Blake Koch and Compassion International Joins RAB Racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway

Blake Koch and Compassion International Joins RAB Racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway

Concord, N.C. (November 12, 2013) – Homestead-Miami Speedway will see it’s hometown driver, Blake Koch make his first start with RAB Racing on Saturday, November 16th in the Compassion Racing Toyota Camry. For 61 years, Compassion International has been dedicated to the long-term development of children living in poverty, and currently helps 1.4 million children around the world. Compassion is the world’s leading authority for holistic child development.

“God has called us all to help children in poverty,” says Mark Hanlon, Compassion’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Engagement. “And He calls us in many different ways. For Blake, that calling comes at nearly 200 miles per hour on the race track. What an exciting way to speak up on behalf of children in poverty! We’re so honored to be partnering with Blake and his team in this endeavor and we’re cheering for him on every turn.”

The West Palm Beach, FL native, Koch will make his 86th start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, and has the goal of beating the other 39 competitors on the race track. Off the race track, Koch has the goal to help as many children battling poverty that he can.

“Homestead is a big deal for me, it’s my home track,” says Koch. “I have my only top ten qualifying there and I feel like we have everything in place to have an amazing weekend. But the most important thing about the weekend is that we will have compassion racing in front of millions of people. These children living in poverty can’t speak up for themselves, but we can speak up for them and that’s what this weekend is about! By sponsoring a child you will change their story forever! You will give them the opportunity to succeed! Learn more about compassion at compassionracing.com and sponsor a child today!”

“I’m very proud to have Blake Koch drive for RAB Racing, and equally as proud to have Compassion Racing on the hood of our Toyota Camry,” said car-owner Robby Benton. “This partnership is so much more than just trying to compete on the track at Homestead-Miami Speedway. It’s about helping provide meals, meeting health and medical needs, and about providing educational opportunities to poverty stricken children all over the world. It’s refreshing to see a company like Compassion utilize NASCAR’s fan-base to raise awareness and try to make a difference in the lives of children who desperately need it. I look forward to bringing attention to such a great cause.”

GodSpeaks will serve as an associate sponsor for the Homestead-Miami event and has been a partner with Koch for over five years, including his first starts in late models. GodSpeaks aims to interrupt our crazy-busy lives to deliver simple yet compelling messages signed by God. GodSpeaks places these messages where most of us live, work and play.

“Blake’s heart to share God’s love and compassion is contagious, and we are thrilled to be part of his team, said Bradley Burck of GodSpeaks. “With Blake’s help, we can touch the hearts of millions of NASCAR fans, drivers, pit crews, and commentators with the simple and much needed reminder that God is real, He loves you, values you, and longs to be in relationship with you.”
