CASSILL BACK AT DARLINGTON

DARLINGTON, S.C. – Landon Cassill returns to the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 01 Chevrolet this weekend as the Xfinity Series rolls onto the most historic stock car track on the schedule – Darlington Raceway.

Racing began at Darlington in 1950 with the first running of the Southern 500 Sprint Cup race. Across all those years, the track has been considered one of the toughest in racing.

Cassill will be making his seventh run at Darlington in Saturday’s VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200. He’ll be in the Flex Seal Chevrolet.

“I’ve always had a lot of respect for Darlington,” Cassill said. “So much history and great racing there. It’s a tough track, but I like the challenge.”

Cassill has driven in four Sprint Cup and two Xfinity races at the track with the “Too Tough To Tame” nickname.
Darlington practice is scheduled at 1 and 3 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 3:30 p.m.
