGE 2: 2ND FINISH: 1ST POINTS: 6TH
RACE RUNDOWN: Ryan Blaney and the No. 12 Menards/Dutch Boy Ford Mustang Dark Horse team capped off the 2025 season with their fourth win of the year Sunday at Phoenix in a thrilling overtime finish. Blaney’s fourth win marks a single season career best for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Champion and his first career win at Phoenix after producing runner-up efforts in four of his previous six starts at the one-mile oval. Sunday’s result also marked Blaney’s 15th top-five run of the year, setting a new single-season best.

Blaney proved to be one of the strongest cars in field from the drop of the green flag and maintained top-five pace to secure second-place finishes in both of the opening stages. Following the end of Stage 2, the No. 12 team won the race off pit road after a four tire stop as Blaney lined up from the inside of row one to begin the final run to the finish. Despite losing control of the lead during the ensuing run, a caution with 34 laps to go set up a restart with 28 laps remaining as Blaney charged to third in the running order with his sights set on the leaders. The final caution of the afternoon came out with three laps to go with Blaney scored second, prompting crew chief Jonathan Hassler to make the call for right side tires only as the No. 12 team again led the way off the pit lane. With three cars staying out under caution, Blaney lined up from the inside of row two for the green-white-checkered finish and was able to come out ahead of a three-wide battle in turns three and four to jump to the second spot and took the white flag two car lengths back of the lead. Despite entering the final corner behind the No. 6, Blaney charged to the inside on the exit and powered to the lead to take the checkered flag and secure his fourth win in the season finale.

BLANEY’S THOUGHTS: “It’s just cool to end it on a good note. It’s just cool and obviously we had a fast car all day. Those other guys were just kind of faster getting going and I could never retain the lead. Those guys were just really good and it took my car a while to come in, but it was a really good call for two there and keeping track position. I got a decent restart and I was able to kind of roll the bottom in three and four and eek [Brad Keselowski] out at the line. I’m just really proud of the whole group and cool to end it in victory lane. It’s a shame we weren’t in the Championship 4. Congrats to Kyle [Larson] and that whole team. I’m happy for this team that we could end it the best way we could.”

JOEY LOGANO No. 22 SHELL-PENNZOIL FORD MUSTANG DARK HORSE
START: 10TH STAGE 1: 8TH STAGE 2: 8TH FINISH: 4TH PLAYOFF POINTS: 7TH
RACE RUNDOWN: Joey Logano and the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Mustang Dark Horse team capped off their 2025 season with a top-five effort in Sunday’s season finale at Phoenix, taking the checkered flag fourth following an overtime finish. Logano ran consistently in the top-10 all afternoon, securing eighth-place finishes in the each of the first two stages before settling in for the final run of the season. A caution with 54 laps to go prompted a four tire stop under caution before Logano lined up to take the green from the inside of row three and battled his way into the top-five during the opening laps of the restart, but another caution with 34 laps remaining reset the field once again. Following another stop on pit road for four tires, Logano took the green flag with 28 laps to go and found speed in the outside lane to vault to third in the running order with his sights set on the leaders ahead. The final caution of the afternoon was displayed with three laps to go as crew chief Paul Wolfe made the call for right side tires only to maintain track position for the ensuing green-white-checkered finish. With three cars opting to stay out, Logano lined up from the inside of row three and found success in the bottom lane to work his way to fourth when the white flag was shown. Logano carried a strong run coming out of the final corner, but ultimately settled for a fourth-place result in Sunday’s season finale.

LOGANO’S THOUGHTS: “Yeah, we were close. We needed one more lap, to be honest with you. I was underneath them all at the line and had momentum on the short cut. I think I would have cleared them all into one if we had one more, but ifs and buts don’t really matter. Overall, we had a shot at it, but didn’t position ourselves far enough forward for the last green-white-checkered there. We just had a little hiccup on pit road leaving. It was close. You see the leaders right there in front of you and you think you’ve got a shot at it, but just couldn’t quite pull it off. It’s a good way to finish the season – solid. Dang it. I saw the win.”

