A total of 23 Team Chevy drivers will start the myAFibRisk.com 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Chicagoland Speedway. The 267-lap/400.5-mile race is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon September 20. Live coverage will be available on NBC Sports Network (NBCSN), MRN, Sirius NASCAR Radio Channel 90 and NASCAR.com.

 

CHEVROLET DRIVERS STARTING IN THE TOP-10:

  • Kevin Harvick, No. 4 Budweiser/Jimmy John’s Chevrolet SS will start on the pole

o   Field was set by provisions in rulebook after weather forced cancelation of qualifying

  • Martin Truex, Jr., No. 78 Furniture Row/Visser Precision Chevrolet SS starts 4th
  • Austin Dillon, No. 3 American Ethanol Chevrolet SS starts from the 5th position
  • Ryan Newman, No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet SS, rolls off the grid in 6th
  • Kasey Kahne, No. 5 Great Clips Chevrolet SS, will start in the 8th position
  • Kurt Busch, No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet SS, starts in the 9th position
  • Jeff Gordon, No. 24 AXALTA Chevrolet SS, starts in 10th place

 

STARTING POSITIONS FOR OTHER TEAM CHEVY DRIVERS IN THE CHASE FOR THE NASCAR SPRINT CUP:

  • Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS, starts 11th
  • Jamie McMurray, No. 1 McDonald’s/Cessna Chevrolet SS, rolls off 12th
  • Paul Menard, No. 27 Pittsburgh Paints/Menards Chevrolet SS, will start 16th
  • Dale Earnhardt, Jr., No. 88 Diet Mountain Dew Chevrolet SS, is the 19th place starter

Chevrolet has won 38 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) Manufacturers’ Championships

Team Chevy drivers have scored 749 wins and 676 poles in NSCS competition

  • Chevrolet drivers have won eight of 14 races at Chicagoland Speedway. Victories by current Team Chevy drivers are:
    • Tony Stewart, No. 14 Mobil 1/Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet SS, has three victories at Chicagoland Speedway (’04, ’07 & ’11)
    • Kevin Harvick, No. 4 Jimmy John’s/Budweiser Chevrolet SS, has two wins at Chicagoland Speedway (’01 & ‘02)
    • Dale Earnhardt, Jr., No. 88 Diet Mountain Dew Chevrolet SS, has one victory at Chicagoland Speedway (’05)
    • Jeff Gordon, No. 24 Axlata Chevrolet SS, has visited Victory Lane at Chicagoland Speedway once (’06)
    • Ryan Newman, No. 31 Caterpillar Chevrolet SS, has one trophy from Chicagoland Speedway (’03)
  • A Chevrolet driver has won one of the last four races at Chicagoland Speedway
  • A Chevrolet driver has sat on the pole at Chicagoland Speedway seven times
  • Team Chevy drivers have scored 43 top-five and 75 top-10 finishes at Chicagoland Speedway
  • A Chevrolet has led 2,119 laps (56.6% of possible 3,741 laps) at Chicagoland Speedway
