Fanaply and JTG Daugherty Racing Continue Innovative Digital Collectible Partnership

Bringing digital collectible trading cards to race fans everywhere!

HARRISBURG, N.C., February 12, 2021 – Today JTG Daugherty Racing announced an extension of its partnership with Fanaply – the leading digital collectibles marketplace – as its Official Digital Collectibles Partner to create limited-edition digital collectibles for their drivers commemorating each race of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season. The first digital collectibles featuring JTG Daugherty Racing drivers Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Ryan Preece launched today for fans just in time for the Daytona 500 and will be available via Fanaply’s website at:

https://fanaply.com/category/ricky-stenhouse-jr

“We are always looking for new and innovative ways to build engagement with our fans,” Tad Geschickter, JTG Daugherty Racing team owner said. “We miss seeing our fans at the race track. Having Fanaply create digital collectibles of our drivers Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Ryan Preece is another great way for us to stay connected safely with our fan base and build excitement as we kick off our 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.”

Each weekend of the race season, fans will have the opportunity to collect a limited-edition digital trading card from both car No. 47 of Ricky Stenhouse Jr, and car No. 37 of Ryan Preece.

Once fans claim each exclusive collectible, they can add them to their Google Pay or Apple Wallet for use at future live events, share the collectible on their social media channels with friends and family, and potentially earn perks and rewards in the future.

“We do miss seeing our fans and hope this provides another safe way to engage with them until everyone is back at the race track,” Stenhouse said. “And, Fanaply is known for capturing cool moments with these digital collectibles and that’s exciting to me to be able to provide that to our fans.”

“I agree with Ricky,” Preece said. “They are limited-edition and that’s one of the things that makes them special because once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.’”

To expand, Fanaply’s non-fungible-tokens (NFTs) offer fans a way to build a collection around the drivers, events, and moments they are passionate about. Their blockchain-based technology ensures digital scarcity and gives fans true digital ownership over each collectible within their collection.

“JTG Daugherty Racing, its leadership and their amazing drivers are the perfect partner to launch our NFT’s with,” Grant Dexter, CEO of Fanaply, said. “As we expand from music into sports and entertainment, partnering with a team who are hyper focused on creating new value, engagement and interactivity for their fans was crucial to us. And having amazing sponsors who are a fundamental part of the overall experience to help enable those opportunities for the fans is exciting. We’re thrilled to be working with Tad and his amazing team.”

Jamie McMurray unveils DAYTONA 500 Grand Marshal SUV honoring AdventHealth employees’ work during pandemic

The vehicle features signatures from 3,000 AdventHealth team members from across the nation.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Feb. 12, 2021 – Team members at AdventHealth Daytona Beach got a sneak peek of a new DAYTONA 500 Grand Marshal SUV painted in their honor when Jamie McMurray, who won the DAYTONA 500 in 2010, drove the Chevy Blazer to the hospital Friday morning.

“It’s so meaningful to be able to come out here and honor these workers who have spent day after day tirelessly caring for patients during this pandemic,” said McMurray, who will also drive the No. 77 AdventHealth car in Sunday’s DAYTONA 500.

The Grand Marshal SUV, which will lead the field around the track at the start of Sunday’s race, features more than 3,000 signatures submitted by AdventHealth employees across the organization, which has more than 50 hospitals in 10 states.

Ed Noseworthy, CEO for AdventHealth Daytona Beach, said McMurray’s visit provided a welcome boost for the staff.

“We owe much gratitude to our team members who have been caring for so many patients while working through their own challenges,” Noseworthy said. “It was great to see smiles on the faces of people who have worked so hard to help others heal during the pandemic.”

McMurray first partnered with AdventHealth in 2016, and this year will add a new element to the relationship: He will wear an AdventHealth heart rate monitor during the race to give viewers a different perspective on the stresses of racing. The monitor will be visible through an in-car camera.