The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series kicks off with the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium on February 1. The Cup Series regular season kicks off with DAYTONA 500 on Sunday, February 15th. Both races will be broadcast on FOX, MRN Radio, and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio.

Tony Stewart, Driver of the Rush Truck Centers Dodge//SRT Top Fuel Dragster
“We would have liked to have gone through the semis and to the final, but I feel that we have our race car back now. Since the Maple Grove crash, I’m not sure we had the same race car that we had the majority of the season. I feel like this weekend Neal (Strausbaugh – crew chief) had the mentality that he was going to be a little more aggressive in qualifying, and, even in the semis when we smoked the tires, we were aggressive. I do feel that we have our car back. I feel good about where we are right now. It’s unfortunate that we dug a hole before these last two events. We’ll get the car back running well just in time to get my wife (Leah Pruett) back in the race car. It was a great win for Matt too at the Dodge event. We had the Dodge executives here and that is exciting.”

Matt Hagan, Driver of the American Rebel Beer Dodge//SRT Hellcat Funny Car
“It was a ‘have to win’ race for us. Sometimes you pull your crew chief aside and say, ‘We have to win this one.’ I’m super proud of my guys – Mike Knudson (crew chief), Phil Shuler (co-crew chief), Alex Conaway (car chief) and the whole TSR crew. They were making the call for the first time at every racetrack, and to see the potential that Knud has for the future is awesome. Some guys will ask for the growing year their first year as a crew chief. He doesn’t have the notepad and experience of a Dickie Venables who was my crew chief for many years. Crew chiefs win races. I just jump on the pedal and go. But they have to make the right calls at the right times. Las Vegas has been very kind to me over the years with five wins in the Fall races and one in the Spring. We have had a number of parts failures at times and that has hurt us in the championship hunt. It is humbling, because it’s out of your control. But our team has overcome adversity this year and here we are in the winner’s circle again. It’s been a fun year with these crew guys and it’s great to see them when we win. It was exciting today because all of our major sponsors were here – Dodge, Direct Connection, American Rebel Beer, Johnson Horsepowered Garage — and it’s great to see their excitement in the winner’s circle too. This fight for the championship isn’t over, and we’ll be ready for Pomona in two weeks. I’m hungry to get a fifth World title.”

RFK Racing Ends Season Strong with Runner-Up Finish at Phoenix

Keselowski 2nd; Preece 9th; Buescher 12th

PHOENIX, AZ (November 2, 2025) – RFK Racing closed out the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season with a strong showing at Phoenix Raceway, highlighted by a runner-up finish from Brad Keselowski, a top-10 effort from Ryan Preece, and a solid performance from Chris Buescher. Across the 312-lap season finale, the three Ford Mustangs battled through handling challenges, strategic pit stops, and late-race restarts to showcase the team’s speed, resilience, and execution as the season came to a close.

6 Brad Keselowski

Brad Keselowski capped the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season with a thrilling runner-up finish Sunday afternoon at Phoenix Raceway, leading the field on the final lap of overtime before being passed in the closing corner. Starting 19th, Keselowski and the No. 6 Castrol Ford team methodically worked forward throughout the 312-lap event, showing steady pace and strong execution all day.

Keselowski settled into the top 20 early, reporting a good ride overall but some difficulty on corner exit. The opening 60 laps ran caution-free, and he finished Stage One in 19th. After a solid pit stop, he restarted 17th to begin Stage Two and quickly climbed to 14th before handling changes and strategy shuffles dropped him back outside the top 20. A mid-stage caution allowed the No. 6 team to reset, and Keselowski regained ground to finish 18th in Stage Two.

The No. 6 came alive in the final stage as Keselowski advanced into the top 15 shortly after the restart, cracking the top 10 by lap 258. A quick pit stop under caution gained two more spots, putting him seventh for the restart. From there, he held steady inside the top 10 before a late caution brought the field to overtime.

