What Do When You Face a Car Lockout at a Race Event

Attending a thrilling race event is an experience like no other—roaring engines, cheering crowds, and the electrifying atmosphere. But amidst all the excitement, one small mistake can turn a perfect day into a stressful ordeal: getting locked out of your car.

Whether you misplaced your keys, left them inside the vehicle, or encountered a key malfunction, a car lockout at a crowded motorsports event can be overwhelming. With thousands of fans, packed parking lots, and limited assistance on-site, it’s crucial to know exactly how to handle the situation.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through a step-by-step plan to regain access to your vehicle quickly and safely, plus essential preventive measures to avoid lockouts in the first place.

Step-by-Step Guide to Handling a Car Lockout at a Race Event

1. Stay Calm and Assess the Situation

Before panicking, take a deep breath and evaluate your circumstances:
Check for alternate entry points – Are any doors or the trunk unlocked?
Look through the windows – Can you see your keys inside?
Determine your surroundings – Are you in a safe, well-lit area?

If you’re in a secluded or dimly lit section of the parking lot, move to a safer location while figuring out your next steps.

2. Retrace Your Steps

If you’re unsure where your keys are, think back to your last actions:
✔ Did you drop them while entering the stadium?
✔ Did you leave them at a concession stand or in a restroom?
✔ Could they have fallen between the seats of your vehicle?

Check your pockets, bags, and any areas you’ve visited. If you were with friends, ask if they’ve seen your keys.

3. Use a Spare Key (If Available)

Some drivers carry a spare key in their wallets or leave one with a trusted friend or family member. If you planned ahead and have an extra key, now is the time to use it.

For those with keyless entry systems, check if you can unlock the car remotely through a mobile app. Many modern vehicles, especially from brands like Ford, Tesla, and BMW, offer digital unlocking features.

4. Seek Assistance from Event Staff or Security

Race venues often have security personnel or event staff stationed in the parking areas. They may:
✔ Have access to lost-and-found services if someone turned in your keys.
✔ Provide contact information for local roadside assistance.
✔ Help ensure your safety while waiting for help.

5. Contact a Reliable Lockout Service

If you can’t find your keys or access your vehicle, the next step is to call a professional car lockout service. Avoid attempting DIY entry methods like coat hangers or slim jims, as these can cause damage to your vehicle’s locking mechanism or trigger the alarm system.

A reputable locksmith or emergency lockout service can:
✔ Arrive quickly and safely unlock your car.
✔ Help retrieve keys locked inside the vehicle.
✔ Provide key replacement or reprogramming if necessary.

If you ever find yourself stranded due to a lockout, KeyZoo Locksmiths offers fast and efficient solutions to get you back on the road without the stress of long delays.

6. Wait Safely While Help Arrives

While waiting, ensure your safety:
✔ Stay near well-lit areas, preferably close to security or main entrances.
✔ Keep your phone charged and let someone know your situation.
✔ Avoid leaving valuables visible inside your vehicle.

Once assistance arrives, confirm their credentials before allowing them to work on your vehicle. A trustworthy service provider will have proper identification and the necessary tools to unlock your car without damage.

How to Prevent a Car Lockout at a Race Event

1. Carry a Spare Key

✔ Keep a duplicate key in your wallet or with a trusted companion.
✔ Use a magnetic key holder hidden underneath your car (but in a discreet, secure location).

2. Use Smart Key Features

✔ Enable digital key access via your car manufacturer’s app.
✔ Set up keyless entry codes if your car supports them.

3. Establish a Key Routine

✔ Always double-check you have your keys before locking the car.
✔ Designate a specific pocket or compartment for your keys.
✔ Use a keychain tracker like Tile or Apple AirTag to locate lost keys quickly.

4. Be Cautious with Automatic Locking

✔ Some vehicles automatically lock when the doors shut—ensure you have your keys in hand before closing the door.
✔ Disable automatic locking features if they frequently cause issues.

5. Park Strategically

✔ Choose a well-lit, high-traffic area for parking.
✔ Take a quick photo of your parking location to help you navigate back easily.

Final Thoughts

Getting locked out of your car at a race event can be frustrating, but staying calm and following the right steps can make the situation much easier to handle. By being prepared, knowing who to call, and taking proactive measures to prevent lockouts, you can focus on what truly matters—enjoying the race.