Chief Strategy Officer David Banks said AdventHealth’s NASCAR partnerships, including its collaboration on the Human Innovation and Development Lab (HIDL) at Chip Ganassi Racing, contributes benefits that extend beyond the world of racing.

“Not everyone can be an elite athlete and perform on racing’s biggest stage, but everyone can improve their health and wellbeing,” Banks said. “We’re learning a great deal about human performance, and those lessons can help us better provide world-class, whole-person care.”

February is American Heart Month, and McMurray and AdventHealth aim to showcase the importance of cardiac health awareness. This year also happens to be the first time the DAYTONA 500 has fallen on Valentine’s Day since 2010, when McMurray won the race.

Tickets for DAYTONA Speedweeks Presented By AdventHealth events, excluding the DAYTONA 500, are still available as children 12 and under are FREE in the 100 level seating and $10 in all other reserved seating. Full of Energy: Bucked Up Energy and its sister products will continue its role as the primary partner of Graf’s No. 07 Chevrolet Camaro to kick off the 2021 Xfinity Series season. Daytona InternatSS GreenLight Racing | Joe Graf Jr. Daytona Event Previewional Speedway is the first race of 2021 but is the 23rd race overall in a multi-year, multi-race deal with the former ARCA Menards Series winner.

Bucked Up is the everyman (or woman) energy drink. We don’t care about the color of your collar; whether blue or white, we all require energy to power our days. We want something that tastes like success, enhances mood and focus, and most of all delivers long-lasting energy.

Joe Graf Jr. Xfinity Series Daytona International Speedway Starts: Joe Graf Jr. will make his fourth career start at the “World Center of Racing” in Saturday afternoon’s race.

In July 2019, Graf Jr. made his Xfinity Series debut at Daytona driving for Richard Childress Racing, qualifying a then career-best sixth. He was collected in a late-race crash and finished 23rd.

Graf Jr. made his SS GreenLight Racing debut at the 2.5-mile superspeedway in February 2020 qualifying a career-best fifth but was swept into a mid-race accident, finishing 36th.

In August, Graf Jr. started 22nd but was collected in an early race incident and left with a disappointing 37th place finish.

He holds a career-best 11.0 average starting position at Daytona.

Joe Graf Jr. Xfinity Series Career Superspeedway Nuggets: In five career NASCAR Xfinity Series Superspeedway races, has completed 308 of the 546 laps available. He holds an average starting position of 16.2 and an average result of 32nd with a best finish of 23rd at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in July 2019.

Joe Graf Jr. ARCA Menards Series Career Superspeedway Nuggets: In three career ARCA superspeedway track races, Graf Jr. has two top-10 finishes. He has been running at the finish of all three races. He holds an average starting position of 15.3 and an average result of 11th with three (3) laps led.

In 2018, Graf Jr. was involved in the closest finish in ARCA Menards Series history at Talladega Superspeedway in a photo finish.

The margin was so narrow in the 69-year history of the series, it was a statistical dead heat, the margin of victory on the computerized scoring monitors showing 0.000 seconds. Only a video replay and the photo finish camera were able to determine Graf finished second by a matter of millimeters.

New Year, New Number and New Paint: It’s a sophomore season full of new! To kick off his second season of competition at SS GreenLight Racing, Joe Graf Jr. will drive the No. 07 Bucked Up Energy Chevrolet Camaro with a new sophisticated updated livery.

Welcome To The Team: On Thursday afternoon, Joe Graf Jr. officially announced Buffalo Bills running back Antonio Williams as an investor in his racing program this season.

Williams, 23, will be heavily involved in Graf’s day-to-day business interactions, while also playing a key role as a supporter of his racing endeavors by attending races, including this weekend’s season-opener at Daytona.

Together, the two are focused on Graf reaching the pinnacle of the sport, the NASCAR Cup Series in the near future.

Put Me In Coach: In an effort to strengthen his physique, Joe Graf Jr. began working with new trainer and former NASCAR Cup Series Josh Wise during the offseason.

