ADVANCE NOTES

Wallace at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Saturday marks Bubba Wallace’s first NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS).

In two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at LVMS, Wallace has earned two top-five finishes.  In 2013, Wallace qualified 17th and finished fifth after leading 23 laps.  In 2014, Wallace started second and led 84 laps, closing out the day in second.

The No. 6 team brings a new chassis to LVMS.

Speedway Success

In 23 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts at intermediate tracks, from one to two miles, Wallace has earned two wins (Gateway Motorsports Park and Homestead-Miami Speedway), one pole, six top-fives and 13 top-10s, while leading 510 laps.

On the Car

The No. 6 Mustang carries the Ford EcoBoost colors this weekend in Las Vegas.  Ford EcoBoost technology combines smaller overall size with turbocharging, direct injection and variable valve timing to bring customers outstanding performance and fuel economy.

Recapping Atlanta

Wallace earned his second consecutive top-15 finish last weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway, crossing the line in 11th.  The rookie of the year contender qualified 23rd and showed speed early, working his way into the top-15 by Lap 17.  After being trapped one lap down, Wallace rode in the free pass position for several laps, ultimately closing out the day in 11th.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bubba Wallace on racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:

“I’m really looking forward to Las Vegas this weekend.  I know my guys are going to give me a car capable of winning, and it’s a track that I’ve had some strong runs at in the Truck Series.  Our team got a decent balance of what to expect on our 1.5-mile program.  We will build off our run at Atlanta and continue to be a threat.”
