Kelly Admiraal, No. 29 Swan Rentals Toyota Camry, Bristol Preview

This Week’s Swan Rentals Toyota Camry … Kelly Admiraal will pilot RAB Racing with Brack Maggard chassis No. 039 in Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Welcome Aboard … Swan Rentals joins RAB Racing this weekend as primary sponsor of the No. 29 Toyota Camry. Swan Rentals is a premier provider of equipment rental solutions to the Energy and Commercial Construction Industries in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. They supply rental equipment such as matting, tank farms, oilfield equipment, construction and rig mats.

First Timer … Admiraal joins RAB Racing for only his second career Nationwide Series start and first at Bristol. Admiraal, though, is no stranger to short-track racing. He most recently competed in the K&N Pro Series West race at Phoenix International Raceway and was running in the third position with just a small handful of laps remaining until a flat right-front tire relegated the Canadian native to a 19th-place finish. In just seven starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro SeriesWest, Admiraal has two top-ten finishes, coming at Phoenix and Sonoma in 2013.

RAB at Bristol … RAB Racing has fielded Nationwide Series entries at Bristol Motor Speedway 10 times since 2008, with drivers Alex Bowman, John Wes Townley and Kenny Wallace. The team’s best showing in Thunder Valley is a 14th-place finish, which was posted by Bowman in this race last season.

Lucas at Bristol … Crew chief Matt Lucas has sat atop the pit box as a Nationwide Series crew chief at Bristol Motor Speedway twice in his career, posting one top-10 finish in 2012.

Catch the Action … Saturday’s Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway will be televised live Saturday, March 13 beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET on ESPN and broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network.

Kelly Admiraal Quotes:

“I’m really excited to have this opportunity with RAB Racing along with the support of Swan Rentals. Swan came on board for 2014 and I’m honored to be able to represent them this weekend in Bristol. Having this opportunity to race at the famed Bristol Motor Speedway is a dream come true! Over the past couple of months I’ve been able to spend some time in Concord at the RAB Racing facility and get to know crew chief Matt Lucas. Lucas is definitely a huge asset to me and this team, they are definitely top-notch and highly competitive. I’m really looking forward to working with them.”

Matt Lucas Quotes:

“Everyone here at RAB Racing is really looking forward to having Kelly Admiraal in one of our Toyota Camry’s at Bristol Motor Speedway. Our first goal is to get him comfortable running around the high banks at Bristol with the different lines and characteristics of a race track that he’s never seen before. Once he’s comfortable we’ll work on getting the No. 29 Swan Rentals Toyota Camry faster and getting Kelly to the checkered flag. A track like Bristol will be great experience for Kelly moving forward in his career.”