In addition to Wise, Graf has also been working with former NASCAR driver and open-wheel driver Scott Speed on being more discipline behind the wheel of his No. 07 Bucked Up Energy Chevrolet Camaro.

Sneaker Mania: Along with the adrenaline of Motorsports competition, Joe Graf Jr. also has a vogue for hype sneakers. In his current collection, he owns and wears at least 80 limited edition sneakers – and his collection continues to grow every month.

From the Pit Box: Industry veteran Mike Tyska is Joe Graf Jr.’s crew chief.

He will crew chief his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race as crew chief on Saturday afternoon.

Tyska joins SS GreenLight Racing after honing his skills in all three of NASCAR’s national divisions and working for teams like Germain Racing, GMS Racing and Rick Ware Racing.

Tyska was apart of Todd Bodine’s 2006 championship season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Germain Racing.

Hello From The Other Side: Graf Jr. has a teammate at SS GreenLight Racing. Veteran Cody Ware will drive the No. 17 SS GreenLight Racing Chevrolet on Saturday afternoon.

Ware, a veteran racer is poised to make his 22nd career NASCAR Xfinity Series start, but first at the 2.5-mile superspeedway of Daytona.

Joe Graf Jr. Pre-Race Quotes:

On Daytona International Speedway: “I’m always excited to get back to racing, especially at a special place like Daytona International Speedway. Bobby (Dotter) and the SS GreenLight Racing team has always brought me fast race cars to these type of race tracks, but unfortunately, luck hasn’t been on side.

“However, it’s a new year and we’re rejuvenated to get the year going and start the year off with a strong finish.”

On Antonio Williams: “I’m so excited to work with Antonio. Not only is he a NASCAR fan, but he has quickly went to work behind the scenes as an investor and partner in my racing platform and is eager to expand his responsibilities as the season gets underway.

“He has a lot of fresh and unique ideas, as well as a huge following and relationships he plans to bring to NASCAR. He’s someone who is determined to give nothing less than 150 percent in his role and make a difference both on and off the race track. We are going to have a lot of fun intertwining our two worlds.”

On 2021 Outlook: I’m really hopeful for a good sophomore season with SS GreenLight Racing. The entire team has worked hard during the offseason and I’m eager to work with my new crew chief Mike Tyska and have some success with him.

“It’s a long season but I’m ready for it. We have a lot of great things going on behind the scenes that I believe is certainly going to make this a year to remember.”

Newman Finishes Third in Duel, Buescher 10th in Advance of Sunday’s Daytona 500

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 12, 2021) – Thursday night’s twin Duels at Daytona provided plenty of action in both events, with Ryan Newman powering to a third-place run in the opening race and Chris Buescher navigating two different incidents to finish 10th in the second contest.

Newman started 12th in his 60-lap qualifying event and patiently maneuvered his way through the field, advancing up to third just 15 laps in. The only pit stop of the race would come at lap 34, when he and the field hit pit road under green for fuel only. The 22-car field eventually cycled back through and grouped back up for the closing laps.

The 2008 Daytona 500 Champion shifted his way through traffic in the final lap, ultimately driving to a third-place run. With the finish, he will start seventh in his 20th Daytona 500 on Sunday. It marks his second-straight 500 to start seventh, and third overall, with four career starts inside the top-10 for ‘The Great American Race.’

After a lengthy rain delay in between races, Buescher began his 60-lap Duel from the 15th position, and had to avoid two separate incidents that sent several competitors to backup cars. Halfway through the race a multi-car incident occurred on the back straightaway just before teams were getting set to pit under green, ultimately bringing the field down under yellow for service.

With no further issues, Buescher restarted 12th with 20 laps go to. The race remained green until four laps remaining, when another incident sent the race into NASCAR Overtime, where he crossed the line 10th.

The Prosper, Texas native will make his sixth start in the Daytona 500 on Sunday, and roll off the grid 22nd.

The only on-track activity standing between teams and the Daytona 500 are a pair of practice sessions, which are slated for Saturday morning. Sunday’s big race is set for 2:30 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90.

