Carl Edwards on racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway:
“We just couldn’t catch a break in Talladega, but we head to Charlotte Motor Speedway this week where we have had success. The strategy is the same. We will just go for it and do everything we can to put our Kellogg’s Ford in to victory lane. It’s a fast mile and a half and the track is very challenging. It’s an important race for the team. It will be exciting and the atmosphere is always intense under the lights in front of family, friends and the home crowd. We just need to go in there and win.”
Crew chief Chad Norris on racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway:
“Charlotte is a good track for us and I feel like we have what we need to have a strong run. We are taking the same car that we raced there in May at the All-Star Race and at Atlanta. The 500-mile race is a little different than the 600, but starting out we’ll work with a similar set-up to what we had in May and go from there. The temperature will be a lot cooler than in May and it will be dark when we start so those will be some differences to work through during the race.”
