5-Time ARCA Winner Brennan Poole Back at Pocono; City of Peace Films, The Identical Movie Expands Venturini Team Sponsorship Role

Brennan Poole, a native of The Woodlands, Texas, will make his first series start since 2013 driving the Venturini Motorsports (VMS) prepared No.66 The Identical Movie Toyota in Friday’sARCA ModSpace 150. In addition the team announced today that Poole will drive at Madison International Speedway onAugust 24th and both ARCA dirt races at Illinois State Fairgrounds (Springfield) (8/17) and DuQuoin State Fairgrounds (9/1). Poole holds the qualifying record at Pocono at 173.554 mph set in 2012.

“I can’t thank Venturini Motorsports, So Good! Entertainment and everybody on The Identical project enough. I’m truly blessed to have this opportunity,” said Poole. “Our team has ran very well at all four tracks and we are determined to build upon those successes. We want to bring home four trophies for the mantle.”

Earlier in the month, City of Peace Films and So Good! Entertainment entered into a strategic partnership with VMS to promote the upcoming September 5th nationwide release of the film The Identical, starring Ashley Judd, Seth Green, Ray Liotta, Joe Pantoliano and lead singer Blake Rayne. This multi-tiered marketing plan utilizes VMS’s team strength to promote the feature film across several of the team cars and drivers including John Wes Townley, who’s been carrying The Identical movie graphics on both his ARCA and NASCAR Nationwide Zaxby’s cars since Chicagoland Speedway.

In addition to on-track activation, actor Blake Rayne will showcase his singing talent promoting The Identical movie soundtrack by headlining the ARCA Racing Summer Concert Series in a multitude of pre-race concerts which are co-produced by Tom Venturini (VMS) and Nashville-based, So Good! Entertainment. Rayne, the lead actor in The Identical movie, performed many of the movie’s 20-plus original songs, which were produced and co-written by Motown legend, Jerry Marcellino. During his famed career, Marcellino has composed and produced songs for Grammy-winning icons such as Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, The Jackson 5, The Supremes, Eddie Money, Thelma Houston, Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons and Bobby Darin, to name a few of his credits.

Following Pocono, teammates John Wes Townley, Justin Boston and Brennan Poole will join Blake Rayne in Charlotte for a three-day music video shoot for “Be-Boppin Baby,” one of the featured songs in the film. The video will be shot on location at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Zaxby’s restaurant located near IKEA Drive.

Although Poole hasn’t driven since last season, the 23-year old driver has been instrumental in VMS’s success serving as consultant, driver coach and spotter for many of the team’s current and former drivers. But when he does drive, he is exceptionally skilled behind the wheel. In addition to earning the Hoosier Superspeedway Championship in 2012, he also finished a career-best third in championship points in 2012, his only full season in ARCA. Poole also has five wins including in his career-first start at Salem in 2011. He also won at Michigan Int’l Speedway (2013), Springfield dirt mile (2013), Elko Speedway (2012) and Pocono (2012). In 28 career ARCA starts, all with VMS, he has 14 top-five finishes and 22 top-10s and four pole awards. He has led 584 laps overall in 12 races.
