Martinsville Speedway Party Plaza Adds Hall-of-Famers Petty and Inman

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (February 27, 2014) – The party in Martinsville Speedway’s Party Plaza keeps getting bigger for the morning of the STP 500 on March 30.

NASCAR Hall-of-Fame members and race Grand Marshals Richard Petty and Dale Inman are the latest to join the Party Plaza lineup for March 30. Also new to the Party Plaza are Sprint Cup driver Marcos Ambrose, retired Sprint Cup star Ken Schrader, Miss Sprint Cup and Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell.

Sprint Cup drivers Matt Kenseth and Kasey Kahne had committed to Party Plaza appearances earlier.

“The Party Plaza keeps getting bigger and better for the spring. I’m just honored to be alongside some of the stars we have lined up,” said Campbell, who in his spare time races himself and is coming off a third-place finish in the season-opening ARCA race at Daytona. “I think with the drivers and Hall of Fame members and all the games and shows cars we have, fans are going to have an amazing morning.”

In addition to celebrities, there will be loads of fun and excitement in the Party Plaza. There will be four NASCAR show cars and trucks, plus racing simulators and lots of games for all ages with plenty of prizes to giveaway. A live DJ will be featured with music all morning long.

Vendors will be selling food and Pepsi products. There will be a beer garden offering an assortment of beer.

Admission to the Party Plaza, which also includes a Pre-Race Track Pass to walk along the front-stretch of Martinsville Speedway, is just $30.Tickets for the Party Plaza may be purchased by calling 877.RACE.TIX or online at www.martinsvillespeedway.com.

Ticket prices for the STP 500 start at $37. Youth 12 and under tickets in the Clay Earles Tower are $10 with teens 13-17 for $25 and adults only $57.

The Family Four Pack, which includes 2 adults and 2 youth 12 and under, start at just $90.

The STP 500 weekend at Martinsville Speedway is scheduled for March 28-30. The Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is scheduled for March 29 and Pole Day on March 28.