Crew Chief Jeremy Bullins made the bold call to stay out, placing Keselowski on the front row for the final restart. He surged to the lead on the white-flag lap and appeared headed for victory before Ryan Blaney slipped by in the final turn, leaving Keselowski to finish second.

60 Ryan Preece

Ryan Preece closed out the 2025 Cup Series season with a strong ninth-place finish Sunday afternoon at Phoenix Raceway, capping a steady day of progress for the No. 60 Fry’s / CELSIUS Ford team. After starting 21st, Preece and crew battled handling challenges through the first half of the race before coming alive late to earn a hard-fought top-10 finish.

Preece opened the race just outside the top 20, settling into 24th by lap 20 before moving past Austin Dillon to take 23rd near the midway point of Stage One. As multiple lanes began to develop, Preece reported the high line worked better through Turns 1 and 2 but continued to fight tightness through the center of the corners. He finished Stage One in 23rd and pitted for tires and fuel under the stage caution.

Stage Two brought a mix of adjustments and challenges as the team worked to improve the No. 60 Ford’s balance. Preece pitted early in the stage for four fresh tires but said the changes “weren’t good enough” to help the tight-handling condition. A caution at lap 107 allowed for another round of service and a front-end adjustment, though track position was difficult to regain. He finished the stage 28th under caution as the team prepared to regroup for the final segment.

Restarting 26th, Preece initially slipped back before the car began to respond on the long run. He climbed into the top 25 by lap 220 and continued advancing, cracking the top 20 with under 40 laps remaining. A series of late cautions played to the team’s advantage, and sharp execution on restarts helped Preece surge from 17th to 11th with under 30 laps to go. When a final caution set up overtime, Crew Chief Derrick Finley made the call to stay out, placing Preece on the front row for the restart. He held strong through the final dash to the checkered flag, crossing the line ninth for his first career top-10 finish at Phoenix.

17 Chris Buescher

Chris Buescher closed out the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season with a 12th-place finish Sunday at Phoenix Raceway, rounding out a solid year for the No. 17 Body Guard Ford team. Starting ninth, Buescher battled through a combination of tight-handling conditions and challenging restarts but remained competitive throughout the 312-lap event.

Buescher slipped to 12th early in Stage One before battling back into the top 10, passing Daniel Suarez, Josh Berry, and Chase Briscoe to finish the stage ninth. He noted that the car improved on longer runs, but reported a lack of rear grip midway through the stage. Following a pit stop for tires and fuel under caution, Buescher restarted eighth for Stage Two but quickly slipped outside the top 10 during hectic restarts. Despite multiple adjustments, he struggled to maintain track position on restarts and finished Stage Two in 14th.

The No. 17 Ford continued to face long-run challenges in Stage Three, though Buescher steadily worked his way forward. He ran as high as 10th during a caution-filled segment and battled for position inside the top 15, exchanging spots with drivers including Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Strategic pit stops late in the stage helped him maintain position, and he ultimately finished 12th at the checkered flag.

TEAM CHEVY RACE RECAP | NOTES & QUOTES

Notes:

  • For the 19th time in her career, Brittany Force drove a Top Fuel Dragster to victory, breaking a tie with Shirley Muldowney and giving her the all-time lead among women Top Fuel pilots. The JFR Chevrolet Accessories Top Fuel Dragster was consistent on the way to a tight win over Shawn Langdon and her second Wally of the year. Force bested Langdon by nine feet with a finals run of 3.704 seconds at 337.33mph.
  • For the 58th time in her career and sixth time in 2025, Force took the No. 1 spot in qualifying. Her second run on Friday at 3.697 seconds was enough for the top spot, and the 338.85mph at the top end means Force has set nine new track speed records this season.
  • A solo run in the first round led to a match-up with Clay Millican in the second round, with Force giving up lane choice by a slim 0.008 seconds. Force never trailed after an early advantage, going 3.764 seconds at 335.65mph to move on to the semi-finals for the eighth time in 2025.
  • Force faced an early deficit and, despite losing cylinders halfway down the course, kept her foot in it to move on to the final after Stewart went up in smoke.
  • Austin Prock and his Cornwell Tools JFR Chevrolet SS Funny Car made a final round for the 12th time in 19 events, but fell to Matt Hagan after being forced to pedal it early. Prock heads to the final round with a 101-point lead over Hagan.
  • Prock and teammate Jack Beckman in the PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant JFR Chevrolet SS Funny Car traded the No. 1 qualifying spot over the two runs on Saturday, with Prock saving his best for his fourth run, going 3.885 seconds at 335.23mph to grab the top spot for the third straight event and seventh time in 2025.
  • Prock faced intense competition in the first three rounds of eliminations, beating Jason Rupert, JR Todd, and Bob Tasca III to reach the final against Hagan.
  • Beckman bested Dave Richards in the first round before falling just short against Daniel Wilkerson in the quarter-finals.
  • Dallas Glenn extended his points lead over teammate Greg Anderson to 92 points headed to the final round, using a run of 6.602 seconds at 206.61mph in his Pro Stock Chevrolet Camaro to win the Las Vegas final against Matt Hartford.

