RICKY STENHOUSE JR. – No. 6 Cargill/Sam’s Club Ford Mustang – WHAT A GREAT COMEBACK. “That was a total team effort. The guys did an awesome job getting the car back together and we never gave up. Mike made great calls and adjustments to fix how the car drove with the damage and it was still one of the fastest cars out there. Our Sam’s Club Mustang was fast this weekend. I didn’t see the win coming like this but we will take it. It was in front of a great crowd. I can’t say enough about the fans coming out and supporting us. It is a lot of fun to run in this series and especially to come to Kansas.”

THAT LAST LAP COMING OFF TURN TWO, TALK ABOUT WHAT YOU SAW UNFOLD. “I saw Kyle (Busch) and he was really shaking it down the back straightaway trying to make sure it had a lot of fuel and I thought it was good to go but right in the center it ran out and I was able to sneak by him on the outside and get the win. That was exciting.”

THE INCIDENT WITH LOGANO, WHAT HAPPENED THERE? “We had a lot of debris on the grille and we were 300 on water and oil and I thought we would have to pit to come get that off before we blew up and I was trying to get behind him to get the debris off and he checked up at the last second and I turned and just drove right into the side of him. That wasn’t much he could do about it and I thought it ruined our day but we were able to bounce back from it.”

YOU MADE UP A TON OF POINTS. YOUR THOUGHTS GOING INTO THE LAST THREE RACES? “We knew we had to do that. I didn’t see the win coming like this but I felt we had a car that was capable of winning before we got in the mess there with the 18. We know we need to win races and if we win the rest we will win the championship no matter what. We have good tracks coming up for us and we are looking forward to getting to them.”