Helio Castroneves to Run Music City Grand Prix with Transcard

The Music City Grand Prix will be Castroneves’ second of six IndyCar races with Meyer Shank Racing

Pataskala, Ohio (12 February 2021) – Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) NTT INDYCAR Series driver Helio Castroneves will aim to add to his record of street racing success this August as he looks forward to racing in the inaugural Music City Grand Prix on the streets of Nashville.

Transcard (https://www.transcard.com) will partner with Meyer Shank Racing and utilize Castroneves as part of a focused marketing program surrounding the event weekend.

Castroneves is slated to compete in six NTT INDYCAR Series races with MSR this season onboard the No. 06 MSR Honda IndyCar, starting with the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 in May. Castroneves will return to action for MSR in the Music City Grand Prix (August 8), the August Indianapolis Motor Speedway event (Aug. 14), the Grand Prix of Portland (Sept. 12), WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (Sept. 19) and the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach (Sept. 26).

Transcard will use its partnership with Meyer Shank Racing during the Nashville event to actively market the company’s position as a leading global provider of solutions that help businesses, consumers, banks, and financial technology providers accelerate payments and related data.

Helio Castroneves and Meyer Shank Racing will also visit Transcard’s headquarters in Chattanooga, TN, prior to the Music City Grand Prix.

The Music City Grand Prix is expected to be one of the largest events on the IndyCar calendar. The new 2.17-mile street circuit features the first-ever motorsports course to cross a major body of water as competitors will race race across 553 yards of the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge. The event is expected to deliver a wide range of entertainment beyond the racing, making for a three-day celebration of music, food and fan culture that is unique to Nashville.

“We’re very excited to have Transcard come onboard for the Music City Grand Prix,” said MSR co-owner Mike Shank. “The race in Nashville will hands down be one of the biggest races that we compete in this year. The event itself will give us a big platform to represent Transcard well and in front of a very large audience of people. The race will be Helio’s second one with us. Hopefully we will be coming off of a big and successful month of May so that we can move into Nashville with some momentum.”

“Transcard is pleased to partner with Meyer Shank Racing and NTT INDYCAR Series driver Helio Castroneves during the Music City Grand Prix,” said Transcard President Chris Fuller. “As a Chattanooga-based company, it means a lot to be a part of this inaugural event in Nashville. The attributes of a great NTT INDYCAR Series driver like Helio – speed, control and strong results – are what Transcard brings to every transaction, whether it’s for a business, consumer, bank or technology provider. By partnering with Meyer Shank Racing and Helio Castroneves, we hope to introduce Transcard to those looking for those attributes in their payments.”

“I’m so excited to be racing in Nashville,” said Castroneves. “It will be the first street course that I’ve competed on since 2017, but I really love street courses. They bring a certain type of excitement that not many other tracks can do. And I couldn’t be happier to do this with Transcard on the No. 06. The Meyer Shank Racing crew and I will do everything to get the Transcard Honda on the top of the podium at the end of the weekend.”

The Music City Grand Prix will be a three-day fan-centric event to combine music, food and racing on August 6-8, 2021.

Codie Rohrbaugh, CR7 Motorsports on a mission at Daytona

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.: A new season is upon Codie Rohrbaugh and the CR7 Motorsports team and they are prepared to tackle the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season with the same mentality as 2020.

And that mentality worked to the team’s benefits on several occasions including last February’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

Despite an innocent mid-race spin, Rohrbaugh was able to draft his No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet back through the field and earned a career-best third-place finish in his Truck Series debut at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.

In the most recent superspeedway race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway last October, Rohrbaugh, 27, flew under the radar for much of the race but during a late-race restart, the former ARCA Menards Series competitor made his move and hustled to a fifth-place result.

With two top-five finishes in his most recent superspeedway races, Rohrbaugh, a native of Petersburg, West Virginia and his Doug George-led team return to the “World Center of Racing” hoping to produce more of that same magic and kick off their 2021 season with momentum on their side.

