Roush Fenway Racing returns to the site where the famed words “Give me Liberty or Give me Death” were first uttered by Patrick Henry this weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) heads to Richmond International Raceway, a track Roush Fenway hopes to visit Victory Lane at for a 16th time.

Roush Fenway History at Richmond

Overall, Roush Fenway has started 307 races at Richmond, earning a total of 15 victories, 86 top-five and 142 top-10 finishes, 14 poles and 4,956 laps led across the NSCS, NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS).

Tale of the Tape

Roush Fenway has started 187 NSCS races at Richmond, recording a total of five victories, 35 top-five finishes, 70 top-10 finishes, an average finish of 16.4 and has led 2,440 laps.

Saturday Night’s Alright

Four of Roush Fenway’s five Cup wins have come in the fall. Roush Fenway has not won a ‘spring’ race at Richmond since Feb. 25, 1990. Former Roush Fenway driver Carl Edwards earned the organization’s most recent victory at Richmond in Sept. 2013.

Consistency

All seven of Roush Fenway’s drivers have earned at least one top-10 finish in at least one of the three major NASCAR touring series. Greg Biffle leads the way with a comibined total of one win, 11 top-five and 19 top-10 finishes across the three series at Richmond.

It’s Friday, Friday, Gottta Get Down on Friday

Roush Fenway has earned nine victories, 42 top-five finishes, 61 top-10 finishes and an average finish of 11.1 at Richmond in the XFINITY Series. All-in-all, three different drivers are responisbile for the nine victories at the Virginia short track (Edwards, Mark Martin and Jeff Burton).

In The Points

Heading into this weekend at Richmond, all four of Roush Fenway’s XFINITY drivers rank inside the top six in the championship standings. Chris Buescher is tied for first, Bubba Wallace is fourth, Ryan Reed is fifth and Elliott Sadler is sixth.

Home Sweet Home

This weekend’s XFINITY race marks a homecoming for Sadler, the driver of the No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang. Sadler, who hails from Emporia, Va., grew up just over an hour away from Richmond International Raceway.

2015 Roush Fenway Lineup

Roush Fenway Racing fields seven NASCAR teams in 2015. Greg Biffle, Ricky Stenouse Jr. and Trevor Bayne make up the team’s NASCAR Sprint Cup lineup, while Chris Buescher, Ryan Reed, Elliott Sadler and Bubba Wallace make up the team’s NASCAR XFINITY roster.
