The 31-year-old DiBenedetto from Grass Valley, California, benefitted from a final lap multi-truck wreck during an overtime attempt to achieve his first career victory across NASCAR's top three national touring series.
"It’s been a tough road, for sure," said Holmes. "Everything we’ve done has just been phenomenal this season, every decision we’ve made. To come out and not even know we were going to run the full season, and to finish it off like this, is really special."
While the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is taking the weekend off, the ARCA Menards Series will take center stage Friday night at Madison International Speedway, the short track located in Oregon, Wisconsin.
