Clint Bowyer to make 200th-Career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Start This Weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

WELCOME, N.C. (July 11, 2011) – Clint Bowyer, driver of the No. 33 Cheerios/Hamburger Helper Chevrolet, will make his 200th-career start in NASCAR’s elite division this weekend when the series returns to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the LENOX Industrial Tools 301.

The 32-year-old Bowyer is no stranger to success at the one-mile oval known as “The Magic Mile.” In 10 starts at the Loudon, N.H.-based facility, he has led more than 400 laps and visited NMHS Victory Lane twice with his most recent trip coming last September when he kicked off his 2010 NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup campaign.

“It’s only fitting that we are going to New Hampshire this weekend for my 200th-career start,” said Bowyer. “We have had some significant success up there in the past and, after some bad luck these last few weekends, it’s nice to go somewhere where we run well.”

Bowyer, a native of Emporia, Kan., has amassed four wins, 30 top-five finishes, 87 top-10 finishes and two poles in six fulltime Sprint Cup Series seasons with Richard Childress Racing. He currently sits 12th in the 2011 NSCS driver championship point standings on the strength of three top-five and eight top-10 finishes.

“I am very fortunate to hit this milestone with the same organization that I came into the sport with over six years ago,” the 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion added. “Richard and I have built a great relationship over the years and I appreciate everything he has done for me throughout my career.”

Live coverage of the LENOX Industrial Tools 301 from New Hampshire Motor Speedway will be televised on TNT Sunday, July 17, beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time and will also broadcast worldwide on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius XM Satellite Radio. Qualifying for the 19th race on the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tour will be televised on SPEED Friday, July 15, beginning at 3 p.m. EDT.
