DID YOU KNOW? … BRISTOL FORD FACTS

DID YOU KNOW? … Brad Keselowski has a chance to become the first Ford driver since Carl Edwards in 2010 (Phoenix and Homestead) to win consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races after taking the checkered flag last week in Las Vegas.

DID YOU KNOW? … Ford Racing has won 619 all-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races and of the active tracks currently on the schedule, Bristol Motor Speedway ranks as the manufacturer’s second-most successful with 33 victories.  Michigan International Speedway ranks first with 35 Ford wins.

DID YOU KNOW? … The Ford driver with the most NSCS wins at Bristol is Rusty Wallace, who won five times with the Blue Oval from 1994-2000.  NOTE: Wallace won nine NSCS races overall at Bristol during his career.

DID YOU KNOW? … Fred Lorenzen and Kurt Busch each won three consecutive Bristol races while driving for Ford.  Lorenzen did it in 1963-64 while Busch achieved the feat in 2003-04.

DID YOU KNOW? … When Rusty Wallace won the Food City 500 in 2000 with Ford Racing it marked the 50th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory of his career.  NOTE: Wallace ranks ninth on the all-time NSCS win list with 55 and is one of only 12 drivers to post 50 wins or more.

DID YOU KNOW? … Alan Kulwicki won five races during his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career and two of those came at Bristol Motor Speedway (1991-92).  His other wins occurred at Phoenix, Rockingham and Pocono.
