Spire Motorsports Partners With Drydene for Drydene 400

CONCORD, N.C. (May 11, 2021) – Spire Motorsports announced today that Drydene will serve as the primary sponsor of Corey LaJoie’s No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Drydene 400 at Dover International Speedway.

Drydene Performance Products, an American-owned and -operated company, is headquartered in Warminster, Pennsylvania. Drydene’s reputation as the “hardest working brand in heavy-duty lubrication” is backed up by a complete line of automotive, commercial, and industrial lubricants, including engine oils, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), transmission fluids, grease, and hydraulic and gear oils. From grassroots to NASCAR, Drydene is also known for its love and support of all levels of racing.

“We are excited to have Corey continue to be a part of Team Drydene for a third consecutive year and also partnering with Spire Motorsports for the Drydene 400 race at Dover International Speedway,” said Dave Klinger, President of Drydene Performance Products. “Corey is an amazing competitor on the track and a true Drydene brand ambassador off of it. Everyone at Drydene is looking forward to seeing Corey drive the No. 7 Drydene Camaro and hopefully parking it in victory lane.”

LaJoie’s association with Drydene dates back to 2019 during his time in the cockpit of the No. 32 entry for Go FAS Racing.

LaJoie announced his move to Spire Motorsports in November 2020 and has made 12 starts for the Concord, N.C., organization this season. He jump-started the 2021 campaign with a spirited ninth-place showing at the season-opening Daytona 500. In recent weeks, the 29-year-old has logged a trio of top-25 finishes, including a just-miss top 20 at Richmond Raceway where he came home 21st.

He picked up his third top 25 of the season last weekend following a solid 22nd-place showing at Darlington Raceway in the Goodyear 400 during the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR. While he may not have won the race, LaJoie’s Alan Kulwicki inspired throwback paint scheme was the talk of the sport and given high praise throughout the weekend by competitors, broadcasters and industry insiders alike.

LaJoie has seven previous NCS Dover starts and logged nearly 2,200 laps on NASCAR’s senior circuit at the “The Monster Mile.” He is currently 30th in points 12 races into the 2021 schedule, just nine points back from 29th.

In NASCAR K&N Pro Series East competition, the Concord, N.C., native has recorded five starts at the high-banked, one-mile concrete oval, notching one win, three top-five and four top-10 finishes.

“It’s great to have Drydene back on board this weekend at Dover International Speedway,” said LaJoie. “Drydene has been a great supporter of mine over the years, so I’m proud to continue that relationship after making the transition to Spire Motorsports. As the entitlement sponsor of both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity races this weekend, it’s obvious Drydene is committed to our sport. I can’t thank Drydene enough for continuing to invest in both NASCAR and my career. We’re looking to put a good run together on Sunday at the Monster Mile.”

“We’re proud that Drydene thought enough of Spire Motorsports to join Corey for another year when he signed with our team,” commented Spire Motorsports co-owner T.J. Puchyr. “We’re still a very young team and this is our first year running two cars, but we’re making gains every week. Corey has proven that he knows his way around Dover and can get the job done. We know he’ll do a good job for Drydene on Sunday.”

The Drydene 400 from Dover International Speedway will be televised live on FS1 Sunday, May 16 beginning at 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The 13th of 36 races on the 2021 NCS schedule will be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

Brown on Dover:
“I’ve had Dover circled on the calendar for quite a while now; with its intensity, speed and demanding driving style, it has quickly become one of my favorite race tracks on the circuit. For me, it really brings back the feeling of short track racing and it’s also pretty close to home, so I know that I’ll have family and friends in the stands as well as some of the Brandonbilt Foundations employees, so that’s going to be really special.

“This weekend will be the third time this season that the Brandonbilt Foundations car has been on track, but the first time in front of employees and I can’t wait for that.

“With our past performance at Dover, I feel like this could be a good opportunity for us to capitalize on stage points and really try to go for a stage win or maybe even grab the checkered flag. Really, my goal is to maximize points and get us back in playoff contentions, so hopefully we can have a smooth, consistent race and maybe even tame the Monster Mile in the process.”

On the horizon in 2021, Brandonbilt Motorsports looks to pick up where it left off as a playoff-caliber team at each event it enters. To learn more, visit bmsraceteam.com.

How to frame your case after a motorcycle accident?

Motorcycle accidents are pretty standard, and they can also be quite fatal. Therefore, a motorcyclist must know what to do in case they face a motorcycle accident. It does not matter whether you ride or are a bystander or a vehicle driver. Of course, it would help if you took necessary precautions to guard yourself against any motorcycle accident, but even careful drivers sometimes get stuck in unavoidable lawsuits.

There are some crucial steps that a motorcyclist should take after an accident

Right after the accident, you will feel nervous and stay in a state of shock for some time. First, however, you need to act tactfully and take necessary legal and medical precautions.

