125 LAPS, 250 MILES

This Week’s Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota at Michigan International Speedway:  J.J. Yeley will pilot Chassis No. 221 in the Great Clips 250 at Michigan International Speedway. This will be the second race of the season for this chassis as it previously raced at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Yeley at Michigan International Speedway:

J.J. will be making his eighth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Michigan International Speedway to go along with 13 previous starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and three starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Yeley has a best XFINITY Series finish of ninth at the 2.0-mile track which occurred during the 2006 NASCAR XFINITY Series season.

Yeley also has a Pole Award at the track which came in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series during the 2007 season.

Last year J.J. and his No. 28 JGL Racing team finished 21st at the track located in the Irish Hills of Michigan.

J.J.’s Thoughts on Michigan:

“Michigan is one of my favorite tracks as I really enjoy racing the two-mile track.  The track is one of the fastest we race on all year – especially after the repave a few years ago.  With the fast speeds it is very important to get a good balance on your car for the race. We have been making solid gains on our overall package here at JGL Racing and I know my guys will have my No. 28 Toyota tuned up and ready for 250 miles on Saturday.”

“The fans at Michigan are some of the best we see all year.  The infield area and campground is so lively and really just a huge party.  It always makes it nice knowing we are heading to a fun track to run with a great crowd there to cheer you on.”
