ADVANCE NOTES

Biffle at Richmond

Biffle has 25 Sprint Cup Series starts at Richmond, earning two top-five and six top-10 finishes.

One Year Ago at Richmond

Biffle started the race 26th due to qualifying being rained out and looked to have a Ford capable of a top 10.  As the laps dwindled down a tight handling condition developed, and that combined with a few mishaps on pit road resulted in lost track position.  Biffle battled back and earned a 15th-place finish.

In the Points

Biffle is currently 20th in the point standings, 46 points out of 10th.

Biffle on Richmond:

“Richmond is more of a traditional short track.  It’s a fun track and puts on a good show.  The track allows for upper grooves passes and you arne’t locked into one lane.  There’s big, long, fast straightway and little tight corners, lots of technique to getting around Richmond.”

Puccia on Richmond:

“Richmond is always one of our favorite tracks to go to on the circuit.  It’s a unique short track that can be challenging at times to juggle turn in the middle and forward drive off a corner.  Richmond is starting to show a little age and tires make a difference, plus pit strategy is always important.”
