CHASTAIN ROLLING INTO FONTANA

FONTANA, Calif. – Xfinity Series rookie Ross Chastain also will be a track rookie this week as he races at Auto Club Speedway for the first time.

Chastain will drive the Shakey’s Pizza Parlor No. 4 Chevrolet for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller in Saturday’s Drive4Clots.com 300 at ACS.

“It’s the first time at the track for me, but I think I have a pretty good vision of the place from talking to so many people and watching past races,” Chastain said. “It’s a high-speed place, and I like that. I think we’ll have a good piece for the 300.”

Chastain is 12th in Xfinity Series points entering the race. He has a top finish of ninth this season.

Practice is scheduled at 4:30 and 6 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 12:45 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 4.