How to prepare yourself after a motorcycle accident?

Accidents are pretty common and happen when you least expect them. For example, it can happen when you are doing your regular chores or when you ride in a hurry to do the daily errand. It does not matter whether you are riding for a daily task; you need to drive all the time defensively, especially when you are riding a motorbike.

Consider your safety

What should you do after an accident? First, it is vital to analyze the current situation. Evaluate the injuries. Find out who is involved in an accident and try to get safety for them and yourself. You will face an adrenaline rush right after the accident but stay calm and take charge of the situation.

Call police

Instead of escaping the situation, you should call the police and inform them about the situation. Then, ask for the paramedical team to come to the site and evaluate the severity of the mishap. Finally, find out details about hiring an injury lawyer after a motorcycle accident.

Call for medical help

Even if you do not have severe injuries, it is essential to get yourself checked through a medical expert after the motorcycle accident. Sometimes you get seriously injured, but injuries are not apparent, and you tend to see symptoms much later. A motorcycle accident usually causes broken bones or severe kind of internal bleeding and damage to the rider. Therefore, a thorough medical examination after the accident becomes vital. You should take your pictures, write down the details, and keep the police report details. Talk with the other driver affected in the tragedy to exchange necessary contact and insurance information to get decent compensation from the company later.

Exchange words with an attorney and insurance company agent

Say that you have been involved in a Sacramento, California motorcycle accident (or got caught up in a similar mishap elsewhere perhaps). In that case, it would help if you spoke with a personal injury lawyer about the details of your case, as they specialize in motorcycle accidents.

They can help you get a reasonable insurance settlement. yes, it is true that insurance companies can offer you a meager settlement, but only an attorney can help you negotiate with them and get proper compensation. It would, therefore, benefit if you did not wait for the insurance company to offer you a settlement but rather go to the lawyer before speaking to your insurance agent.

Instead of communicating with them, you should send your lawyer to speak on your behalf to fetch good results out of the conversation. It is evident that accidents happen by mistake, but sometimes the cases get manipulated against you. Therefore you have to be in touch with the other driver involved in the accident, the insurance agent, and primarily with your attorney.

Therefore you have to be in touch with the other driver involved in the accident, the insurance agent, and primarily with your attorney.

People involved in a motorcycle accident can get sued for injuries and damages, and even fatalities in severe cases. Usually, a motorcycle accident is powerful and dramatic; only a reasonable attorney can help you get decent compensation without facing legal hassles because they are experts in legal technicalities.

How can a car accident attorney get you reasonable compensation?

Car accidents and vehicle accidents are prevalent these days. Ever since 2015, their number is increasing with every passing day. The causes of a collision vary from case to case. However, it has far-reaching alterations for the parties involved. It not only results in injuries but also extensive medical bills and a long-lasting impression on financial stability. In most tragic cases, the injured person is found permanently disabled. The way they have to handle their lives becomes difficult.

The recovery process is not that easy. The method of filing a claim requires considerable know-how of the judicial process. It is here that the significance of the car accident attorney in Rochester comes into the picture. Insurance companies face a vast number of claims; hence, the process is lengthy. Having a reputable attorney by your side will create a level playing field for your case.

Take a look at the tips below that can help you hire a lawyer for your case.

First and foremost, you must understand the significance of a successful claim. It is not only a financial decision but also gives you options for a wide range of benefits. For example, while hiring a car attorney, you have to take care of the following points:

•    Obtaining referrals: check for referrals while you are on the hunt for a well-known and experienced attorney. From friends, family members, co-workers, and the like, you may attain recommendations about individuals who are well respected and diligent. You may also contact bar associations of your concerned state for getting these recommendations. They maintain a record of the licensed lawyers who can help you out in this process.

•    Research: researching the law firms in your area is another considerable aspect of this process. Most of these attorneys enroll themselves in these firms. They post testimonials and other documents on their websites which these firms maintain. The legal team works in close association and provides you with an overview of your case. When you get in touch with these firms, they help you evaluate the issue and fetch the final results.

•    Meet the lawyer: After you narrow down the list, you have to meet the person privately. It has various advantages as you can consult the person and speak about the nook and corner of your case. Try to open up about every aspect so that you do not keep any stone unturned. By discussing the facts, you increase your chances of handling the claim efficiently. Try to grab information about their experience, strengths and weaknesses, history of success rate, and other resolutions.

You have to bring significant documentation while consulting the lawyer. From the paperwork to other receipts, everything is critical:

  • It helps the lawyer to get an overview and thereby prepare the report.
  • The evaluation of the consultant is crucial to come up with an effective result.
  • You may clear all your doubts and ask additional questions to have no hassle in future dealings.
  • Assessing the firm via professional networks will be beneficial for you.

If you get lawyers who are experts in different fields and have knowledge and specialization, then nothing can stop you from getting a reasonable compensation.