“I’ve been ready for a while,” said Rohrbaugh. “I can’t wait to get to Daytona this week and back behind the wheel of our No. 9 Grant County Mulch Chevrolet and charge for another top-five finish – if not a win.

“I’m really proud of Doug (George, crew chief) and the rest of the CR7 Motorsports team for building such a sound and fast Chevrolet Silverado. It certainly makes my job easier. Hopefully, luck continues to be on our side, and we can leave Daytona Friday night with the same smiles we had a year ago.”

The CR7 Motorsports team will also race in honor of their general manager Mark Huff who passed away last week after a brief illness.

“There is a huge void left by the passing of Mark Huff,” added Rohrbaugh. “He wasn’t just a friend or a worker, he was family. He will be deeply missed and we will race in his honor not only at Daytona but all year.”

Planning to compete in most of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races this year, Rohrbaugh hopes to avoid the string of midseason blues and keep his Statesville, N.C.-based team on the radar for their on-track performances and determination.
“We learned a lot as a team through a pandemic and all,” added Rohrbaugh. “We had some ups, and we had some downs, but we still grew as a team and that’s the biggest positive. We strive to be better with each race we run.

“We know what we need to do to go fast at certain tracks and have work to do at others. Our team will put forth the effort, we just need everything to come together from luck to equipment and even the driver not making any mistakes. When we did that last year, we had some pretty good days.”

When it comes to the plan for Friday night’s race at Daytona, Rohrbaugh admits that their plan usually goes out the window within the first couple of laps of the race.

“You always like to have a game plan, but it just never seems to work out for us,” sounded Rohrbaugh. “It sounds good on paper and in our heads but once you throw that green flag – things change in a hurry, especially at Daytona. “We will try to stick to the plan at hand, but we also know that it can be unscripted within seconds.

“We know though – if we’re going to have a chance to contend for a good finish, we have to be around when the checkered flag is waving. That’s our goal, a repeat of 2020 – if not better.”

It’s a busy weekend at Daytona for CR7 Motorsports. In addition to Friday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, the organization will field an ARCA Menards Series entry for Saturday afternoon’s Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire with Jason Kitzmiller behind the wheel.

Rohrbaugh competed in three ARCA Menards Series races at Daytona with a best finish of seventh in the 2019 edition.

CR7 Motorsports has 28 NGOTS starts to their credit with a career-best finish of third at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (February 2020). Additionally, the team owns three other top-10 finishes at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (fifth) in October 2020, Richmond (Va.) Raceway (sixth) in September 2020 and Martinsville (Va.) Speedway (10th) in October 2019. An 11th place qualifying effort at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (Oct. 2019) is the team’s best time trials effort to date.

In 20 career ARCA starts, Rohrbaugh has a best finish of seventh twice at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway (July 2018 and Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (February 2019). He has qualified a career-best fourth on four different occasions most recently at Kansas Speedway (Oct. 2018).

Jason Kitzmiller upbeat for Daytona return

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.: CR7 Motorsports’ Jason Kitzmiller is back and ready to build on an impressive 2020 ARCA Menards Series season beginning with Saturday afternoon’s Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

With the guidance of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver and former ARCA competitor Codie Rohrbaugh, Kitzmiller burst onto the tour, impressing with three top-10 finishes and six top-14 finishes in seven races overall.

Kitzmiller’s ARCA debut last February at Daytona was spoiled by engine failure 11 laps into the 80-lap event leaving redemption on the table in his eighth career ARCA Menards Series start.

“Obviously, we didn’t have the finish we were hoping for last year, but that is unfortunately just part of the game,” said Kitzmiller. “

“However, I feel like as a team we have come a long way in 12 months, and I feel redemption is our friend this weekend.”

The Petersburg, WV native will make his third superspeedway start at the “World Center of Racing” and returns to Daytona after drafting to an eighth-place finish at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway last June, a career-best result.

