CHRIS BUESCHER – No. 34 Dockside Logistics Ford Fusion – “That’s what we were hoping for is to go out there and lay down a pretty solid lap – nice and consistent with nothing crazy. We didn’t hit anything today, so that’s a plus. It was tough getting out of the XFINITY car with our 60 team and trying to figure out what I needed to adapt to to go out there and run a solid lap. These guys at Front Row Motorsports have done a nice job. The car is driving really good. I fit down in the seat pretty decent, so we’re making progress. We’ve got a decent spot for Sunday’s race and now we just need to build on it and learn and see what we can do from there.” WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO GET SOME CUP EXPERIENCE HERE? “It’s crazy the way it all came about and obviously the circumstances for it are very unfortunate. We’re wishing Brian Vickers the best and a speedy recovery. I know it has to be hard to watch this, but with everything shuffling around the way it did it’s nice to be considered to be able to sub in for these guys and be able to make our first Cup start. We’re gonna make the most out of it. I’ve got a lot of learning to do on my side. I even told them, ‘I don’t even know what to tell you to adjust on the car.’ I got out of that XFINITY car and I needed to drive it a little harder. They drive a little different, so props to the guys who do double duty every week. That’s tough.” WHAT IS YOUR GOAL FOR SUNDAY? “The goal is gonna be to just log laps and finish the race and get a solid run out of it. The way everything came about it’s so last-minute we want to go out there and do a good job for Front Row Motorsports. I know they need to come out here and get a good, solid run. I just don’t need to do anything crazy. I’ve got plenty of Cup starts in the future, so this is hopefully the first of many. We’ll go out there and learn what we can and put it in the memory bank so hopefully in the next couple of years when we run a full season we’ll have some track notes from Fontana.”

JOEY LOGANO – No. 22 AAA Ford Fusion – “It’s just flying around a lot. I’d get free in and then get a sensation that it will turn and then the front tires just wash out. We’ve got to figure out why it’s doing that. We unloaded pretty bad today and we’re just trying to figure out how we can get this thing closer. We’re making some small improvements and trying to understand what’s making it do this. Once we can understand what makes it do it, then we can fix it.”

BRAD KESELOWSKI – No. 2 Wurth Ford Fusion – “We’re not far off. We just need a little bit more. We had a decent day today. Obviously, you want to be the best and we were off a little bit from that, but we were still pretty good.”