JR Motorsports confirmed Monday that they will appeal the penalty assessed against Noah Gragson and the No. 9 team after Saturday’s Xfinity Series Steakhouse Elite 200 race at Darlington Raceway.

During the post-race inspection of the No. 9 Chevrolet, it was determined that the team had violated Rule 20.14.c in the NASCAR Rule Book.

The rule states that “all suspension mounts and mounting hardware must not allow movement or realignment of any suspension and/or drivetrain component beyond normal rotation or suspension and/or drivetrain travel.”

Gragson was originally scored in fourth at the end of the race but after the penalty, he was relegated to a 40th place finish and stripped of the Dash 4 Cash $100,000 bonus for being the highest-finishing eligible driver.

If the penalty is upheld, Gragson, who has already won two of the four events in the program, will not be able to compete for the prize at Dover International Speedway this weekend.

WITH WIN BORST CONTINUES TO IMPRESS AS ONE OF NEW LATE MODEL FRONTRUNNERS AT SOUTH BOSTON SPEEDWAY

Jacob Borst hoists the winner’s trophy as he celebrates his win in the 100-lap NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Late Model Stock Car Division race at South Boston Speedway on May 1. South Boston, Va….Rookie Jacob Borst has been impressive this season as one of the new frontrunners in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Late Model Stock Car Division at South Boston Speedway.

The Elon, North Carolina teenager made his biggest impression of the season in earning his first career NASCAR Late Model Stock Car Division win in the 100-lap event on May 1, edging fellow Late Model Stock Car Division rookie Landon Pembelton of Amelia, Virginia for the victory.

“It’s amazing to get your first Late Model win, especially here at South Boston Speedway,” said Borst who has a win, a pole, and four top-three finishes in his six starts this season.

“We qualified seventh, and it was the first night race of the season. We knew we had a good piece for the race. We knew we just had to take our time and make our way forward. After a couple of laps, we were up in third place and just waited.”

Waiting proved to be a great strategy. Borst sped into the top spot when the race’s two frontrunners crashed while battling for the lead. Once in front, Borst held on the rest of the way to secure the win.

“It was one of those deals where you don’t really know where to go,” Borst explained.

“I just tried to get stopped as quickly as I could. I was waiting for somebody to hit me in the back. We just luckily got through it.”

Borst admitted that the first win is the hardest win to get under your belt.

“We’ve learned it’s always hardest to get the first win,” Borst remarked.

“We came into the season knowing all of these guys are so good. We were just looking to get a Top-Five finish every race. To come out here and get top-three finishes like we have done and win this early is just crazy.”

Borst is looking to return to South Boston Speedway and is hoping to add to his win total when “America’s Hometown Track” hosts First Responders Night at the Races on Saturday night, May 15 featuring free admission for all police, fire and EMS with ID and a pre-race parade lap featuring area EMS vehicles.

Saturday night’s six-race card will be headlined by twin 75-lap races for the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Late Model Stock Car Division. A 50-lap race for the Limited Sportsman Division, twin 15-lap races for the Budweiser Pure Stock Division and a 15-lap race for the Budweiser Hornets Division are included in the night’s action.

Saturday’s race day schedule has registration and pit gates opening at 2 p.m. Practice starts at 4 p.m. and grandstand gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Qualifying begins at 6 p.m. and the first race will get the green flag at 7 p.m.

Advance adult general admission tickets for Saturday night’s event are priced at $10 each and may be purchased online on South Boston Speedway’s website, www.southbostonspeedway.com, through Friday night, May 14. Adult general admission tickets at the gate on race day are priced at $15 each. Kids ages 12 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Saturday night’s event will be livestreamed at SoBoSpeedway.tv, a service by SpeedSport, a leader in grassroots racing news and streaming. This weekend’s event as well as all of South Boston Speedway’s remaining NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series events will be streamed on a pay-per-view basis with a low price of $19.99 per event. Fans can go to SoBoSpeedway.tv or SouthBostonSpeedway.com to get started. Individuals can also go back and watch a full event at a later date for a special price.

South Boston Speedway will continue to follow COVID-19 mitigation mandates set forth by the federal government and the Commonwealth of Virginia during Saturday night’s event. Masks will be required for fans entering the speedway. Social distancing and additional mitigation measures will also be followed.

The latest news and updates about South Boston Speedway and its racing events can be found on the South Boston Speedway website and through the speedway’s social media channels.

Era Motorsport Continues ELMS Championship Effort at Red Bull Ring

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (April 10, 2021) – While the DPi, LMP3, and GTD classes of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship head to Mid-Ohio SportsCar Course for the third race of the 2021 season, LMP2 team Era Motorsport will spend their “off” weekend in Spielberg, Austria for the next round of the European Le Mans Series, the 4 Hours of Red Bull Ring.

