Ryan Ellis takes on the No. 1 for MAKE with a special cause

MAKE No. 1 KANSAS RACE PREVIEW
Ryan Ellis and MAKE join efforts with the EDNF to raise awareness

Back On Track…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) returns to the track this weekend in Kansas City, Kansas for the Toyota Tundra 250. Ryan Ellis will make his 2nd NCWTS start at the Kansas Speedway.

This Week’s Silverado…The No.1 MAKE Motorsports EDNF Chevrolet will unload a chassis named “Babe” as all of MAKE’s Chassis are named after pigs. Babe was last seen on track at Atlanta Motor Speedway and driven by Morgan Shepherd.

A Special Cause… The No.1 Chevrolet will be sporting a special logo for the Ehlers Danlos National Foundation. This is a special cause to MAKE because Mark Beaver, MAKE co-owner, has two daughters, Amanda and Emily who have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Individuals with Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) have a genetic defect in their connective tissue, the tissue that provides support to many body parts such as the skin, muscles and ligaments. The fragile skin and unstable joints found in patients with EDS are the result of faulty or reduced amounts of collagen. Collagen is a protein, which acts as a “glue” in the body, adding strength and elasticity to connective tissue.

A Note From EDNF… Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of genetic, degenerative, connective tissue disorders that are little know and often misunderstood. To beat EDS it is vital that we spread awareness, and that is why EDS Awareness Month is so important. Please help us spread EDS awareness this May. Shane Robinson, Executive Director of EDNF stated, “The Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation it’s thrilled to partner with MAKE Motorsports in our mission to defeat Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. By spreading awareness of EDS, MAKE Motorsports is making a big difference in the lives of those affected by EDS.”

Joining In… Burnie Grills, Bubba Burger, Elite Holdings, WIX Filters, AKL Insurance, Beaver Bail Bonds, and Markanda Social Strategies are all associates on the No. 1 Chevrolet.

Watch and Listen… The Toyota Tundra 250 can be seen live on Friday, May 8th on FOX Sports 1. Race coverage will begin at 7 p.m. EST, and the event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Radio, channel 90.

Previous Race Recap… Travis Kvapil drove the No.1 Chevrolet at Martinsville Speedway. Brake issues plaqued the No.1 most of the weekend with Kvapil having to start from the rear. The No.1 then had a gear failure that ended the day.

Ryan Ellis on Racing at Kansas Speedway:
“I’m really excited to get back behind the wheel of a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series truck, especially with a team like MAKE Motorsports. Kansas will be a fun track for us and we will make the most out of the opportunity. It’s been great getting to know the team the past couple weeks and I’m sure we will all work together well. I can’t thank everyone at MAKE Motorsports enough for the opportunity, and I look forward to working with Travis as well.”
