Sadler at Iowa Speedway

Last NASCAR XFINITY Series Race

Sadler finished in seventh-place during Saturday’s NXS race at Talladega Superspeedway on May 2nd. Sadler qualified for the 300-mile event on Saturday morning and started the NXS race from the 10th position. As the defending winner, Sadler quickly worked his to the front and took the lead on the second lap. Not long after grabbing the lead, Sadler was tapped in the right rear and spun down the race track. No damage occurred to the car, but after coming down pit road for fresh tires, Sadler restarted 34th. Sadler battled his way back up to the front and secured the lead again on lap 38. In the closing laps, Sadler was passed when the drafting lanes broke apart behind him. Sadler crossed the finish line three-wide in the seventh position.

2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standings

Following Talladega, Sadler gained points on the leader, but still remains in the seventh position in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After nine races, Sadler is 48 points behind the leader.

QUOTE WORTHY

“Iowa Speedway is one of my favorite venues. Statistically, I’ve done pretty well out there. I celebrated in Victory Lane in 2012, grabbed the pole three times and I’ve finished in the top-ten in each of my eight NASCAR XFINITY Series starts. We were in contention to win at Talladega and we missed a big opportunity to gain some major driver points. Hopefully, we can jump right back on the horse after our off weekend and bring another dominant No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang to Iowa Speedway.”
