MICHAEL ANNETT, No. 43 Pilot Travel Centers Ford Mustang (Finished 5th) –  “This was a great run for Richard Petty Motorsports. We came back at Charlotte after the injury and just had the worst racing luck I’ve had since I’ve been in the Nationwide Series. We haven’t been getting the finishes that we deserve. Finally nothing stupid happened and we kept our nose clean and brought home a top-five and now we are eligible for the Dash for Cash at Chicago next week.”

TREVOR BAYNE, No. 6 Cargill Ford Mustang (Finished 6th) –  “We were 15th with five to go so to come out sixth was a good day. Overall it wasn’t a great day though because I feel like we had a car that could win the thing. We were running faster times than the leaders at the end when we were by ourselves after we came through the field so I knew we had a fast race car. This package just doesn’t qualify great. It is really good at a track where you can pass and its good for a long run but we will have to figure out how to qualify a little better with it so we can be up front. I think once we figure that out we can run away with these things. Kyle (Busch) is obviously really fast all weekend and good job to those guys. We finally got track position and I got squeezed out three-wide in the middle with the 11 and 43. I thought the 43 might give me a little bit of a break but he said it was too late by the time he realized I was coming up with the 11, so that kind of lost our track position for us. To come out of here sixth, we will take it. I think we learned a lot this weekend and we had a pretty good Cargill Ford Mustang.”

SAM HORNISH Jr., No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Ford Mustang (Finished 7th) –  YOU HAD TO COME TO PIT ROAD BEFORE RUNNING OUT OF GAS THERE AT THE END, WHICH WITH ALL THE GWC ATTEMPTS LOOKED LIKE IT MIGHT PLAY TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.  “The tough part is that on the first pit stop we took two tires and in order to just take the tires and get going we didn’t get all the fuel in it and we had to pit earlier than everybody else. Really what that cost us what just less room for overtime at the end of the race. When you have one green-white-checkered it is hard for Greg to make that decision to pull us down but it ended up we came out the same place as far as it all goes and probably a little better off in points because of it. The unfortunate part is we didn’t get the opportunity to Dash for Cash. Our Ford Mustang was awesome today. We were really good on a long run. We could go further than those other guys and really we could run 30-30’s on the first lap and on lap 95 of the run we could run 30-30’s. We just didn’t have any fall off which would have made us really good but we just didn’t get the run we needed to toward the end and we made a small adjustment on our green flag pit-stop which didn’t help us that much.”