If you ever find yourself in a lockout situation, professional assistance is just a call away. Whether you need emergency help or long-term preventive solutions, having a plan ensures you never miss a moment of the action. Stay safe, stay prepared, and enjoy your time at the track!

Kyle Larson seeking Trifecta during Food City 500 weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway

Kyle Larson will attempt to do what only Kyle Busch has done (twice) in NASCAR history and that's sweep a tripleheader weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. Busch did it in 2010 and 2017, both Night Race weekends. Larson is the first to attempt it in a Bristol spring race weekend.

BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 13, 2025) – Kyle Larson will try to do what only one other driver in the NASCAR Cup Series has accomplished in Bristol Motor Speedway history when the circuit arrives for the Food City 500 weekend, April 11-13.

Ironically, the other driver’s name is also Kyle.

Larson is entered in all three of NASCAR’s major races during the Bristol weekend as the California driver seeks to claim the highly-elusive triple. Only Kyle Busch has achieved that quest in NASCAR history, first in 2010 and then once again in 2017, both at Bristol Motor Speedway. NASCAR legend Darrell Waltrip, a 12-time winner at BMS, says the accomplishment is one of the greatest thing he’s ever seen a NASCAR driver do.

“I never in my life thought someone could win three races in a weekend at Bristol, but Kyle Busch has,” Waltrip has said. “I don’t know how he physically does it because all those laps in one weekend don’t appear to affect him all that much. Kyle stays up on the wheel and gets the job done.”

For those who are counting, Larson will need to complete 1,050 laps over the three races and compete against the greatest stock car racers in the world on one of the most challenging tracks to get the job done.

In January, Larson said Bristol Motor Speedway is his favorite track.

“To me, it’s the closest style to a dirt sprint car race, although it’s a lot longer,” Larson said. “Just the intensity, the aggression, the fast-paced style of that race I’m comfortable with. I just love that track. I look forward to going there. I love having two races again on the concrete. So yeah, Bristol has been a place where I’ve led tons of laps at before and won a lot of stages but have kind of fallen off at the ends of the races. But since joining Hendrick (Motorsports), we’ve been good all race long and that was fun to dominate that race (last) year.”

Larson will open the weekend on Friday, April 11 with the WEATHER GUARD Truck Race in the NASCAR Craftsman Series. Larson will pilot the No. 07 HENDRICKCARS.COM Chevy Silverado in that 250-lap race that takes the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Prior to that race, Larson’s only truck start at Bristol came in the 2021 Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt.

On Saturday, April 12, Larson will climb aboard the No. 17 HENDRICKCARS.COM Camaro to take on the NASCAR Xfinity Series regulars at 5 p.m. in the SciAps 300. Larson has won one Xfinity series race at Bristol in his career, the 2018 Food City 300.

He will then pilot his famed No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy in the Food City 500 on Sunday, April 13 at 3 p.m. Larson has two Cup victories to his credit at BMS – both in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race. This past September Larson was dominant in that race, and led an amazing 462 laps to win the race in record time. That effort broke a record for fastest race time at BMS held by the late Charlie Glotzbatch in 1971.

“I love racing at Bristol, so I am excited to add those races to my schedule,” Larson said. “Hopefully we can put on a great show with HENDRICKCARS.COM on board, and battle for the victories.”

A win in the WEATHER GUARD Truck Race also would put Larson in some elite company. He would join six drivers who have won Bristol races in all three of NASCAR’s major touring series. Those drivers include Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch and Joey Logano.

“He is such a natural talent and one of the most popular drivers in the Cup Series, so we are thrilled to see him go for the trifecta at Bristol,” said Jerry Caldwell, president and general manager of Bristol Motor Speedway. “Who knows what will happen, but he clearly has the skills and talent to do it. We love seeing drivers take on the high banks in different cars and different series. He has certainly proved he knows his way around the track and that he can win in anything, so it will be fun and exciting for everyone to watch him and all the other drivers compete during races throughout the Food City 500 weekend.”