The Indianapolis, Indiana-based sports car racing team joined the European Le Mans Series with IDEC Sport Racing last month, after winning the Rolex 24 At Daytona in January, and the Asian Le Mans Series championship in February. The team, with drivers Kyle Tilley, Dwight Merriman, and Ryan Dalziel earned a fourth-place finish at their debut at the 4 Hours of Barcelona in April.

“We’re hoping to improve upon our fourth-place finish at Barcelona,” said Team Owner and driver Kyle Tilley. “The current weather forecast for Austria suits us in that we had a great test last week and made some big dry weather gains with the car. It’s also a new track for us, so it’s going to be a bit of a learning curve, but we’re confident heading into the event!”

Spielberg’s Red Bull Ring will be a new track for all three drivers, boasting 10 turns in 2.683 miles. The team recently completed a test at Watkins Glen International in preparation for the event, as well as June and July’s back-to-back IMSA WeatherTech races.

“Our Watkins Glen test was very productive,” said driver Dwight Merriman. “We were able to get plenty of track time and really dial in the various setup changes that will help us throughout the season. I’m looking forward to learning another new track, in the ELMS. This series has been a great learning experience and I’m really enjoying the atmosphere and competition.”

A total of 41 cars will compete in the 4 Hours of Red Bull Ring, with the LPM2 class holding 16 entries, including the No. 17 IDEC Sport Oreca 07 with Tilley, Dalziel, and Merriman. The group will compete in the new Pro/Am category within the LMP2 class, in a group of seven cars.

“We learned a lot in Spain that we can take forward to Austria,” said Dalziel. “ELMS is so different to IMSA that it was for sure an eye-opening experience with some very challenging weather, so we are hoping for a smoother and calmer Red Bull Ring race. We had a really good test back in the USA at Watkins Glen recently and I think we learned a few things that will help ourselves and IDEC for Austria. It’s another new track for all three of the Era drivers, so we’re looking forward to another new challenge.”

The first practice will take place on Friday, May 14, followed by additional practice and qualifying on Saturday. The 4 Hours of Red Bull ring will begin on Sunday, May 16 at 11:00AM CEST, and will air live on the ELMS YouTube channel, accompanied by comprehensive coverage from Radio Le Mans.

Young’s Motorsports adds Connor Mosack to ARCA lineup

MOORESVILLE, N.C.: Young’s Motorsports announced today that Late Model standout Connor Mosack has joined the organization’s ARCA Menards Series program with his debut set for Dover (Del.) International Speedway on Fri., May 14, 2021.

A native of Charlotte, N.C., Mosack is adding races to an already busy schedule. In addition to ARCA, he is also competing full-time in the Pirelli Trans Am Series for Team SLR. Off the track, the 22-year-old is a senior at High Point University on a presidential scholarship with a focus on entrepreneurship.

Expanding his racing resume, Mosack will pair with veteran crew chief Eddie Troconis for a limited schedule in 2021.

“I am really excited about this opportunity to join Young’s Motorsports and make my ARCA Menards Series East debut at Dover,” said Mosack. “Tyler (Young, team principal) and the team build fast cars and I’m looking forward to working with the whole team.

“Dover is a pretty wild race track and should be a lot of fun. It’s also a tough place to get around and making my first ARCA start there will be tough, but I know I will gain a lot of valuable experience running there.”

Mosack’s racing career began in 2017 in the INEX U.S. Legend Car ranks. Entering his first full season in 2018, the young driver needed just four races to earn his first victory, taking the fourth of five events in the 2018 Winter Nationals at Citrus County (Fla.) Speedway.

Racing in the Semi-Pro and Open Divisions, Mosack competed at Concord (N.C.) Speedway, the Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway among other events. In 42 starts, Mosack earned 20 victories, 34 top-five and 37 top-10 finishes. Among those was a sweep of the National events at Las Vegas, including the Road Course World Finals and Asphalt Nationals.

In 2019, Mosack joined JR Motorsports to compete in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour Series and competed for the championship in 2020. In 10 starts, he earned three top-five, eight top-10s and finished sixth in the championship standings. With an average finish of 8.5, Mosack also earned Rookie of the Year Honors.

He is also a veteran of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway.

Behind the scenes, Mosack is also a leader in his community. He organized a fundraiser for ContainIt, a student-led initiative that takes used shipping containers and turns them into transitional housing units. In its first year with Covenant Day School, it raised over $50,000. He is also involved with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation supporting kids with pediatric cancer.

“We are very proud to expand our ARCA Menards Series platform with the addition of Connor,” added Young. “He is a talented and experienced driver with a diverse background. Dover is a tough track but with the leadership of Eddie and Connor’s determination and positive outlook, we should be able to conquer the Monster Mile and our other races together easily.’

Details surrounding Mosack’s full race schedule and sponsorship lineup will be announced at a later date.