UP NEXT:

AUSTIN PROCK, DRIVER OF THE CORNWELL TOOLS CHEVROLET SS FUNNY CAR FOR JOHN FORCE RACING:

“Went up there and read the racetrack and these Funny Cars can be funny sometimes. It did everything we asked it to. Everything lined up on the computers just like it should have. And it just didn’t go, and it’s hard to say exactly what it was. It stings, you know, but all in all, it was a good weekend.l We wanted to go to the final round and we wanted a shot at winning and we believe we had a shot at winning and just didn’t work out”

JACK BECKMAN, DRIVER OF THE PEAK ANTIFREEZE AND COOLANTS CHEVROLET SS FUNNY CAR FOR JOHN FORCE RACING:

“Great race car, marginal driver on that run. There’s no other way to spin it. I got beat on a whole shot. I don’t know that my best light was going to win that race. Wilkerson just nailed the tree. I didn’t have a light this weekend quick enough to outrun that. But I also didn’t have the light that I should have had up there. That’s a bitter pill. It makes for a long toe back to the pits, knowing that the crew gave you a phenomenal race car and you didn’t give them 100% out there. So I’m not going to try to spend this in a positive way. I’m upset, and I let the team down, and I also don’t do good dwelling on negative things. I’m going to work on the things that I need to work on to be better when we unload the car at Pomona.”

BRITTANY FORCE, DRIVER OF THE MONSTER ENERGY CHEVROLET DRAGSTER FOR JOHN FORCE RACING:

“This win is a special one, mainly because of the announcement I made in Reading and the beginning of the countdown that I was going to step out of the seat. So when that got out there, I want led to end strong, I wanted to win another one for this Chevrolet team. It’s been far too long, and the one thing I was saying is I want to finish strong. “

Berry Caps First Season with the Wood Brothers with Top-10 Finish at Phoenix

Josh Berry and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane team closed out their 2025 NASCAR Cup Series campaign with a strong showing in Sunday’s season finale at Phoenix Raceway, scoring a seventh-place finish after running inside the top 10 for much of the afternoon.

The result marked the team’s eighth top-10 of the season, complementing one victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, three top-fives, and a 16th-place finish in the final driver standings. The performance capped a memorable year for Berry and the Wood Brothers Racing team as they celebrated the organization’s 75th anniversary season.

Berry rolled off seventh — his 11th start of seventh or better this year — and raced inside or near the top 10 throughout the opening 60-lap Stage, finishing 12th. During Stage 2, the No. 21 Ford Mustang Dark Horse climbed back into the top 10 after a Lap 107 caution and maintained pace among the frontrunners before ending the segment in 12th.

In the final Stage, Berry and the Motorcraft/Quick Lane team continued to fine-tune the car’s balance, allowing the No. 21 to run consistently inside the top 10 and into the top five late in the going. A caution for a blown tire on William Byron’s car set up an Overtime finish, where Berry and most of the leaders opted for right-side tires only.