The highly-anticipated weekend opens with the WEATHER GUARD Truck Race, a 250-lap race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series under the lights on Friday, April 11 (7:30 p.m., FS1 and PRN Radio), and continues Saturday afternoon on April 12 with the SciAps 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race (5 p.m., The CW, PRN Radio). Bush’s Beans Practice and Bush’s Beans Qualifying will be held for all three series both Friday and Saturday. The weekend culminates Sunday afternoon with the running of the historic Food City 500 NASCAR Cup Series race (April 13, 3 p.m., FS1 and PRN Radio).

In addition to cheering on their favorite drivers on the track, Bristol Motor Speedway fans will definitely want to take advantage of so many activities to make a complete weekend of family fun. There will be great video entertainment provided by Colossus TV, the world’s largest center-hung video screen, premium VIP experiences, tailgating, on-site camping, concerts and other entertainment at the Food City Fan Zone Stage headlined by Trackside Live with Kenny Wallace and John Roberts, great food and beverages in the concession stands throughout the property, and so much more.

To purchase tickets for the Food City 500 or any of the BMS NASCAR events in 2025, please visit www.bristolmotorspeedway.com or call the BMS ticket sales center at (866) 415-4158. Tickets are also available for purchase at your local Food City store until Tuesday, April 4.

Berry, No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Team Ready to Carry Momentum to Las Vegas

Fresh off his best finish of the season, Josh Berry and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Mustang head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway with momentum on their side. Berry scored a fourth-place finish last weekend at Phoenix Raceway, a result that showcased the continued progress of the Wood Brothers Racing team early in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Las Vegas is a track where Berry has enjoyed past success, earning two Xfinity Series victories at the 1.5-mile oval. Now, in just his second full-time season at the Cup level, he looks to build on that experience and deliver another strong performance in the desert.

“Vegas has been a good track for me—I’ve won there twice in the Xfinity Series—so I’m looking forward to getting back there this weekend,” Berry said. “The mile-and-a-halfs with the Next Gen car are intense, and Vegas always puts on an exciting race, especially with how crazy the restarts can be.”

Berry and his crew have developed strong chemistry in recent weeks, and with the right execution, Las Vegas could provide another opportunity to showcase the strength of the Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Mustang.

“The biggest thing for us is to qualify well, hopefully pick up some stage points, and keep our track position to stay up front,” Berry added. “If you can run in the top 10, you can give yourself a shot at it, as long as you execute on pit road and avoid mistakes. We feel pretty good about our preparation and everything heading into the weekend.”

The action kicks off on Saturday with practice and qualifying, scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video.

The green flag for the Pennzoil 400 is set to wave just past 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, with broadcast coverage carried on FS1.

NASCAR at Las Vegas Spring Race – Schedule & Highlights

Las Vegas Motor Speedway Photo by Ron Olds for SpeedwayMedia.com.

NASCAR travels to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend for a full schedule of competition.

The Craftsman Truck Series Ecosave 200 will headline Friday evening’s activities, followed by the LiUNA! Xfinity Series race on Saturday. The Cup Series will take center stage Sunday afternoon with the Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube, the 35th Cup Series race held at the 1.5-mile track.

Cup Series – Driver Wins at Las Vegas

The first NASCAR Cup Series race was held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 1, 1998, and was won by NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Mark Martin.

Joey Logano leads all active drivers with four victories (2019, 2020, 2022, 2024). He is tied with Hall of Fame driver Jimmie Johnson (2005, 2006, 2007, 2010) for the most wins at the 1.5-mile asphalt oval track.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell heads to Las Vegas after winning the first three races of the season. All eyes will be on him as he attempts to join an elite group of drivers with another trip to Victory Lane.

Cup Series – Team Wins at Las Vegas

There have been 18 different Cup Series winners among seven different teams at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Hendrick Motorsports leads with 10 victories and has also claimed the most stage wins, with 12.

Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson has won two of the last three Las Vegas Cup Series races.

But did you know that the Cup Series pole-winner at Las Vegas has never won the race?

Xfinity Series – Best Driver to Never Win at Las Vegas

Justin Allgaier has the distinction of being the driver with the most second-place finishes (4), top fives (11), stage wins (3) and laps led (330) at Las Vegas Motor Speedway than the rest of the field combined, but he has never won an Xfinity race at Las Vegas.

