CASSILL VETERAN AT CHARLOTTE

CONCORD, N.C. – Although still a young driver, Landon Cassill has a significant history at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Cassill will add more laps to his CMS resume in Saturday’s Hisense 300 as he drives the Flex Seal Chevrolet for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller.Cassill has raced in nine Sprint Cup, four Xfinity and one Camping World Truck Series race at CMS, one of NASCAR’s oldest big tracks.

In 2008, Cassill finished ninth in a CMS Truck race, marking his best finish at the track.

“It only seems like I’ve been driving at Charlotte forever,” Cassill said. “Got a lot of laps around there, for sure. I feel very comfortable racing there. And we usually have very good cars at Charlotte. Looking forward to the weekend.”This week’s unusual schedule will have Xfinity drivers practicing at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (ET) Thursday. The track is closed Friday, and the Hisense 300 is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, following qualifying at 11:15 a.m.
