ADVANCE NOTES

·         Pastrana at Auto Club Speedway

o   Pastrana will make his first start at Auto Club Speedway (ACS) in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) this weekend.

o   In 2010, Pastrana found a different kind of success in California, breaking the world record for a rally car jump.  On New Year’s Eve, the driver jumped a rally car off the Pine Avenue Pier, 269 feet onto a floating barge in Rainbow Harbor.  To celebrate the feat, Pastrana did a backflip into the harbor.

·         The Car

o   The No. 60 crew brings a new car, Chassis RK-749 to ACS this weekend.

·         California Connections

o   Brian Harrison, Engineer for the No. 60 Ford Mustang, returns to his home state of California for Saturday’s race in Fontana.

·         Recapping Bristol

o   The NNS traveled to Bristol Motor Speedway last Saturday for the first short track race of the season.  Pastrana and the No. 60 Roush Fenway Racing Ford Mustang qualified 18th for the Grit Chips 300.  After running the majority of the race in the top-15, Pastrana ultimately crossed the finish line in 16th.

o   Pastrana is now 12th in the NNS points standings.

QUOTE WORTHY

Pastrana On: His Season so far:

“My season is off to a pretty good start.  I hope to continue learning and race every lap.  Every track has been completely different so far, but I’m looking forward to this fast track.  Both of my top-10s this year have come at the bigger and faster tracks.”

Racing in California:

“My wife is from Southern California and I will have a lot of family and friends at the race, so it would be awesome to run up front and at least put on a good show.”