While Allgaier is looking for his first win at Las Vegas, Richard Childress Racing is hoping to achieve a milestone. Their next win will be their 100th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Only two teams have won at least 100 Xfinity races (Joe Gibbs Racing – 215, Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing – 138).

Craftsman Truck Series at Las Vegas – Notes

There have been six different winners in the last six Truck Series races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the last two races were won from the pole.

  1. Sept. 25, 2020 – Austin Hill
  2. March  5, 2021 – John Hunter Nemechek

The news comes as Mears made his recent Cup Series start in the 61st Daytona 500 in February 2019 with Germain Racing. Mears’s participation in this year’s spring Martinsville event would mark his 28th career start at the Paperclip short track venue. It would also mark his 490th Cup Series career start as he strives to reach 500 Cup career starts.

“I’m happy to be back in a race car and look forward to returning to Martinsville, one of my favorite tracks,” Mears said.

“I appreciate [team owner] Carl [Long] working with me to make it happen. He’s a well-respected, great guy who’s worked hard to experience longevity in the sport. I’m excited to have HitchGO, Mosby’s Towing and Transport, and Coble Enterprises on board as we chip away at 500 NASCAR Cup Series starts.”

Mears is the nephew of four-time Indianapolis 500 champion Rick Mears and son of former IndyCar and off-road racer Roger Mears. He made his Cup Series debut in the 45th running of the Daytona 500 to commence the 2003 season. From 2003 to 2016, excluding the 2010 season, he would campaign as a full-time competitor in NASCAR’s premier series. During this span, he competed for various organizations. They included Chip Ganassi Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Richard Childress Racing and Germain Racing, the latter of which was his recent full-time organization.

In total, Mears has made 489 current starts in the Cup division. His first and only victory was in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May 2007 for Hendrick Motorsports. He has also accumulated three poles, 13 top-fives, 51 top-10s, 484 laps led, and an average finishing result of 23.6. His best points finish was 14th, which occurred in 2006 while driving for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Mears has also made 107 career starts in the Xfinity Series division. The Californian notched his lone victory at Chicagoland Speedway in July 2006.

“Having Casey Mears drive a Garage 66 car is a proud day for our organization,” Carl Long, owner of Garage 66, said. “He’s driven for NASCAR’s elite, such as Chip Ganassi Racing, Hendrick Motorsports and Richard Childress Racing. Adding Garage 66 to that list means a lot to me and everyone who’s helped build our team.”

“Casey and I first connected many years ago when I was driving and he always treated me and our fellow competitors with respect on and off the track,” Long added. “

“He hails from a historic racing family, but it’s not something he boasts about. He always takes time for everyone, which is indicative of his character. I love having the opportunity to work with good people, especially when they drive fast. I’m excited to get to Martinsville with Casey and have a successful weekend for HitchGO, Mosby’s Towing and Transport, and Coble Enterprises.”

Chandler Smith piloted Garage 66’s No. 66 Ford entry during Daytona Speedweeks. However, he did not qualify for the 67th running of the Daytona 500. This was due to being involved in a multi-car wreck during his Daytona Duel qualifying race. Mears’s entry in the upcoming spring Martinsville event would mark the first start of 2025 for Garage 66. However, this is dependent upon the event’s entry list not growing beyond 40. This would force the organization to qualify on the track as a non-chartered organization.

Casey Mears’ bid to return to NASCAR Cup Series competition will occur at Martinsville Speedway for the Cook Out 400. The event is scheduled for March 30 at 3 p.m. ET on FS1.

The NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck Series will visit the 1.5-mile oval at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend for the first of two visits this season. Following a two-week break, the Ecosave 200 Truck Series race starts on Friday at 9 p.m. ET on FS1, followed by the Xfinity Series, The LiUNA!, on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET on the CW Network and the Cup Series Pennzoil 400 on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on FS1.

Academy Award winner, actor, producer, director and narrator Morgan Freeman has been named grand marshal and reigning WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green has been named the honorary pace car driver for this year’s Pennzoil 400.

