Mooresville, N.C.(July 21, 2011) – Nashville Superspeedway us up on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule for the second time this season. In race 5 on the schedule, Brendan Gaughan qualified 22nd, spent most of the race competing just outside the top-ten in eleventh place only to have the day’s hard work wrapped up in someone else’s crash just 12 laps shy of the finish.

“ Nashville is a good track for Germain Racing. We just came back from there earlier this year and the South Point Hotel & Casino Tundra handled very well. We got hit when another truck spun late in the race and collected us. There wasn’t a lot of time to come back from that, but we managed to finish 17th. I know the No. 62 team is looking forward to another chance at Nashville ,” said Gaughan.

In April, Gaughan was caught up with the spinning no. 63 truck on lap 138. He fell from just outside the top-ten to 25th, the last truck on the lead lap. His crew patched up the No. 62 Toyota and Gaughan was able to pick off eight positions in the final six green flag laps of the race.

“If you are a Germain Racing driver, you have to have confidence when you are heading into a Nashville race weekend. The team has a great feel for tracks within the mile and a half range. From what we saw with our Toyota there in the spring, I know I’m looking forward to racing there Friday night,” said Gaughan.   Gaughan will race chassis TRD-122. The truck has been to victory lane with Todd Bodine ( Darlington , 2010), and has also been driven by Justin Lofton. The chassis has been a go-to truck in the Germain Racing fleet since June of 2008.   Watch Gaughan in the No. 62 South Point Hotel & Casino Tundra on Friday, July 22nd, at Nashville Superspeedway on SPEED. Qualifying airs at 5:15 PM Eastern, with racing action at 8:00 PM. Tune in early to catch the NCWTS Setup at 7:30 PM. Not in front of a TV? Tune your radio to your local MRN affiliate.

Todd Bodine on driving at Nashville Superspeedway “I’m looking forward to going back to Nashville Superspeedway. We had a great run there last year. We were able to get the guitar finally. We’re going there with a brand new truck. I think we’ve got a good handle on the track and we’re looking to get International a win.  “International has a big hospitality at Nashville . It’s something we haven’t had the opportunity to deal with in a long time, so we’re excited about the opportunity to race for International and to meet their associates. The best way to start off the relationship great is to do it with a win. “ Nashville races like a mile and a half which our team excels on. It’s really a driver’s track and how the driver approaches it and finesses it translates into results. It’s fun to race. Our team has a good setup for the concrete surface which gives us all a lot of confidence heading into the weekend. “
