The Big One…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to the largest track on the circuit as the series tackles Talladega Superspeedway. Kennedy has never made a start on the 2.66-mile tri-oval, but had a strong run in the season-opening superspeedway race at Daytona International Speedway. Kennedy started from the pole position and led 52 laps before taking the checkered flag in 15th.

Come Say Hi…Come meet Kennedy and other NCWTS drivers at the series autograph session this weekend. The Rookie of the Year candidate will be signing autographs in the concourse area behind the OV Hill South Grandstands on Friday, October 17 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. local time.

Watch and Listen…The Fred’s 250 powered by Coca-Cola can be seen live on Saturday, October 18 at 12:30 p.m. EDT on FOX. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.

Previous Race Recap…Kennedy overcame an early pit-road penalty to earn a seventh-place finish in his Las Vegas Motor Speedway debut. After being sent to the tail of the field as penalty for crewmembers going over the wall too soon, Kennedy was forced to rally from the back of the pack and endure an 84-lap green-flag run to earn his sixth top 10 of the season and receive Sunoco Rookie of the Race honors for the eighth time in 2014.

Ben Kennedy on Talladega Superspeedway:

“I’ve never raced at Talladega Superspeedway, but I already know that it’s going to be a wild one. Something crazy always happens there. We ran well in Daytona earlier this year and we’re bringing back the same truck, but I know Talladega can be a whole different animal. The key is racing smart so that you can make it to the last lap, and then it’s game on until you cross the finish line.”

Tayler Malsam on racing at Talladega Superspeedway:

“I have mixed feelings about racing at Talladega again. I’ve run there once in the Truck Series and once in the Nationwide Series, and both times I ended up falling out of the race early. I like this track though; its history makes it a lot of fun to race. I plan to lean on my crew chief [Mike] Hillman Jr. a lot this weekend since he has a lot of experience at this track. I just want to put on a great show for the fans and be out there when the checkered flag waves.”
