CASSILL ROLLS INTO DOVER

DOVER, Del. – Landon Cassill turned in one of his best performances of the season in the May Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway.

Running well on one of the circuit’s fastest, toughest tracks, Cassill brought home a 14th-place finish.

Cassill looks to better that run in Saturday’s Dover 200 as the series returns to the Monster Mile. He’ll be driving the Medings Seafood/Iron Source Chevrolet No. 01 for JD Motorsports.

“Dover is a tough track, but if you get your car set up right for those tough turns you can do well there,” Cassill said. “It’s very fast for a mile track, but drivers love that. It’s always fun to race there.”

Cassill has plenty of experience at Dover, having run eight Sprint Cup and seven Nationwide races at the track.

DIS will open for Nationwide practice at 10 a.m. Friday. Another session is scheduled at 2 p.m.

Qualifying is set for 12:15 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 3:30 p.m.