“I learned so much last June that can be easily applied to Daytona,” added Kitzmiller. “I’ve been able to surround myself with a group of great people whether in the garage or up on top spotting and all that adds to the components of making it a successful race or even weekend.

“You may not always get the result you are hoping for, but for us, it’s about having fun with our No. 97 A.L.L. Construction | Grant County Mulch Chevrolet and that fun factor includes this weekend at Daytona.”

As much as the mojo is a light-hearted, laidback and fun atmosphere, once the headsets go on and Kitzmiller straps behind the wheel of his race car, business becomes the priority. The CR7 Motorsports showed that during open ARCA Menards Series testing last month at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.

“Our goal wasn’t about going out there and putting up a big number, it was about making sure our No. 97 A.L.L. Construction | Grant County Mulch Chevrolet was handling the best it could whether in the draft or by ourselves.

“I know talking to Codie (Rohrbaugh) and others on our team, a good handling car will equal a fast race car, so that is what we focused on. We’ll make some tweaks on Friday during practice and then just hope we put up a good lap in qualifying and let the race play out.

“We don’t necessarily have a strategy at this point, we’ll just see how the race unfolds. If we’re in a position to stay near the front, we’ll stay there. If it looks a little dicey, we might hang back a little, we just have to wait and see how it all flows.”

A goal for Saturday?

Easy.

“A top-10 would be fabulous, a top-five would be a win and a win would be a jackpot,” sounded Kitzmiller. “If we can’t do that though, as long as we had fun and learned something for the next race then we’ll chalk it up to a successful weekend and get ready for the next race.”

Kitzmiller and CR7 Motorsports will run a partial ARCA schedule in 2021 with a firm schedule announced soon.

Kitzmiller will also adorn a decal remembering CR7 Motorsports general manager Mark Huff who passed away last week after a brief illness. Huff was responsible for helping revive the ARCA Menards Series team in 2020.

“I will always Mark for his carrying of people on this CR7 Motorsports team and his enormous work ethic. He did a lot for the team and is irreplaceable. We will race to win in his honor on Saturday afternoon.”

Who Is Going To Win Daytona 500 This Sunday

Photo by Patrick Sue-Chan for SpeedwayMedia.com.

After a long wait for this event, which is quite easily the biggest event in the speedway circuit each year, it’s finally here and we cannot wait to watch the Daytona 500 this weekend. This race has been going on since 1959 and the annual event is where we see 200 laps of grueling racing and this Sunday shall be no different and below we look at who the favorites are to win the Dayton 500.

A big favorite going into the race to attempt to beat the other 42 drivers in the race is two-time defending champion Denny Hamlin who is currently priced at 15/2 to win Daytona 500 come Sunday. Hamlin is quite familiar with this race due to him being a four-time winner of the Daytona 500 in the past and will be looking to add to his collection and something that we certainly think is possible.

Whilst we wait for the Daytona 500 to start on Sunday, many racing punters have been migrating over to online casinos which can be found here to ensure that they are still able to produce a profit from the comfort of their home. These casinos are offering some of the best promotional deals on the internet to enhance the casino experience all tied in with the fact that your gambling will never be stopped by gamstop.

One of the biggest tests that Hamlin is going to have to overcome on Sunday if he is going to win is Chase Elliot who is the second favorite priced at 17/2 and he will certainly believe that he is in with a chance this Sunday.  Elliot is the current defending Cup Series Champions and will be looking to add the Daytona 500 to his trophy collection.

If we are looking to some outsiders for the race, then Kyle Busch might be your choice as many high-profile tipsters are saying that this might be Busch’s time to shine. Currently priced at 12/1, he is a two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion and knows this circuit very well as he won on this track back in 2008 at the Coke Zero 400.

And finally, what about another outside punt then Kevin Harvick might be the best bet for you as he is currently priced at 11/1 and that price seems to post a lot of value having won nine times in his career and he has always been there or thereabouts – is this Harvick’s time?