The Tennessee native held firm to take the checkered flag in seventh as teammate and former Wood Brothers driver Ryan Blaney scored the race win, while Kyle Larson claimed the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series championship.

The strong finish provided a fitting end to Berry’s first season behind the wheel of the iconic No. 21 Ford and gives the team plenty of momentum heading into 2026.

The Wood Brothers Racing family extends its heartfelt thanks to the fans, partners, and supporters who made the team’s 75th anniversary season one to remember, and wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

J.R. GRAY CLINCHES CONGRUITY NHRA PRO MOD SERIES TITLE IN WINNER-TAKE-ALL FINAL AT LAS VEGAS

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 2, 2025) – In a thrilling winner-take-all final round in the Congruity NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series on Sunday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, J.R. Gray clinched his first career NHRA world championship by taking down Billy Banaka to close out the season as part of the Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection.

The event was the final of 10 races in NHRA Pro Mod and the last of the category’s four-race “Road to the Championship” playoffs was powered by JBS Equipment.

Gray, who won three races in the regular season, was stellar on Sunday as the stakes grew with each passing round. He defeated Alex Laughlin, Kevin Rivenbark and past world champion Mike Castella to reach the final round, setting up the high-stakes championship round against Banaka.

Gray left first with a sterling .028 reaction time and never looked back, pulling away from Banaka with a run of 5.749-seconds at 250.04 mph in his Al-Anabi Performance Camaro, clinching the event win and, more importantly, the world championship for the very first time in the NHRA ranks.

“The level of competition in this class is incredible. Every round, I kept going, ‘This is the most important round,’ and it was just all day long like that. To come out on top, this is my greatest victory ever,” Gray said.

“I was very mentally prepared. I was just taking it one round at a time. You’re walking a fine line between trying to be calm and not being calm at the same time. I felt like I controlled my emotions well all day, and I feel like that was one of the reasons I was able to get this victory.”

Gray, who qualified No. 3, had a dominant regular season with four final-round appearances, but stumbled out of the gates in the Pro Mod playoffs, falling in the first round at the first two races. He recovered with a semifinal showing in St. Louis, knowing he likely needed to win in Las Vegas to have a shot at a championship.

Gray went 5.710 at 252.28 in the opening round and went 5.75 in the next two rounds to set up the marquee matchup with Banaka.

“It’s just amazing for it to come down the last round,” Gray said. “I just didn’t let the pressure get to me and we worked together as a team. In that final round, I wasn’t going to lift no matter what. It just felt amazing to see that win light pop up.”

Banaka, who won his first career race in NHRA Pro Mod earlier this year, qualified No. 1 and advanced to the finals for the third time this season thanks to round wins over Stan Shelton, Derek Menholt and Chip King.

The NHRA Pro Mod Series will open the 2026 season as part of the NHRA Gatornationals at legendary Gainesville Raceway on March 5-8.

B. FORCE, HAGAN, GLENN & HERRERA GET HUGE PLAYOFF WINS AT DODGE NHRA NEVADA NATIONALS

  • Force rolls to TF triumph
  • Hagan stays in hunt with FC win
  • Glenn gets eighth PS victory of 2025
  • Herrera makes major move in PSM

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 2, 2025) – In her final appearance at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Brittany Force powered past Shawn Langdon in the final round on Sunday at the 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection, winning for the 19th time in her career.

Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the 19th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season and the fifth of six races in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs.

Force went 3.704-seconds at 337.33 mph in her 12,000-horsepower Chevrolet Accessories dragster, holding off Langdon’s run of 3.727 at 333.91 to pick up her second victory in 2025 and her fifth career win in Las Vegas. It brought out a roar from the crowd as Force, who announced her retirement from full-time racing at the end of the season, looks to close the season in style.

She qualified No. 1, setting the track speed record on Friday, and then knocked off Clay Millican and Tony Stewart on Sunday to face off against Langdon. She posted a solid .065 reaction time and quickly chased down Langdon, as her 19th career win also breaks a tie with legendary Shirley Muldowney as the winningest female in Top Fuel history.

It gives her back-to-back fall wins at Las Vegas, adding another special memory to her standout career.

