NOS(R) Energy Drink to Sponsor the No. 17 Ford at Auto Club Speedway

CONCORD, N.C. (March 21, 2013) – NOS® Energy Drink has formed a partnership with the reigning two-time NASCAR Nationwide Champion, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. NOS Energy Drink will serve as the primary sponsor on the No. 17 Ford at Auto Club Speedway on March 24, 2013.

At the start of the 2013 NASCAR® season on February 24th, NOS® Energy Drink partnered with Roush Fenway Racing on an interactive fan challenge featuring Stenhouse Jr.  #IMNOSOME is a four-week social media campaign.  Each week, Stenhouse Jr. selected a winner based on fan photo submissions and personally gifted exclusive prizes such as an autographed NOS® hat and t-shirt, Best Buy gift card, Oakley Racing sunglasses, and the grand prize:  the official NOS® race helmet and Oakley Racing gloves post-race.

A special, added element of the No. 17 paintout is the fan component. Six lucky winners that were hand selected by Stenhouse based on their creative and dynamic photo submissions during the #IMNOSOME campaign will find their names featured on the deck lid of the NOS® Energy Drink Ford during the Auto Club 400.

“NOS Energy Drink was a great partner of ours in the Nationwide series as we went for back-to-back championship last season,” Stenhouse said. “I’m glad to have them back on board for the 2013 Sprint Cup season.  NOS Energy Drink knows how to get the fans involved and the pictures we have received have been NOSome. I hope to get the six lucky fans riding with me into victory lane at Auto Club Speedway.”

NOS® is rooted in motorsports serving as the Official Energy Drink of NASCAR and as a partner of Ricky Stenhouse Jr.  In addition, the brand has partnerships with Major League Gaming and Virgin Gaming, and recently entered into the MMA space by signing Welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and an integrated sponsorship with The Ultimate Fighter.
