TUMS Selects Fort Bragg Soldiers as Honorary Starter and Grand Marshals
Martinsville, Va. (Oct. 22, 2012) — For the 65th running of the fall race at Martinsville Speedway, TUMS has selected five soldiers from Fort Bragg to serve as the honorary starter and grand marshals on October 28 at the TUMS Fast Relief 500.
Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Solomon from the XVIII Airborne Corps will serve as honorary starter and wave the green flag to start the 500-lap event. Proclaiming the most famous words in racing, “Gentlemen, Start Your Engines,” will be Sgt. Chad Willis from the 1st Sustainment Command (Theater); Sgt. Chase Noble and Spc. Mathew Lee McClintock both from the 1-508th, 4th Brigade Combat Team; and Pfc. Albert Boston from the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne).

In addition, TUMS also provided 500 tickets to the TUMS Fast Relief 500 to soldiers from Fort Bragg and Fort Lee and air men and women from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
