Three time NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Champion Scott Steckly and 22 Racing are pleased to announce today that they have moved into their new motorsports facility in Milverton, Ontario. This project began mid-summer in 2013 and the first shovels went in the ground early last October.
“The 22 Racing Team has experienced tremendous growth over the past two years, so it became apparent that the existing shop was just not large enough,” said team owner and driver Scott Steckly. “This has been a goal of mine for several years and it is great to see it coming to completion. I believe the time is right to invest in the future of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series as a sport and a business.”
The shop houses three hoists, bays for eight NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race cars, parts area, fabrication & welding shop, stock room and a lunch room for the staff. The office area includes a show room, offices and large glass trophy case.
The team has been working diligently to get everything moved in and up and running prior to the start of the 2014 testing season. “It has been an incredible amount of work but the final product will be well worth the effort,” noted Steckly.
22 Racing is seeing substantial growth as they field cars for full time team mate Alex Tagliani in the EpiPen Dodge, several races for Luc Lesage in the Sportchief Dodge and other single and multiple event programs.
An open house is scheduled for Saturday June 21, 2014 and more details will be forthcoming.