“This win is a special one,” Force said. “This race is now something more than any other race, because of that number 19, lining it up as the winningest female driver in Top Fuel makes it more special. When we look back on this win, this one now will be because we were able to do that with two races left.

“Ever since I made my retirement announcement, my guys have said they wanted at least one more win for me and I wanted to end strong and get back to that winner’s circle. It’s been far too long. I put my heart into it. My team puts their heart into this car. It’s very special.”

Langdon reached the finals for the sixth time this season and 51st time in his career, defeating Kelly Harper, Justin Ashley and teammate Doug Kalitta to reach the final round. The semifinal win against Kalitta kept Langdon and Ashley alive in the championship chase against Kalitta, who still holds a commanding points lead with one race left. Kalitta, who is seeking his second world title in three years, leads Langdon by 144 points and Ashley by 163 points.

In Funny Car, four-time world champion Matt Hagan stayed alive in the title chase with a spectacular performance on Sunday in Las Vegas, including a weekend-best run of 3.877 at 327.03 in his 12,000-horsepower American Rebel Beer Dodge//SRT Hellcat to defeat points leader Austin Prock in the final round.

With Prock on the verge of clinching, Hagan and his Tony Stewart Racing team made sure it wouldn’t take place in Vegas, turning in an epic day, making two runs of 3.87 to stay alive. The victory over Prock gave Hagan his third victory of the season and 55th in his standout career.

He knocked off Cruz Pedregon, Chad Green and Daniel Wilkerson to reach the final round, racing past Prock when the reigning world champion ran into tire smoke. Chasing down Hagan would have been tough, as the 3.877 was the best of the weekend in the class and also handed Hagan his sixth career win in Las Vegas. The veteran remained impressed by the job from his team as Hagan won for the second time in the Countdown to the Championship this season.

“I think we made [the points race] interesting,” Hagan said. “Nobody really expected us to win or them to smoke the tires, or anything like that. But we just went up there and said, ‘This is what we think the track can hold and run the best that we can,’ and I was up on the wheel and got a good light.”

“It was a have-to win-race. There’s some times in my career that you pull your crew chief aside and say, ‘Man, we got to win this one,” and this was one. I’m just super proud of my guys. You know, Mike Knudsen, Alex Conaway, Phil Shuler, making the calls for the first time at every race track we show up as a first-time crew chief. Crew chiefs win races, man; the drivers is just keeping it in the groove and making it look good.”

Prock went to the finals for the 12th time this year and 32nd time in his career thanks to wins against Jason Rupert, J.R. Todd and Bob Tasca III. He remains in prime position to clinch a second straight world championship in Pomona, holding a 101-point lead over Hagan.

There was no Las Vegas slump this weekend for Pro Stock points leader Dallas Glenn, who was picture-perfect on Sunday, taking the win for the eighth time this season after defeating Matt Hartford in the championship round with a run of 6.602 at 206.61 in his RAD Torque Systems Chevrolet Camaro.

Last year, Glenn lost in the opening round in Las Vegas, opening the door for Greg Anderson to pull off a massive comeback in Pomona. It didn’t happen this time, as Glenn took down Anderson in the semifinals and finished the job, winning for the third time in Las Vegas and opening up a sizable 92-point lead over Anderson heading into the final race.

It was the weekend Glenn needed, as he defeated Dave Connolly, 10-time Vegas winner Erica Enders and then Anderson en route to the finals. Against Anderson, Glenn was dynamite on the starting line, using a .026 reaction time to pick up the holeshot victory with a run of 6.606 at 206.92. He was an even better .006 against Hartford, driving away for the win – with a championship now within reach.

“This is very satisfying,” Glenn said. “Coming in with a very similar points lead to last year where I had to sit and watch that lead go to negative. This is definitely a much better feeling to be sitting here holding the trophy this time. You definitely can’t describe how good this feels.

“It hasn’t really hit me yet. I have so much more confidence in the car and I got all the nervousness out last year with that incredible points battle that we had between four drivers. I definitely feel way more relaxed, way less nervous. I was a wreck last year.”

