Stenhouse Jr. at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Stenhouse Jr. has five NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with an average starting position of 25.4 and average finishing position of 24.6.

Earlier This Year at New Hampshire

With less than 50 laps remaining in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup (NSCS) race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. came down pit road under caution running in the ninth position but a lug nut knocked the valve stem off his right front tire causing Stenhouse to return to pit road for an unscheduled pit stop. After restarting 21st, Stenhouse bullied his way back to pick up four additional positions in the final laps to take the checkered flag in the 17th place.

On the Car

The No. 17 Fusion carries the Ford EcoBoost colors this weekend at Loudon. Ford EcoBoost technology combines smaller overall size with turbocharging, direct injection and variable valve timing to bring customers outstanding performance and fuel economy.

Stenhouse Jr. on racing at New Hampshire:

“We had a strong run at Loudon earlier this year until the lug nut knocked off the valve stem on our tire so I think we are looking for some redemption this weekend. Since this is the home track for Fenway Sports Group, we always want to have a solid finish. Our goal these final nine races are to have some strong runs and just keep building for next year.”

Sandler on racing at New Hampshire:

“Earlier this year, we definitely didn’t get the finish we deserved at Loudon due to the rare occurrence of the lug nut knocking off the valve stem causing our front tire to go flat. We’ve been competitive on short tracks this season so hopefully we can have another strong run this weekend at Fenway Sports Group’s home track. Track position is key so qualifying will be really important on Friday. Turn three is really rough so the key is to have a good balance on your car. If we can stay up front then we should leave Loudon with another solid finish.”
