S.C. EDUCATION LOTTERY ONBOARD WITH CHASTAIN

GAFFNEY, S.C. – JD Motorsports with Gary Keller announced Wednesday that the South Carolina Education Lottery will sponsor the No. 4 Chevrolet driven by Ross Chastain in Saturday’s VFW Sport Clips Help a Hero 200 at Darlington Raceway, where vintage race car numbers representing our state’s rich racing history will compete to highlight and support veterans.

It’s a fitting partnership, because the Lottery provides scholarships for South Carolinians, including members of the S.C. National Guard, many of whom are veterans of foreign conflicts.

In all, more than 1.4 million lottery-funded scholarships have been awarded to South Carolina’s students since the games began here in 2002.  And more than $3.4 billion has supported higher education programs, K-12 education programs and county libraries.

“The S.C. Education Lottery does so much to help the schools and students here in my home state,” says JD Motorsports team owner Johnny Davis. “Having their support this weekend on the No. 4 car, sporting the same number designs as the first racecar I ever took to the track, really means a lot to me and this team.”

JD Motorsports is headquartered in Gaffney, S.C., adding another South Carolina connection.

Driver Ross Chastain quipped, “The odds of the number 4 car winning depend on crossing the finish line first!”