Hartford made the final round for the fourth time in 2025 and the 21st time in his career after knocking off Deric Kramer, Fernando Cuadra Jr. and Jeg Coughlin Jr.

Back-to-back Pro Stock Motorcycle world champion Gaige Herrera had a flawless weekend when he needed it most, capping off an impressive three days with his third straight victory in Las Vegas, taking down Angie Smith in the final round with a run of 6.809 at 198.17 on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki.

It gives Herrera his seventh victory this season and 28th in his career, and with a third straight championship on the line, he pulled to within 21 points of teammate and points leader Richard Gadson. That’s less than one round of racing at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals in Pomona, setting up what could be an incredible finale.

Herrera qualified No. 1 and then knocked off Karen Stoffer and Clayton Howey to set up a thriller in the semifinals against Gadson. The points leader left with a perfect .000 light and Herrera was right there with a .005 start, delivering a 6.825 to take the win. He followed with another strong showing against Smith, keeping him red-hot in Las Vegas.

“This couldn’t have gone any better,” Herrera said. “Me and my teammate [Gadson], facing off in the semis, with him in the points lead, so I needed him to go out to get a little closer. What a race between me and him, my .005 light to his perfect .000 light. It just doesn’t get any better than that. It also just goes to show how hungry we both are to get this championship right now.

“Going up for the final, I was kind of like, ‘All right, let’s just go make another lap’, but Angie put up a good fight there. We both ran really well. I feel like I do better under pressure. The last two seasons, I kind of just had to win the first round to clinch the championship. This year it’s going to be different. I’d love to race (Gadson) in the final in Pomona for the championship.”

Smith reached the final round for the second time this season and 11th time in her career thanks to round wins against Freddie Camarena, Matt Smith and Brayden Davis.

TOYOTA QUOTES

SHAWN LANGDON, Kalitta Air Careers Toyota Top Fuel Dragster, Kalitta Motorsports

TF Final Result: Runner-up

What does a run like today mean for you and the championship fight?

“It was a great racing day. We had a good qualifying spot (third). First round did throw us a curveball, though – we were able to have a little bit of luck and make it through that. But from then on out, we had very fast race car. From a statistical and avid fan standpoint, the second round against Justin (Ashley) was pretty awesome. I was kind of in a different zone today, so it didn’t really dawn on me until after the run how big that round was, but regardless, I was just trying to do my job. I was a little off on the tree today for whatever reason, but it worked. The Kalitta Air Career Toyota Dragster saved my butt. The semifinal win over Doug (Kalitta) is why we have a completely outside shot at the championship, but still, we’re going to Pomona with that shot. We’ll go there with the same mentality we’ve had the last couple of races – we just need to win, and we have the car to do it. It’s just a matter of everything falling into place, but the main objective is the Kalitta cars finishing one-two in points at the end of the day.”

DOUG KALITTA, Mac Tools Toyota Top Fuel Dragster, Kalitta Motorsports

TF Final Result: Semifinals

Describe your day for us and what this means for Pomona in a few weeks?

“The ladder definitely set up nicely for us starting the day, but Shawn (Langdon) made a really good run in the semis and got around us. After a couple of race wins and halfway through this one, it’s been nice seeing those win lights come on. It was just one of those deals. My guys are really doing a heck of a job, and we had Mac Tools, Toyota, Revchem, Dayco and all our friends from them out here (Las Vegas) so we had a lot of support – that’s definitely a big part of it. We have one more race to go, and we’ll go into it in a really good position.  It’s definitely the best position I’ve ever been in going into Pomona, but we didn’t get enough points to clinch it here, so we still have some work to do.”

