ALLIANCE TRUCK PARTS ACQUIRES NAMING RIGHTS FOR NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES RACE AT MIS

The Alliance Truck Parts 250 Will Be Held at Michigan International Speedway on June 18

BROOKLYN, Mich. (May 9, 2011) – Alliance Truck Parts, a leading provider of replacement parts for the commercial transportation industry, has signed a 3-year naming rights deal with Michigan International Speedway for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Alliance Truck Parts 250. This year’s race will be held on Saturday, June 18.

NASCAR racing is not new to Alliance Truck Parts. The organization’s Alliance Truck Parts Racing also sponsors the NASCAR Nationwide Series No. 12 Dodge Challenger driven by Sam Hornish Jr.

“As we’ve developed our NASCAR affiliation strategy, race sponsorship has been a big goal,” said Daniel Haggerty, director of parts marketing for Daimler Trucks North America LLC. “We know our customers are huge NASCAR fans, and this involvement beyond our already-announced car sponsorship is indicative of the continued strength of NASCAR’s Nationwide Series as a viable marketing platform to grow business and successfully reach our customers with the brand.”

Haggerty, a Michigan native, noted that this marks the 20th year of Nationwide Series racing at MIS and that from a branding standpoint, partnering with MIS and NASCAR was an ideal fit for Alliance. Naming rights to the Alliance Truck Parts 250 and marketing partnerships with MIS, NASCAR and Penske Racing provide support for Alliance brand messaging to commercial transportation customers, as well as access to a loyal fan base.

“The opportunity to partner with International Speedway Corporation and MIS was one we simply couldn’t turn down,” added Haggerty. “Alliance Truck Parts is proud to welcome the millions of NASCAR fans back this June for another unforgettable day of racing at MIS.”

Attending fans will see many of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ top stars go head-to-head with the Nationwide Series regulars. And for those not able to attend, the Alliance Truck Parts 250 will be televised live starting at 3:30pm ET Saturday, June 18 on ABC. Tickets for the race can be purchased by calling the MIS ticket hotline at 1-800-354-1010 or by logging on to MISpeedway.com.

“There is a great deal of value with sponsoring a Nationwide Series race at MIS, and we’re happy that Alliance Truck Parts has made the choice to do so for our upcoming race on June 18,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “We appreciate anytime a new company chooses to make MIS a platform for its goals and initiatives. Many MIS guests are in the commercial transportation industry and we look forward to showcasing Alliance Truck Parts to all those guests and all of the great race fans that attend and watch races at MIS.”