Last season, Joey Logano became the first Playoff competitor to clinch a Championship 4 berth after utilizing a late strategic pit call to win the South Point 400 on Sunday, October 20. Logano has four career victories in 23 career starts and a finishing average of 9.5 at Las Vegas

But look out for Christopher Bell as he tries to capture a historic fourth straight win. Last week, he became the first driver in the Next Gen era to win three consecutive Cup Series races. He could become the ninth driver in history to win four straight races were he has three top-fives in the last four races at Las Vegas.

NASCAR Xfinity Series Note

Las Vegas is the qualifying race for the 2025 Dash4Cash in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The four best-finishing eligible drivers will compete for a $100,000 prize at Homestead-Miami Speedway on March 22nd. The four Dash4Cash races are Homestead-Miami, Martinsville Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, and Rockingham Speedway.

Las Vegas is #WareItsAt

Cody Ware Brings Confidence to First Intermediate-Style Track of 2025

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 13, 2025) – This weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is the first of seven intermediate-style tracks on the Cup Series schedule. Intermediates serve as the bread-and-butter of the calendar, where ovals from 1.3 miles to 2 miles comprise 25 percent of the races. The 1.5-mile Las Vegas oval and it similarly-sized sister track, Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, host two races apiece, with each of their second races coming in the 10-race playoffs.

Last year, Rick Ware Racing (RWR) displayed quiet confidence at intermediates. Its collective driver roster of Justin Haley, Corey LaJoie and Cody Ware scored nine top-25 finishes, a number headlined by Haley’s 13th-place run June 30 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway. When LaJoie took over for Haley for the final seven races of 2024, he also showed strength in RWR machinery, finishing 15th Sept. 29 at Kansas and 14th Oct. 20 at Las Vegas.

Ware was a contributor too, even with a limited, nine-race schedule. He finished 21st Aug. 19 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn and then repeated that result two months later at Las Vegas. Those efforts, augmented by a career-best fourth-place finish Aug. 24 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, earned Ware the second-best average finish among drivers who ran a limited Cup Series schedule. Ware’s average result of 21.0 was second only to A.J. Allmendinger, who competed in 16 races and earned an average finish of 20.5.

“Looking back at 2024, our intermediate-track program was a strong suit,” said Ware, driver of the No. 51 Evel Knievel/Parts Plus Ford Mustang Dark Horse for RWR. “Justin, Corey, me – we all had some good, respectable runs. We worked hard to create a good baseline for this year.”

Las Vegas will be the first true test to see where that baseline stands in regard to the competition.

The first four races of the 2025 season were anomalies. The Cup Series has raced on back-to-back superspeedways at Daytona and Atlanta, a road course at Circuit of the Americas in Austin Texas, and a flat, mile-long oval in Phoenix. The ovals that make up the majority of the NASCAR calendar haven’t been represented. Sunday’s Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube changes that.

“We started the year with three straight wild-card races, where seemingly anything can happen,” Ware said. “It just felt like there were a lot of variables out of our control. Last week at Phoenix was probably the first race where I felt like we controlled our destiny a little more, and we came out of there with a respectable finish. Vegas will give us a gauge of where our performance is relative to the rest of the field.

“We’ve been pretty decent at Las Vegas, and that gives me the confidence to fire off in practice and qualifying to extract the most speed out of the car so we can see where we really are. Once we get this Vegas race underneath us, we’re going to have a better idea, directionally, of the places where we can work to make our cars better.”

Las Vegas is a fast, sweeping racetrack. Drivers lap the 1.5-mile oval in under 30 seconds with an average speed that approaches 185 mph. With its corners banked at 20 degrees, two- and three-wide racing is common, and its aged asphalt provides enough grip for drivers to search different lines in an effort to find more speed.

“Vegas is one of my favorite tracks to go to on the schedule. It’s one of the few 1.5-mile tracks that we go to that I feel has remained mostly unchanged in the last 10 years,” Ware said.

“It’s got a lot of character. Being out in the desert, it can be a little bit dusty, and you have some pretty significant bumps, especially over in the corners. You have to be very cognizant of your corner entry and the line you’re taking, because if you hit those bumps in turns one and two just the wrong way, it could end your day pretty quickly.

“And with the different lines you can run, you can find ways to make the car work for you even if your car isn’t exactly where you want it. If you don’t have a good handle on your car, there’s about a lane-and-a-half you can use in turns one and two. But if your car is handling well, you can take those bumps aggressively. That opens up a lot of racing opportunities from the bottom of the racetrack all the way to the wall.

