PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: Bodine and the No. 11 Toyota Care Tundra took off when the green-flag dropped, at Kansas Speedway and was the truck to beat during the Truck Series SFP 250. Bodine qualified in the ninth place and took the checkered flag in the fifth position, gaining five positions in the point standings. Bodine currently sits 11th only five points out of 10th place.
Todd Bodine talks about Charlotte Motor Speedway:
How is Charlotte Motor Speedway different than the other 1.5-mile tracks on the schedule?
“Charlotte is definitely its own animal. The corners have a sharper radius than most of the other 1.5-mile tracks. The majority of them have long sweeping corners, where Charlotte does not. You’re challenged with the handling of the track because of the tighter turns which makes Charlotte a lot more difficult than the others.”
You will be making your 49th Charlotte start in the Truck race on Friday night. What is one of your most memorable races?
“I have two Winston Open wins at Charlotte but have never won a points race there. I would say both of those Open wins were memorable. I have always run well here, but never got to victory lane in the points race. Any time you get to victory lane, that is something special.”