Beyond The Wreck: How Medical Negligence Delays Healing

Photo by mohamad azaam on Unsplash

Recovery from a serious injury or illness often depends on a delicate chain of trust, skill, and timely care. When this chain breaks through medical negligence, patients face more than physical harm. Their recovery timeline stretches, emotional strain deepens, and the hope for stability fades. Healing, which should progress toward restoration, can instead become a prolonged ordeal. Mistakes in diagnosis, delays in treatment, or careless aftercare extend the suffering long after the original trauma. What might have been a straightforward recovery becomes an exhausting journey filled with uncertainty and legal questions. Exploring how negligence shapes the aftermath of treatment helps illuminate the long-term impact on patients who seek justice, compensation, and closure.

Disease Progression – Lawyer’s Role

When a patient’s condition worsens because of medical negligence, the results can be devastating. In these situations, the role of a lawyer becomes crucial in identifying how the actions of a healthcare provider led to extended suffering. A delayed diagnosis, incorrect medication, or neglect during follow-up visits can transform a treatable condition into a chronic or life-threatening disease. Lawyers who handle such cases examine hospital records, consult medical experts, and reconstruct the sequence of care that failed the patient. Professionals like those at Hoover Medical Malpractice Law office are a guiding force for those navigating the intricate balance between medical ethics and patient rights. Attorneys under this legal framework focus on establishing accountability and proving the direct link between medical errors and delayed recovery. Their intervention often becomes the turning point where patients shift from silent suffering to active pursuit of justice. By presenting clear evidence and expert testimony, they highlight how an avoidable delay in care can alter the entire course of healing.

Emotional Strain and Psychological Aftermath

Medical malpractice inflicts damage that extends beyond the physical body. Patients who experience betrayal from trusted healthcare professionals often develop deep emotional scars. The psychological aftermath can manifest as anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress. For many, returning to a medical setting feels like reliving the trauma, making future treatments difficult to pursue. This emotional weight can slow physical healing since the body responds to prolonged stress with fatigue and weakened immunity.

Families endure their own turmoil as they watch a loved one battle both illness and despair. The feeling of powerlessness, compounded by mounting medical bills and uncertainty, strains relationships and erodes confidence in the healthcare system. Counseling and mental health support become critical components of recovery, yet these are often overlooked. Lawyers advocating for victims of negligence push for compensation not just for physical harm, but for emotional suffering too. Their advocacy recognizes that mental wounds can be as lasting and painful as any surgical scar.

Economic Toll and the Struggle for Stability

Medical negligence often brings a heavy financial burden that can last for years. Extended hospital stays, corrective procedures, lost wages, and long-term therapies drain savings and create debt that few are prepared for. A family that once felt financially secure can quickly face the threat of bankruptcy. Beyond direct medical costs, there are hidden losses: missed career opportunities, reduced earning potential, and the need for ongoing care.

The pursuit of compensation becomes more than a legal step; it becomes a means of survival. Victims often rely on legal professionals to calculate the true cost of their suffering, not just what appears on invoices. Courts evaluate these claims through expert testimony and financial documentation to determine what will restore a sense of stability. Though money cannot erase pain, it can offer a foundation for rebuilding. The process is long and emotionally draining, but fair compensation acknowledges the deep disruption negligence causes in every aspect of life.

Breakdown of Trust in Medical Systems

When negligence occurs, it shakes the confidence people place in healthcare institutions. Patients who once trusted doctors and hospitals to act with competence may begin to question every diagnosis, treatment plan, or medical recommendation. This erosion of trust can discourage individuals from seeking care in the future, risking delayed treatment for new or recurring conditions. Communities, too, suffer when repeated incidents of negligence create reputational harm for local hospitals or clinics.

Public perception of healthcare quality directly affects how people approach their well-being. Lawsuits and media reports can reveal systemic issues such as understaffing, poor training, or inadequate safety protocols. The challenge then becomes rebuilding trust through transparency, accountability, and improvement. Hospitals that acknowledge their mistakes and implement corrective measures often regain respect faster than those that deny responsibility. Restoring faith requires more than apologies; it demands measurable change that patients can see and experience in future care.

Healing after medical negligence demands courage, patience, and strong support. Justice in these cases does more than assign blame; it offers validation and the possibility of closure. When accountability meets compassion, healing can begin anew, turning pain into purpose and helping future patients receive the care they deserve.