“I’m interested to see if it’s going to be a race of raw speed, or if we’re going to have long green-flag runs where we’ll see a lot of strategy come into play.”

Ware will get his first hint of what Las Vegas has to offer when he wheels his No. 51 Evel Knievel/Parts Plus Ford Mustang Dark Horse around the track for practice on Saturday at 10:35 a.m. PDT/1:35 p.m. EDT. Qualifying follows at 11:40 a.m. PDT/2:40 p.m. EDT. That will set the starting lineup for Sunday’s 36-car field, with the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube going green at 12:30 p.m. PDT/3:30 p.m. EDT with live coverage on FS1 and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

About Rick Ware Racing:

Rick Ware has been a motorsports mainstay for more than 40 years. It began at age 6 when the third-generation racer began his driving career and has since spanned four wheels and two wheels on both asphalt and dirt. Competing in the SCCA Trans Am Series and other road-racing divisions led Ware to NASCAR in the early 1980s, where he finished third in his NASCAR debut – the 1983 Warner W. Hodgdon 300 NASCAR Grand American race at Riverside (Calif.) International Raceway. More than a decade later, injuries would force Ware out of the driver’s seat and into full-time team ownership. In 1995, Rick Ware Racing was formed, and with his wife Lisa by his side, Ware has since built his eponymous organization into an entity that competes full-time in the elite NASCAR Cup Series while simultaneously campaigning successful teams in the Top Fuel class of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, Progressive American Flat Track and FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX).

Additionally, Burton has delivered two top-five and four top-10 finishes and an average Xfinity track finish of 8.3.

Also, the Huntersville, N.C. native has six NASCAR Cup Series starts at Las Vegas, delivering a track-best of 15th after 31st in the 2024 edition of the South Point Hotel & Casino 400 driving for Wood Brothers Racing.

Burton, the second-generation racer, has also earned one top-five and two top-10 finishes in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series.

Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, respectively.

In addition to the 79 Xfinity Series starts, he has achieved 109 NASCAR Cup Series starts, 40 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series starts and 52 career starts across the ARCA Menards Series platforms.

● Phoenix Raceway | GOVX 200 Race Recap: The start of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season continued last weekend with the first of two trips to Arizona at the coveted Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway.

After a solid practice effort, Burton and the AM Racing team delivered the 21st quickest lap in qualifying.

From the drop of the green flag, Burton, despite battling a tight-handling No. 25 DEX Imaging Ford Mustang, was able to run competitively inside the top 15 and even contended for his third top-10 Xfinity Series finish of the year.

However, a restart in overtime stalled the high line, dropping Burton from inside the top 15 to a 20th-place result in the two-lap shootout.

Harrison Burton Quoteboard:

On Las Vegas Motor Speedway: “I always enjoy racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, not just because of the scenery but because it’s a great race track.

“I am thankful to have a good track record in the NASCAR Xfinity Series racing at Las Vegas, and I look forward to continuing at that pace with my AM Racing team on Saturday afternoon.”

On Keys to Success at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: “Honestly, track position will be crucial on Saturday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The track conditions will be cooler than at Phoenix, so that should set up for a great race.

“It is not uncommon to see a green flag pit stop in Stage 3, so making sure you execute that stop with good service from the crew and no mistakes from the driver could mean the difference between a top-10 or not.’

On Phoenix Raceway Finish: “I was disappointed because we certainly had a faster No. 25 DEX Imaging Ford Mustang than a 20th place finish. I thought we would be in a good position to better ourselves there on that last restart, but it got a little dicey, and the top lane stalled a little, and from there – it was just survival to get back to the checkered flag.

“Our day could have been worse or even better, but we learned a lot, and that’s a positive for our return to Phoenix Raceway in November.”

On 2025 Season Outlook: “I believe we can turn some heads in 2025. I think our goals and expectations are not only obtainable, but we can execute them well and put this AM Racing team into the Playoffs in 2025.

“We have a lot of people and partners who believe in what we are doing this season, and I’d love nothing more than to deliver AM Racing their first career Xfinity Series win, join the Playoffs and hunt for a championship.

“I believe it’s going to be a fun year.”
