STECKLY LOOKS FORWARD TO RETURN TO AUTODROME ST. EUSTACHE

Thursday July 23, 2015, Milverton, ON:  Scott Steckly driver of the 22 Racing/Canadian Tire Dodge is looking forward to this weekend’s event at Autodrome St. Eustache.  Steckly is the winningest driver in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series at this facility and looks to add to the win column here again on Saturday night.

“I don’t know what it is about this place,” said Steckly referring to Autodrome St. Eustache.  “But we have great races here and have enjoyed a ton of success.  I guess part of it is that I grew up racing on the small bullrings around Ontario so this place just suits my style.”

Steckly’s credentials here are second to none.  In six events he has four wins, one pole, 6 top 5’s, most laps led with 583 and he is the only driver to have completed all laps (1509) raced here.  That’s quite a resume and one he hopes to add to in Saturday’s Lucas Oil National 250.  “The pressure is on to do well this weekend,” said Steckly. “Not only because we have done so well here but we have a slim lead in the championship points over Jason Hathaway who also runs really well on the ovals.”

Steckly is gunning to tie a couple of NASCAR records namely winning three events in a row on the same track a feat only accomplished by one other driver and to win five races on the same track a feat again only accomplished by one other driver in the series.

The Lucas Oil National 250 takes place on Saturday July 25th with practice sessions from 12 – 12:30 and 1 – 1:30 p.m., qualifying at 4:15 p.m. autograph session at 6:45 p.m. and green flag at 8 p.m.

Scott Steckly and 22 Racing are supported by Canadian Tire, MAXIMUM Tools, Mobil 1, Erb Group, AW Millwrights, Reefer Sales, NOCO Lubricants & Sturdy Formed Concrete.
