ADVANCE NOTES

Biffle at Daytona

Biffle has 25 Sprint Cup Series starts at Daytona, earning one win, three top-five and eight top-10 finishes.

First Win

Biffle earned his first Sprint Cup win in the July 2003 Daytona race.

One Year Ago at Daytona

Rain wreaked havoc on the Coke Zero 400 July 4th weekend in Daytona.  What should have been a Saturday night race turned into a rain-shortened Sunday afternoon race.  Biffle led for a total of nine laps before being involved in a wreck on lap 98.  Biffle’s long-standing DNF streak came to an end as the race ended on lap 112 for rain while the No. 16 was still in the garage for repairs, leaving Biffle with a 29th-place finish.

In the Points

Biffle is currently 20th in the point standings, 62 points out of 16th.

Biffle on Daytona:

“I’m looking forward to this weekend.  Hopefully we can get a top-10 finish or a win.  Daytona under the lights is always exciting and was the site of my first win, a long time ago.  I’m hoping to back it up with another this weekend.”

Puccia on Daytona:

“We are ready for Daytona.  Our Superspeedway program has been always been strong and I don’t expect anything less this go around.  We had a decent May and some bad luck lately but Daytona is a good opportunity to get things headed in the right direction for the next few weeks.  We’ve got a lot of good races here in front of us and are looking to get a good finish in Daytona.”
