Friday Pre-Race Pit Pass Gets You Right Next to the Action on September 5

The green flag may wave at 7:30 pm on Friday, September 5, but the action at Richmond International Raceway starts well before that. Join us on Pit Road from 11:00 am to 6:30 pm for a pre-race experience like no other! You’ll take in the sights and sounds of race prep – including Knockout Pole Qualifying and practice – from the perspective of a NASCAR crew member.

Friday’s events include Farm Bureau Insurance Pole Qualifying and practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, as well as WRIC-TV8 Pole Qualifying for the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The day’s action is topped off with the Virginia529 College Savings 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race.

Individual Friday Pre-Race Pit Passes, $50 per person, are the only way fans can gain access to pit road on Friday. Passes are available online by clicking here or calling 866-455-7223. In order to purchase the Friday Pre-Race Pit Pass, you must have a ticket for the September 5 events. Pre-Race Pit Passes are limited to guests 16 years of age and older. A parent or guardian must sign waivers for and accompany children younger than 18 who are utilizing Pre-Race Pit Passes.

Children 12 and younger are admitted FREE with a ticketed adult in general admission, making Friday a great family-friendly option. And you know you’re going to have so much fun Friday that you’ll want to come back for Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event, the “One Last Race to Make The Chase.” It’ll be one of the most intense and heated races of the season, with drivers battling for the final spots in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Once the checkered flag flies, the field will be set for the 10-race championship grid. Advance tickets start at $35 and tickets for kids 12 and younger are $25 off the adult price in each section. We also offer tickets for children in the alcohol-free Family Section presented by Virginia 529 College Savings Plan.
