Leavine Family Racing’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series history at Phoenix International Raceway … Team owner Bob Leavine has two starts at Phoenix International Raceway. In two races at the Avondale, Ariz. facility, the Concord, N.C.-based organization finished 41st with Scott Speed a year ago and 37th in November with Reed Sorenson.

LFR’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series History… Since entering the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2011, LFR has logged 39 starts, with one top-10 finish, with an average starting position of 33.9 and an average finishing position of 36.5.

No. 95 Leavine Family Racing Ford Fusion

This Week’s Leavine Family Racing Ford Fusion at Phoenix International Raceway … Michael McDowell will pilot Chassis No. PRS-838 in The Profit on CNBC 500 Presented by Small Business Fueling America at Phoenix International Raceway. This is a new Ford Fusion to the Wally Rogers-led team, but it has previous history at Phoenix International Raceway.

McDowell at Phoenix International Raceway … Although this weekend marks McDowell’s first start with Leavine Family Racing at Phoenix International Raceway, the Glendale driver has made eight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at the one-mile track, earning a career-best 32nd-place finish at the track in November 2013. In five NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at the track, he finished 11th in 2009 and has made two starts in the Tudor United Sports Car Championship, finishing sixth in both events.

On the Radio … The No. 95 Ford Fusion team will sport the white and red colors of K-LOVE this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway. The K-LOVE logo will adorn the hood and quarter panels of the car.

Golden Anniversary… Phoenix International Raceway teamed with McDowell to kick-off the race track’s 50th anniversary with a sponsorship of the No. 95 Ford. Phoenix International Raceway’s 50th anniversary logo will adorn McDowell’s No. 95 Leavine Family Racing Ford Fusion, featured on the lower rear quarter panels.

Home in the Valley of the Sun … McDowell, a Glendale native, got his start in racing go-karts in the Phoenix area at age eight, and his family remains in the Phoenix area.

McDowell Makes Rounds … On Thursday McDowell will make a trip to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital to visit young patients and their families.

NASCAR Tweet Up … Hosted by USA Today’s Jeff Gluck (@Jeff_Gluck), McDowell (@Mc_Driver) will join for a tweet up at 9:30 AM on Sunday, March 2 outside Turn 2.
