[/media-credit]BROOKLYN, M.I. (June 15, 2012) – Joey Coulter grabbed his third career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards pole this morning at Michigan international Speedway. The 22-year-old in his No. 61 Rip it Energy Fuel, Coulter Motorsports Chevrolet set a new track record with a blistering qualifying lap of 37.471-seconds (192.149 mph – 0.247-seconds/1.259 mph faster than the second-place qualifier).
Coulter on his pole winning qualifying lap:
“It was a heck of a lap. I can’t thank everybody at Rip It Energy Fuel and Coulter Motorsports enough for putting this Chevrolet together. Harold Holly’s [crew chief] calling the shots this weekend, and I don’t know how he figures out qualifying, but he can make a rocket ship. My dad’s team Coulter Motorsports, they’ve been really getting better and better. I think we’ve found a good combination and something that’s going to work. It’ll be great for my teammate Matt Lofton for the rest of the year.”
