Twisted Tea Adds Races with Hornish and No. 9 Team

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 20, 2015) – After serving as the primary sponsor of the No. 9 Ford Fusion team for select races beginning in 2014, Twisted Tea Brewing Company has once again increased their partnership with Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) by adding two additional races to their 2015 schedule. The Twisted Tea colors will return to the No. 9 Ford beginning this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Coca-Cola 600 and the following weekend at Dover International Speedway for the FedEx 400 Benefiting Autism Speaks.

It was announced earlier this year that the hard iced tea company will serve as the primary sponsor for the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway in July. They also opened the season as the primary sponsor during Hornish’s debut with RPM.

“We’ve received a strong response from our drinkers and NASCAR fans regarding our relationship with Richard Petty Motorsports and Sam Hornish Jr.,” said Robert Vail, member of the Twisted Tea team. “The Coca-Cola 600 falls on a unique weekend when we take time to honor our nation’s military and those that serve. It also happens to be one of the biggest weekends for motorsports and the unofficial kick-off of summer. It will be great to have the Twisted Tea colors back on the No. 9 car this weekend as well as next weekend at Dover.”

Hornish is looking forward to adorning the yellow and blue paint scheme again in 2015.

“I think it’s great that we’ll have Twisted Tea with us for two more races this year,” said Hornish. “They’re a fun brand and a great partner for our team. They’ve given us a tremendous amount of support. We had a strong run the last time they were on our car for the Daytona 500 and I think we can do that again these next two races.”

Live coverage of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway will air at 6 p.m. ET on FOX. Coverage for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway will air at 1 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
