Transportation Impact Announces Special Addition To Paint Scheme In Time For St. Patrick’s Festival

Emerald Isle, N.C. (March 13, 2013) – Transportation Impact will display its company sponsored No. 43 Ford Fusion at the 22nd annual Emerald Isle St. Patrick’s Festival on March 16. The company has made a slight modification to the paint scheme that will be unveiled when the festival begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

“When we were in the planning stages of bringing the car to Emerald Isle, we wanted to do something that showed our community how proud we are to call this place home,” said Transportation Impact Co-Founder, Keith Byrd. “We didn’t reinvent the wheel, but I hope everyone will stop by to check out the addition we’ve made and be as proud as we are of this car and this community.”

The festival, which will take place from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Emerald Plantation shopping center located along Highway 58 in Emerald Isle, is a Carteret County tradition, providing food, fun and music suitable for all ages.

In conjunction with the car, which made its NASCAR debut at the Pocono 400 last June, representatives from the Petty Family Foundation will be on hand to raise awareness about the charities it supports.

“Having our car on display at the festival, along with our friends at the Petty Family Foundation, is something we’re very proud of,” said Keith Byrd, partner and co-founder of Transportation Impact.

“Each year our community comes together for this great event and it’s our goal to show the Foundation what our residents are all about.

“The Petty family and its supporters work tirelessly, giving their time and effort to benefit others. The money they raise helps wounded veterans, disabled and terminally ill children, cancer victims and so many more. Hopefully the people in our community will come out to show their support and get behind this wonderful cause in addition to having a great time.”

Representatives from the Petty Family Foundation will raffle prizes during the festival including memorabilia autographed by racing legend Richard “The King” Petty, hats, t-shirts, an autographed race-used tire and a Richard Petty Driving Experience for one lucky winner. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Petty Family Foundation.

“We are truly excited to have the Petty Family Foundation join us for this wonderful event within our community,” said Emerald Isle Mayor, Art Schools.

“Each year, the event seems to draw more and more people and it is our hope that this exciting opportunity to feature NASCAR, a sport that so many people enjoy, will result in our biggest turnout yet.”

Festival admission and parking are free. Additional information about the festival can be found by visiting www.emeraldislestpatricksfestival.com. For more information on the Petty Family Foundation, visit www.pettyfamilyfoundation.org.
